Jennifer Hudson to open Las Vegas arts center – LAS VEGAS (AP) — Jennifer Hudson, Willie Nelson, Carole King and Martina McBride are helping Las Vegas open its new $470 million preforming arts center. The star-studded concert on Saturday marks the grand opening of the Smith Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Las Vegas. Trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, violinist Joshua Bell and dancers from the American Ballet Theatre are also scheduled to perform during the nearly two-hour concert. X Factor Star Rachel Crow Wants to Work With Who?! – Rachel is in the very early stages of putting together her debut album for Columbia Records. “I would love to have someone rapping in one of my songs,” the teen songbird told me the other day while filming her new gig on Nickelodeon’s Fred: The Show. “Eminem!
