Glee will return from hiatus on January 17 with an episode called “Yes/No” that will revolve around New Directions coach, Will Schuester (Matt Morrison) popping the question to his love, guidance counselor, Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays). Or maybe the other way around? Hm.
Of course, his proposal will come with a little help from the Glee kids! Check out the new promos below for a few sneak peeks of the episode.
New FOX photos also reveal New Directions in a pool dressed in jaunty retro swimming suits (The girls’ orchids are a nice touch!) During the scene, Rachel (Lea Michele) and Santana (Naya Rivera) sing lead on Rihanna’s “We Found Love” as the kids dance a top the water.
The swimming scenes are a part of Sam’s (Chord Overstreet) quest to win back Mercedes’ (Amber Riley) heart. He joins the syncronized swim team, lead by Coach Roz Washington (Housewives of Atlanta’s Ne Ne Leakes!) See the photo of the two going to face to face in the photo gallery below.
Also check out the song spoilers. The kids re-create “Summer Nights” a tune from the beloved musical “Grease”. The number (as well as the swimming scenes) were shot a Venice High School were the Grease movie was shot. And, if you watch promos #2 and #3 carefully, you’ll catch a glimpse of Artie (Kevin McHale) getting his Jagger on as he leads the boys in “Moves Like Jagger/Jumpin’ Jack Flash”.
