Jennifer Hudson mansion deal falls apart – One of the biggest area celebrity real estate deals of the last few months, it now turns out, is one that didn’t happen. On Nov. 30, actress and singer Jennifer Hudson, a Chicago native, reportedly was under contract to buy a six-bedroom, 12,000-square-foot mansion in Burr Ridge that had been listed for $2.795 million. The deal was set to close in January. However, the purchase never materialized, falling apart just days after that report, apparently because of media attention. – Read more at Chicago Tribune
