HDD – Album Sales Prediction : Nov 28-Dec 3

Another week, another chart dominated by Canadians. This week, Michael Buble tops our partial HDD report with 37.17% reporting. With over 202K in sales reported already, the boy from Burnaby has nothing to fear from the boy from Stratford (Justin Bieber). Rounding out the top 10 for the Canucks are Nickelback in 4th and Drake in 6th.

Adele returns to the top 3 where she has spent most of the year. The ever popular NOW series (now NOW 40) is in 5th, Mary J Blige is in 7th, Rihanna is in 9th for her second week and Lady Antebellum is in 10th.

Scotty McCreery is showing his CD has the best debut album legs since probably Daughtry by managing to stay in the top 10 during the competitive Q4 market in his 9th week. The album is currently in 8th, but Country albums tend to do disproportionally well on the first day of reports (which is to say, it may not stay in the top 10). It is in a good position to be the top Country album for another week.

Other Idols on the chart are Season 5’s Daughtry at 11th, Season 1’s Kelly (dueting with Jason at 13th, solo at 30th and on Now 40 at 5th), Season 4’s Carrie (dueting with Tony at 44th and on Now Christmas 4 at 12th), Season 10’s James Durbin at 48th and Season 10’s Lauren Alaina at 50th.

Simon’s Got Talent franchise is also all over the chart. Jackie is at 16, SuBo right behind at 17th (and 25th) and Landau at 34th. The Voice judges are holding down positions 38 and 44. Meanwhile, Glee is at 20th and 49th.

Final charts should be up around 1pm PST.
