Christmas Movies, featuring American Idol alums

Round the clock Christmas movies are firing up on both Lifetime and Hallmark cable channels. A couple of films feature American Idol alums. On Monday November 29, Welcome to the Christmas Family Reunion premieres on Lifetime. The film stars Asia’h Epperson from the season 7 Top 24. She plays “rising singer Tiffanie Christmas” who is planning her holiday family reunion. Over on Hallmark, season 6 winner Jordin Sparks stars in A Christmas Treasure premiering on November 7.  The Logline reads, “”After opening a 100-year-old time capsule and meeting a charming chef, Lou questions whether or not she should move to New York after Christmas and further her writing career.” ETA: Additionally, American Idol 10 winner Scotty McCreery is producing a movie for Hallmark called Five More Minutes based on the song of the same name.  It stars Nikki Deloach, David Haydn-Jones. The plot involves “a woman’s Christmas wish answered in unexpected ways when her late grandfather’s journal turns up and reveals an untold romance.” See the full schedules at TV Guide.

The powerhouse vocalist known for a breakthrough run on American Idol and as the current singer of Queen continues his headlining engagement at Venetian this week, and he’ll broadcast his October 29 concert live via Looped. Tickets for the stream are available at adamlambert.net. It’s the first time an artist has offered a ticketed livestream for concertgoers at any venue at Venetian or Palazzo, and it’s likely one of the first such endeavors on the Las Vegas Strip. “I feel very lucky to have fans who travel internationally and like to come to my shows, and Vegas is an amazing place to be performing from in that regard,” Lambert, who played a series of shows with Queen at Park MGM in 2018, tells the Weekly. “A lot of them can’t get into the country right now, and a lot of others just don’t feel comfortable traveling in our country.
