As I reported this morning, Idol producers are traveling the country, filming the Idols in their hometowns and at work.
Today, David Cook was back in Blue Springs, MO with a film crew in tow.

David went to a Cheif’s game on Monday (they won). Today, Fox 4KC reports, the Season 7 winner was on Main Street in Blue springs shooting a promo to kick off the next season of American Idol. They also report that David will remain off the road until he finishes his second album, due in early 2011.
“I come home and all I really want to do is grab Quik Trip taquitos. (YUCK) My LA manager is looking at me like I’m crazy. (You eat those things?) I love those things, but I must say being out in LA I’ve come to appreciate Sushi too, so I’m trying real hard not to change, I’m trying real hard, ” David said.
He loves his fans but, “It’s always a little strange when you are walking somewhere and you catch somebody like sneaking a photo, but in truth, it’s all part of the gig.”
On Idol, David says, “As a music fan I’m certainly excited to see Stephen Tyler and JLo and I want to play on the show again so I can meet them, but I’m hopeful that the contestants’ stories will be what continues to sell the show.”
