Gina Glocksen Gets Married with Jordin Sparks and Haley Scarnato as Bridesmaids

On New Year’s Eve, Season 6’s Gina Glocksen and her science-teacher fiance, Joe Ruzicka, were married at the chapel at Naper Settlement in Naperville, IL.

The wedding party for the late afternoon ceremony included fellow
season six “American Idol” contestant Haley Scarnato and winner Jordin
Sparks
.

Glocksen, 24, wore an ivory and silver strapless mermaid-style
Melissa Sweet dress purchased from Priscilla of Boston. She wore her
hair down, with her trademark red streak in it and accessorized with a
veil she borrowed from the niece of “Idol’s” piano player. Ruzicka’s
spiked hair also was colored with a red streak.

The eight bridesmaids wore strapless, champagne, knee-length
dresses, also from Priscilla of Boston, and carried small bouquets of
burgundy roses. Ruzicka, 32, and his groomsmen wore gray morning suits
with ascots.

The NVHS String Quartet performed the music at the ceremony. Jason
Mraz’s “I’m Yours” was the accompaniment as the bridal party walked
down the aisle, followed by “With or Without You” by U2 as Glocksen was
escorted by both her mother and father.

The reception took place at the Bolingbrook Golf Club.   300 guests dined on stuffed chicken, and chocolate cake for desert.

Jordin Sparks was set to sing a version
of the Beatles’ “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” from the movie Across the
Universe
for the couple’s first dance. And, Gina, Lee
Ann Womack’s “I Hope You’ll Dance” for Joe’s dance with his mother.

The couple are postponing a honeymoon until the summer.   Gina will be returning to Los Angeles to host another season of   American Idol Extra, while Joe will go back to teaching High School after the winter break.

Remember when Joe proposed to Gina on stage in Chicago during the Season 6 tour?   So romantic! Congratulations to Joe and Gina!
