Thousands cram downtown St. Louis for American Idol auditions

Thousands of American Idol hopefuls have jammed ths streets outside the Scottrade Center this morning for a chance to show off their pipes and earn a ticket to Hollywood.

Already by 5:30 a.m., crowds filled 14th and Market streets outside the arena and St. Louis City Hall for a chance to audition.

St. Louis is the first audition city for the show’s upcoming 11th season.

The X Factor final is going to be at Wembley

Bigger doesn’t always mean better, but Simon Cowell is hoping that moving the final of this year’s X Factor to Wembley arena will impress the show’s fans.

The live X Factor shows are usually filmed in a 300-seat TV studio, but this year the plan is to have a spectacular live grand final at the 12, 500-seat Wembley arena. Ok, we have to admit the idea does sounds pretty impressive – the final will be like proper pop concert. A show insider told The Sun about the revamped show, “There may have been some concerns about the change in the judging panel, but viewers will forget all of that when they see the new-look show and final. We are very excited about making it bigger and better.”

X Factor Judge Assault Allegations Dropped

X Factor judge Louis Walsh has welcomed the news that Irish police have dropped an investigation into an accusation of an alleged indecent assault.

Walsh had denied the allegations that he assaulted a man in a nightclub in Dublin, and called them “wholly false and with no foundation”.

It has since emerged that a 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of knowingly making a false report to the Gardai.
