Emmy Ballots – Who Would You Nominate?

The Emmy Organization have posted their ballots for nominations. This is the first step in the process to becoming an Emmy winner. The ballots must be returned by June 24th and the nominees will be announced on July 14th. I thought we could take a look at some of the American Idol submissions as a launching point.

The Finale was a 2-hour smorgasbord of very diverse performers translating into a multitude of looks. We worked as a team, creating looks for Ryan Seacrest and all of the AMERICAN IDOL contestants and celebrities on the series. The better part of the day was spent with talent rehearsals, hence a 2 hour pre-show styling frenzy & then live show quick changes.

The 2-hour season finale brought back familiar faces from Season 10’s Top 13 as well as many guest stars. The live show contained numerous performances from the Top 13 contestants along with some of the biggest names in the business. The makeup was done is 3 different locations throughout the venue and done by a team of 10 makeup artists. Over 50 people were taken care of by the makeup deparment on this LIVE Episode.

To make the 10th Anniversary truly special, AMERICAN IDOL made many changes reflected in this initial episode in “Milwaukee”: adding Jennifer Lopez & Steven Tyler, and creating an all new format and adding packages to revitalize the most massive national singing competition after a decade.

Note: This is the episode where Scotty auditioned and Steven has his famous duck quote.
