Jordin Sparks tweeted this morning, “I really enjoyed my time in Kuwait & Afghanistan meeting the troops at some of the bases! Onto the next location!” Jordin is currently on a tour with the USO.

Idol music director, Michael Orland tweets, “Just finished Day 4 of 8 days for Season 11 “Hollywood Week” – not enuf sleep but having the time of my life. Miss my @LythgoeFamProd gang.”

Siobhan breaks free

On “Always Thinking,” the closing track of the excellent, long-awaited debut “Moonbaby” (Snotface Records) by Cape Cod’s own Siobhan Magnus, she sings, “I’m always tired ’cause I can’t stop thinking.” Any artist worth taking seriously would tell her, “Get used to the condition.”

“Moonbaby” will be available in a limited pre-release starting today, when Magnus will appear at the Cape Cod Mall to sign copies (see box). It will be available online in a digital version Jan. 1. Its official physical release will be Feb. 17.

Two New Performers Added to the Star-Studded Lineup of The Barefoot Formal at Casa Dorada

The already star-studded lineup for the 2nd annual Barefoot Formal at Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on New Year’s Eve, just got even better.

“So You Think You Can Dance” All-stars Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss (Season 4’s runner up) and Allison Holker (Top 8, Season 2) will join already announced “SYTYCD” veterans Dmitry Chaplin and Chelsie Hightower as well as “Queen of Scream” judge Mary Murphy, who will host the New Year’s Eve show. Also performing will be “Dancing with the Stars” professional dancers Louis Van Amstel, Anna Trebunskaya, Jonathan Roberts, and “American Idol” standouts Michael Johns, Melinda Doolittle, Rickey Smith and LaToya London. “Idol’s” Michael Orland will serve as the show’s musical director. The evening will conclude with an explosion of fireworks over the Sea of Cortez.
