With 31.77% of reports in, P!NK is leading the charge. This is her first album of new material since she took a short break to have her child (her last album was a compilation album with some new tracks). This is her 6th studio album and could potentially be her first number one album with over 200K in sales. The big challenge will come from Kayne’s compilation album “G.O.O.D. Music Cruel Summer” which is currently debuting in second.
The Dave Mathews Band, which had the number one album is in third, alt-Rockers Killers are in fourth, and the Avett Brothers are 5th.
Voice Judge Adam’s band, Maroon 5 is in the 6th position and Canadian Idol’s Carly Rae Jepsen is debuting in 7th. “Kiss” is her second studio album (third if you count EPs), but her first real foray into the American market. Adele continues to make her presence known at 8th, Little Big Town is 9th and 2 Chainz closes out the top 10.
One Direction’s first album, “Up All Night” is in 14th as the band prepares to release their second album in November. Carrie Underwood’s 4th studio album sits at 22nd. Carly Rae Jepsen, One Direction, Cher Lloyd, XF US judge Demi Lovato and Voice judge Adam Levine are all featured on Now 42 currently at 15th while Kelly Clarkson appears on Jason Aldean’s 45th placed album.
