Jay-Z Didn’t Sign ‘X Factor’ Rapper Astro To Roc Nation
Despite all of the rumors that have been circulating on the web in the past few days, X Factor’s whiz kid, Astro, tells MTV News that he hasn’t actually signed a deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label. “I don’t have a check or a contract, so as far as I know, I’m not signed,” the 15-year-old MC said, when he stopped by our newsroom on Monday (December 5).
Last week, rumors that Hov signed the L.A. Reid-backed Astronomical Kid began to swirl online but the upstart rapper shot down the buzz. “I have never met anyone from Roc Nation. I’d love to, but I’m not signed right now to anyone,” he said. “Nobody ever hit me up about that — just go on the Internet and it’s up there. But I’m not signed as far as I know.”

The new film, New Year’s Day had its premiere in Hollywood last night, and many Glee stars came out to support Lea Michele who co-stars in the movie. Garry Marshall directs the all-star cast of characters, including Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl and a slew random cameos including Ryan Seacrest, Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert Diniro and more. Other Glee stars attending the premiere included Harry Shum Jr, Mark Salling and Corey Monteith.
Carrie Underwood on Having Kids: “We’re Not Ready”
Last night at the American Country Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, newlywed Carrrie Underwood dished to OK! about her future plans to not have kids. Indicating hubby hockey player Mike Fisher’s schedule is “absolutely insane,” it doesn’t sound like the pitter patter of little feet will be arriving any time soon!
Carrie told OK!, “I’m still a newlywed and with next year being so busy and I think 2013 is probably going to end up being pretty busy as well and my husband’s hockey schedule is absolutely insane.”
