LA Music Examiner: You have a new single “Alright With Me”. You wrote the song with Joe King. What can you tell us about the song? Are there plans for a video or radio adds?

Kris Allen: Yes, that is the new single. It is just about trying to get the girl. A couple of radio stations have already started to play the song which is good and is going for radio. Kris them mention the special video for the fans and a special acoustic song with a video coming out soon for “Before We Come Undone”

SYTYCD Judge: Why I’m Leaving the Show

Michaels says it was her decision to move on.

“Last year when I was sitting on the [judges] panel, I knew it wasn’t the right fit because I felt too glossy sitting on the panel, ” she exclusively tells us. “People were so focused on what I wore and my hair. I wanted to get dirty and back to the work. I am an artist and I’m a visionary. I need to paint my world now and not be constantly linked to So You think You Can Dance.”

Not that she doesn’t appreciate what SYTYCD has done for her. “It’s been a great platform, ” Michaels says. “It was a wonderful platform. I’m staring at [my] two Emmys right now. It was an amazing, amazing thing for me but I feel like I have to fly. I have to now focus on Mia’s world.”

Newly married Crystal Bowersox promotes inaugural CD at wine country music showcase

Affixing her signature to a giant stack of photos while joking with members of her management team, Crystal Bowersox didn’t exhibit any of the jitters one would expect of a vocalist scheduled to perform in less than an hour.

Runner-up on last season’s “American Idol” vocal competition, the 25-year-old Elliston, Ohio, native came to wine country recently to promote her inaugural recording and entertain attendees at Live in the Vineyard.

Celebrities Donate to Support Music Education Scholarships for Kansas City Children and Families

Online PR News – 22-November-2010 – Celebrities from around the world have donated items to be auctioned at the 2010 Kansas City Vocal Institute Charity Auction. Celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, David Cook, Melissa Etheridge, Yo-Yo Ma, Tom Watson, Maya Angelou, and many more support scholarships that provide free or greatly discounted music education through the Kansas City Vocal Institute. The scholarships provide underprivileged children and families in the Kansas City metropolitan area with free voice lessons, music theory instruction, and diction tutors for up to an entire year.

John Williams has donated an autographed copy of the title theme from the film score “Star Wars”, which won four Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, and an Oscar. James Horner has provided an autographed page from the “Avatar” film score and Randy Newman is auctioning a page from the “Toy Story 3” film score. All of the proceeds from each item will benefit their donor’s scholarship fund.
