An 8.8 magnitude Earthquake hit chile last night. Idol, Elliott Yamin is in Vina Del Mar for a music festival, about 90 miles southwest of the epicenter, about 90 miles from Santiago, and is safe thank god. He’s been posting updates from his twitter account. An interview Elliott taped for NBC news is set to go live at around 8 am. I’ll be posting that right here shortly.
Elliott is a Type 1 diabetic, and he’s only packed enough insulin until Sunday. His blood sugar is really high right now, so that’s a worry for him. He says the airport is reduced to rubble, so he might be stuck there for awhile.
