Dancing With The Stars – Season 19 – Week 7

DWTS : Season 19 photo dwts19.jpg

Tonight, the remaining celebrities compete on the seventh week of Dancing With the Stars and they better bring their ‘A’ game, because they have an individual dance, a team dance and on top of that, Len is back (and probably his usual grumpy self).

Let’s go… We are celebrating Halloween tonight and it begins with a Haunted House-themed performance that features appearances from the remaining celebrities and a special appearance from Len, who chimes “I’m Back!”.

We are welcomed to the ballroom by Tom and Erin, who is also back after a one week absence, and we get right into the first dance from Tommy.

Tommy (Quick Step)

Peta has a huge challenge trying to get Tommy to learn two dances, because he likes to take a lot of breaks and his previously mentioned having a hard time remembering the steps. For some reason, I expect him to be a disaster every single week and he always end up pulling it off. Not great, but certainly not bad. Len starts by saying there’s a charm about him that he loves, Julianne says he “did it again”, Bruno says he still has plenty of tricks of his sleeve and Carrie Ann says it was one of his best routines so far.

Carrie Ann-7, Len-7, Julianne-7, Bruno-7 = 28/40

Lea (Argentine Tango)

Artem has a hard time dealing with the judges’ criticism and Lea is really emotional, because she doesn’t think she is doing a good job with the choreography. She hits most of the movements, but it is lacking something for me. Dare I say it, but I was a bit bored. Julianne says they need to have more fun and trust themselves, Bruno says it had “just the right touch of evil” and Len says it lacked a bit of chemistry.

Carrie Ann-8, Len-8, Julianne-9, Bruno-9 = 34/40
To Vote For Lea:

8 Vote Limit Per Method /Per ABC.COM / Facebook Account.

Bethany (Paso Doble)

Derek feels like there was a breakthrough last week and wants to take that even further this week, but the pressure is causing her to lose focus. Can we just take a moment and give Derek a round of applause? The guy is just on a completely different level than the other pros. Bruno thought they embodied flames of passion, Carrie Ann calls her “fascinating”, Len thought the dance got lost in the production and Julianne agrees with Len but thought she still shined.

Carrie Ann-10, Len-9, Julianne-10, Bruno-10 = 39/40
To Vote For Bethany:

8 Vote Limit Per Method /Per ABC.COM / Facebook Account.

Antonio (Viennese Waltz)

They were at the bottom of last week’s leader board and Cheryl wants to change that, while Antonio wants to impress Len. I’m really confused by Antonio. He seems to have entire package and should be a much better dancer than he is actually is. Everything about the dance is just so mediocre. Carrie Ann sees the growth, but feels uncomfortable watching him dance. Len thought it was okay, Julianne wanted more content and thought the performance was off.

Carrie Ann-6, Len-7, Julianne-7, Bruno-7 = 27/40
To Vote For Antonio:
Call 800-868-3402, or Use ABC.COM and/or Facebook.
8 Vote Limit Per Method /Per ABC.COM / Facebook Account.

Michael (Jive)

Michael is having a hard time with steps and the frustration brings Emma to tears. I have nothing positive to say about this dance, so I’ll just say I think it is time for Michael and this competition to part ways. Len says he is surprised that he made it to week seven, Julianne says it was a “nightmare”, Bruno says there wasn’t any Jive content and Carrie says it was a great Freestyle but it was suppose to be a Jive.

Carrie Ann-5, Len-5, Julianne-5, Bruno-5 = 20/40
To Vote For Michael:
Call 800-868-3409, or Use ABC.COM and/or Facebook.
8 Vote Limit Per Method /Per ABC.COM / Facebook Account.

Janel (Viennese Waltz)

Janel is really excited about killing Val in her routine to the theme from her show, ‘Pretty Little Liars’. Maybe a little too excited! Now, this is an example of a theme and the choreography coming together. Julianne says it wasn’t a proper Viennese Waltz (Len agrees), Bruno says she needs to finish the movements and Carrie Ann disagrees and says she had great fluidity.

Carrie Ann-8, Len-7, Julianne-8, Bruno-8 = 31/40
To Vote For Janel:
Call 800-868-3405, or Use ABC.COM and/or Facebook.
8 Vote Limit Per Method /Per ABC.COM / Facebook Account.

Alfonso (Rumba)

They returned to the top of the leader board last week, but they are both dealing with injuries this week and that makes rehearsals more challenging. They got pretty screwed with the music, which is a little too fast paced for a Rumba in my opinion. That said, he still shines and hit all of the moves. Good job! Bruno calls it “beautiful”, Carrie Ann was impressed and says magic is happening, and Len takes not so subtle shot at Val and says it was a proper Rumba.

Carrie Ann-9, Len-9, Julianne-9, Bruno-9 = 36/40
To Vote For Alfonso:
Call 800-868-3401, or Use ABC.COM and/or Facebook.
8 Vote Limit Per Method /Per ABC.COM / Facebook Account.

Sadie (Paso Doble)

Instead of one camera, there are about fifteen cameras on them this week because she has resumed filming for ‘Duck Dynasty’. Mark is really feeling the pressure with the steps and obviously, the added cameras aren’t helping. The idea is concept of this dance is good, but Sadie doesn’t have enough attitude to really sell it. Carrie Ann said the fear overtook her, Len says the theme got in the way of the dance, and Julianne slightly disagrees with Len and says at least there was content.

Carrie Ann-7, Len-7, Julianne-8, Bruno-8 = 30/40
To Vote For Sadie:
Call 800-868-3411, or Use ABC.COM and/or Facebook.
8 Vote Limit Per Method /Per ABC.COM / Facebook Account.

Individual dances are over and now it’s time for the team dances. Bethany and Alfonso are the team captains, and Bethany wins the the coin toss to pick first.

Team Itsy Bitsy

The team consists of Bethany, Lea, Janel and Michael. They are are smart enough to put Michael in the back, so he doesn’t distract from the people that can actually dance. It’s a really fun routine and Michael doesn’t look bad. He is actually pretty in sync with the rest of the crew. Len thought it was a great routine, Julianne calls the girls “queens of the night”, Bruno says they killed it and Carrie Ann says Michael didn’t make anybody look bad. Is that suppose to be a compliment?

Carrie Ann-9, Len-9, Julianne-9, Bruno-9 = 36/40

All members of Team Itsy Bitsy ARE SAFE!!! Even Michael!!!

Team Creepy

The team consists of Alfonso, Sadie, Antonio and Tommy. They want to dethrone Derek and his streak of never losing a team dance, and if they can get Tommy on board they just might be able to do it. I doubt it, but maybe. I was right, because this routine is all over the place and doesn’t come off as effortless as the first group dance. Julianne says individually they were great, but out of sync as a group. Bruno agrees, Carrie Ann thought it was a unique performance and Len says it was fun.

Carrie Ann-8, Len-8, Julianne-8, Bruno-8 = 32/40

Now, its time for results. ALFONSO AND WITNEY ARE SAFE!!! SADIE AND MARK ARE SAFE!!! TOMMY AND PETA ARE SAFE!!! ANTONIO AND CHERYL ARE ELIMINATED!!!

JUDGES’ LEADER BOARD

Alfonso – 68/80
Janel – 67/80
Sadie – 62/80
Tommy – 60/80
