Adam Lambert’s Back-up Dancer Temporarily Detained at NAIA

MANILA, Philippines – A police aviation security confirmed Monday that a back-up dancer of the American Idol runner-up was temporarily held at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport after officials spotted ammunition for an Armalite rifle inside the dancer’s luggage.

The ammunition were spotted through the airport’s X-ray scanner.

Chief Superintendent Pedro Desuasido of the Aviation Security Group said Taylor Brattun Green, 20, was about to board the Cathay Pacific flight 900 en route to Hong Kong when he was accosted at the departure area of NAIA terminal 1.

Desuasido said that the ammunition, all 18 pieces of them, were used as props for the concert held Sunday night.

No charges were filed and Green was eventually released.

Malaysia Islamists Object to Adam Lambert Concert

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) – Malaysia’s Islamist opposition party on Monday demanded that authorities cancel a planned concert by U.S. glam rocker Adam Lambert that they say is promoting “gay culture” in the mainly Muslim country.

The Pan Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) has also threatened to call “as many of its members and supporters” to proselytize to concert-goers if the performance by the former “American Idol” runner-up goes ahead on Thursday, a party official said.

“Adam Lambert’s shows… are outrageous, with lewd dancing and a gay performance that includes kissing male dancers, this is not good for people in our country, ” said PAS Youth leader Nasrudin Hasan. Homosexual sex is a criminal offence in Malaysia.

Before Leaving Texas, Casey Discussed Music, Heading to Nashville and His Upcoming CD

If you expected Casey James to sound frazzled after the year he’s had, you’d be surprised. The voice on the other end of the phone, who told me he was “relaxing here in Ft. Worth, Texas, ” sounded rested and happy. It
was an ordinary Saturday. Casey had spent the day over at his best friend Jake’s house and watched the Texas – Oklahoma college football game. He joked about the Texas team’s less-than-impressive performance and reflected on how great it was to be able to do something so normal after such a whirlwind year.

Ah, Nashville. Music City USA. Home of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry. Casey’s excitement about heading to Nashville is palpable and infectious. Any question about why someone often described as a blues rocker signed with a country label was quickly dispelled. “I love country music, always have and always will. That’s where I’m at. I’m signed to Sony Nashville and things could not be any better. And the thing that I’m most excited about is that I’m going to bring something new to the situation. And to be honest with you I know that they’re excited about it as well.”

FYD blame running order for exit

X Factor rejects FYD have blamed the show’s running order for them being given the boot in the first week of live finals.

The group said that being the first act on Saturday’s show had counted against them because some viewers missed the early minutes of the show.

The five piece boyband from London – Matthew Lawton, 26, Kalvin Lamey, 25, Alex Murdoch, 22, Ryan-Lee Seager, 22, and Jordan Gabriel, 22 – were left in the bottom three after the public vote.

They were booted off after competing in the sing-off against Katie Waissel, and only their mentor Simon Cowell chose to try to save them.

FYI — the other ex-hubby we’re referring to is Ojani Noa … who recently announced that he was going to crash this year’s “Idol” auditions … even though he’s 8 years past the limit.
