American Idol Star Jena Irene Talks to Deadline Detroit About the Show and Touring – DD: What’s your game plan for after the tour?
Jena: I’m still on hold. I definitely want to sign with 19 Entertainment because I’ve already been working with them the past 6 months and they’re really good people. But, it’s up to them to decide if they want to pick me up. I’m also researching different writers that I would want to write with for the album. DD: Do you have any idea what direction you want to take the album in?
Jena: I want me with a piano playing Paramore-sounding stuff mixed with house. House music has always been my favorite type of music. It gets me so pumped up! – Read more at Deadline Detroit

The season-10 favorite reveals “Idol” judge has “taken singer under her wing” during Beverly Hills charity event at Crustacean for David Foster Foundation. – “Jen’s been really amazing to me since I did the show and she’s always been very supportive,” Toscano gushed. “The fact that she’s kind of taken me under her wing and trusts me to sing on stage with her and perform with her is a true blessing. I’m learning a lot from her. That, for me, is the best experience.” Other Idol alums Jessica Sanchez (season-11 runner-up) and Candice Glover (season-12 winner), also joined Toscano onstage. Additional highlights included performances by Juliet Simms (The Voice, season two), Nikola Bedingfield (sister of Daniel and Natasha Bedingfield), boy-band-turned-solo-artist Travis Garland, a break-up anthem from Brandyn Burnette, an acoustic set from Open Air Stereo and a sampling of songs by newbie Noelle Bean. – Read more at The Hollywood Reporter

I’m really excited to go to Hershey,” Lee said. “Just because it’s based on chocolate, it’s already met my expectations.” This tour is the first of many, we predict for Lee. While the winner of “The Voice” receives a contract from Universal, Lee just missed the cut. Even though she came in second place to Tessanne Chin, Lee’s booming voice landed her a contract with Atlantic Records. She said at the end of the show, she was nervous. – Read more at Penn Live

Leona Lewis: ‘It must be terrible to be One Direction’ – Leona Lewis has sympathised with One Direction, telling Digital Spy that it must be “terrible” to live at their level of fame.
