New Interview with Scott MacIntyre

“I’m really excited about the book and the title. It’s been a long time in the making and it’s been a process finding a home for my story, ” Scott shared. “I met with three major publishers since my time on American Idol. When I went into Thomas Nelson Publishing and met with [Senior Vice President and Publisher] Matt Baugher, it felt like home. They were enthralled and saw the potential my story had. I wanted to do a book on my life since before Idol, and I didn’t have an audience for it until now.

Was Steven Tyler Tipping David Ortiz Off? The Whiny Yankee Fan Story

CONTROVERSY!

The enfatuation isn’t likely to simmer down anytime soon, either, especially now that those oh-so-endearing Yankee backers are now claiming that the lead singer of Aerosmith tipped off David Ortiz right before he hit the bomb that put Boston up 2-1 in Friday night’s eventual 3-2 loss to the Bronx Smallballers (ed. note: “small ball” is a baseball term and is in no way indicative of the collective testicular fortitude of the Yankee roster, however realistic a comparison it might actually be).

What actually happened, of course, is that Steven Tyler saw himself on TV and, like he always does whenever people are paying attention to him, he hogged the spotlight. The eight-second tape delay notwithstanding, nothing that Tyler did affected the approach that Ortiz took to the at-bat or the ensuing result.

Chris Colfer and Darren Criss On What’s Next For Their “Glee” Characters

The film breaks up the cast’s concert footage with featurettes on three unique teenage Glee fans, including Trenton, a gay teen who came out in the eighth grade after having his journal stolen and hand-delivered to his secret crush. Trenton discusses how much of a positive influence Colfer’s character has been on his life. “It’s crazy when you represent such a select community, just the stories that you hear that are heartbreaking and inspiring, and they always thank you so much, not realizing that it’s really them who are brave and are the strong ones, ” Colfer says.

Criss agrees, adding that the response from gay fans has made him take his character more seriously. “They are much greater than they think they are, because it comes right back to us, and that goes into every performance, ” he says. “It’s not just a job anymore. It’s like I’ve been given this superhero’s costume and I get to play him, and it’s a privilege.”

‘Glee’ Changes at the ‘Glee 3D’ Premiere

Show creator Ryan Murphy was also on hand to support the film, and talked about his recent incendiary comments that fan favorites Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer would not be returning for another season.

“I don’t regret saying anything because all I said was the truth, ” he reiterates. “What I said was that three of them are graduating and that they were going to be doing a spinoff, but now we’re not doing a spinoff so they’ll probably stay in that world.”

Uh, Ryan? Have you talked to your bosses lately? Kevin Reilly says there still might be a spinoff.  And when you laid your bombshell about the graduating seniors, you did not mention the spinoff, leaving your actors to twist in the wind when asked about it.  Ryan Murphy… STILL AN ASSHAT.

The Glee Cast Had No Idea That Jane Lynch Wasn’t In Their Movie

The cast had no idea that Jane Lynch is M.I.A. in their 3D Concert Movie.
When asked why Jane Lynch appeared in the film’s trailer and not the actual movie, the entire panel responded with a surprised, “What?!”

When pressed for other concert moments that the cast was disappointed to see had not made the final movie cut, Darren Criss offered, “We haven’t seen it. But I’m sure there are.”

Darren Criss and Ashley Fink were both mistaken for fans…and savagely tackled…by Glee’s own security team.
“I didn’t miss a single Amber Riley performance the entire tour. I even tried to hug her once [after she finished but] I had put on a hoodie and the security guys were like ninjas, ” Darren Criss said. “It was my fault. I went to go hug her backstage, just did a beeline for her, and I just got tackled.”
