Jordin Sparks Guest Blogs About Visiting High Schools, Traveling & Eating Frog Legs!!!

Even though I’m on the road all the time, when People to People invited me to become their first celebrity Ambassador I jumped at the chance. In my travels all I usually get to see are arenas and hotels — I never have the opportunity to actually take in the cultures of the places I visit. So this past summer I joined a great delegation of American students from Rome, NY, for a once-in-a-lifetime trip. I got to do so much from learning how to make traditional apfelstrudel in Austria to eating frogs legs (ew!) in Paris (my first time there!), to visiting some of the most iconic sites like The Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. We even visited a concentration camp and met a Holocaust survivor — such a sobering moment and one I won’t soon forget. As a total history buff, it was amazing to see the things I read about in school with my own eyes!

James Durbin talks his new album, ‘American Idol’ and wedding plans

“It’s a rock record, it’s a hard rock record,” Durbin told OnTheRedCarpet.com. “It’s got some heavier tunes on there. I wanted to ease on in to it, just ease on in to it, little by little. Second album? Who knows what a mess of craziness that’s going to be. But for this album, I took what I loved from the music that I listen to.”

Durbin went on to talk about “American Idol” and while the show helped him gain him exposure it also stifled his individuality a bit.

“After ‘Idol,’ making my album – I’m going places,” Durbin said. “Even just going to the grocery store you get talked to by a bunch of people. It’s so much different, it’s so much more personable. I actually feel like a human being, rather than when I was on the show, I just felt like a marionette.”

EXCLUSIVE: Darren Criss Talks ‘Glee’ & ‘Grease’

“I’m such a sucker for Old Hollywood,” he said Thursday night at the Miss Golden Globe announcement event. “I think a lot of things we make reference to would be over a lot of people’s heads unless you were an adult in the early 60s. It’s a wonderful, nostalgic episode.”

Clips reveal that viewers will be treated to a black-and-white song and dance number from Criss and his on-screen love interest played by Chris Colfer on a set modeled after Judy Garland’s classic Christmas Special. The premise involves the club doing a Christmas Special within the show, and was directed by their co-star Matthew Morrison.
