Jennifer Hudson graces the cover of the March issue of Vogue. Doesn’t she look beautiful? The photo was taken by Annie Leibovitz and the dress designed by Carolina Herrera. Here’s a rather startling statistic–Jennifer is the first African American singer, and only the third African-American celebrity (Halle Berry and Oprah are the others) to appear on the cover. Ever. Wow.
Congrats to Jennifer, whose rise to fame has morphed into a real-life Cinderella story.
Another Season 3 Diva, Fantasia is headed to Broadway. She’ll be starring in the Broadway production of “The Color Purple” this spring. Producer Oprah Winfrey plans to have Fantasia guest on her show in the near future.
Elliott Yamin tells his fans via his My Space:
I actually wrote that [Movin’ On] w/Ollie Goldstein and DJ Lethal right before we left for the AI LIVE Tour last summer. Just to clear up some of the confusion by the way…..Although “Movin On” has been well-received, our main intent w/this song was to simply treat it as a “teaser” so to speak…it will be on the album for sure, however we only intended to release it to DSP’s (digital service providers) only. ie…. yahoo, aol..etc…My first single entitled “Wait For You” should be released to radio within the next 2 weeks! I’m on pins and needles waiting to share this song w/ya’ll!!…I recorded it w/the dynamic and immensly popular duo of Stargate and Taj Jackson while I was in New York this winter.
Elliott’s album drops on March 20.
