Danny Gokey Moonlights: Performs Private Gig at the Northwestern Mutual Annual Conference

It’s a little unusual for an Idol to perform a private gig while on the American idol tour, but Danny Gokey did just that, as he performed for a crowd at the Northwestern Mutual Annual conference in Milwaukee WI yesterday (July 21)

According to Iheartdannygokey.com, a Danny Gokey fansite, he performed to a crowd of about 8, 000 attendees, singing “Stand By Me”, “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg”, “What Hurts the Most” and “P.Y.T”

The parents of Danny’s late wife Sophia were in attendance. They both work for the company–so there’s your connection. Danny’s charity, Sophia’s Heart Foundation, received a 10, 000 donation from Northwestern Mutual Life.

After the jump, check out a video of Danny performing “P.Y.T”.   Afterward, he tells the audience that he was courted by 3 record labels, and to expect news of a signing very soon…
