Although not as pitch perfect as the pilot that aired last spring, I was not disappointed by the Season premiere of Glee that aired last night on FOX.
The musical numbers were sensational and the humor wry and witty. And I’m already invested in the plot. Will Glee make it to the nationals? Will Finn ditch his vapid cheerios girlfriend for Rachel? And does Will’s wife clear the air on her fake pregnancy?
After the jump, check out videos from last night’s show. Will, the Spanish teacher who has taken on Glee to bring it back to its former glory, shows the kids how it’s done on “Gold Digger”. The kids secretly rehearse “Push It” and then perform it (hilarious) at the school assembly instead of the lame disco Will made them prepare. The kids loved it! The teachers and parents not so much. Rachel’s breathtaking show closer, “Take A Bow” comes after a rejection by her crush, football player and glee clubber, Finn.
The look on Machiavellian cheer leader, Sue Sylvester (played by the peerless Jane Lynch) as she watches the kids perform “Push It”? Priceless.
