Hey guys!!! Amanda (Celebrity Bug) is back in action and here to recap another exciting week of Dancing With the Stars. Last week, the contestants danced to Party Hits and Drew Carey correctly predicted his exit from the show before the host uttered a single word.
Tonight, the contestants will turn up the heat for Latin Night and take on two dances, which is sure to be an extreme challenge for those that can barely make it successfully through a single routine. Ricky Martin, tonight’s guest judge, kicks the show off with a performance of his 2014 World Cup anthem, “Vida”.

Tom and Erin welcome us to the show, and the remaining seven couples are introduced. Despite breaking her rib, Danica and Val have chosen to push forward and remain in the competition. Now, some results.

Amy & Derek (RUMBA)
Amy is really feeling the pressure from her schedule and the toll it is taking on her relationship. Not surprising these feelings are coming up now, given Rumba is the dance of love. Her dancing is just flat out good. Not good for someone with prosthetic legs. Just flat out good.
Len loved the content and calls it “first class”, Bruno loved the mix of sexuality and class, Carrie Ann warns her about her feet coming off the ground, and Ricky said the dance made him feel a lot of things (about Derek, right?).

They continue to flirt like crazy and joke about bringing good clean family fun to ABC. The dancing is extremely sexy, but bringing sex appeal isn’t hard for these two. The choreography is insanely creative and although the movements could be a bit sharper from James, I’m in love.
Bruno calls it filthy and dirty. Bottom line, he loved it (so did I). Carrie Ann says their chemistry is sick (in a good way), Ricky thought it was full of surprises and Len dampens the mood by critiquing his technique. He’s right, but who cares.

They want to challenge Meryl and Maks, who are doing the same dance and are widely presumed as the frontrunners. She hears her rib crack as they attempt a lift in practice and a subsequent visit to the doctor confirms it is fractured. She is not moving as fearlessly as she was before, but she is doing a good job until she loses the timing a bit.
Carrie Ann thought the injury restricted her a bit, Ricky thinks they have great chemistry, Len thought it was too careful and seemed more like a pop video, and Bruno echoed the thoughts of his fellow judges.

Apparently, Amy injured her back during her dance earlier tonight and is being attended to. Candace & Mark are SAFE, Charlie & Sharna are IN JEOPARDY, Meryl & Maks are SAFE, and NeNe & Tony are IN JEOPARDY.

NeNe feels the pressure, because everyone that it left has tons of dance experience. I’m am sick of saying how small and restricted her movements are, but that is her biggest problem and Tony deciding to add the other dances in only highlighted this flaw.
Ricky thought she was floating on stage, Len think she needs to work on her technique, Bruno thought it needed to be sharper and Carrie Ann said the opening walk was a ten, but that it lacked in other areas.

Amy is headed to hospital and unable to dance the team dance. Due to her injury, the rehearsal footage from the group’s earlier practice will be played and the judges will judge that instead.
Charlie & Sharna (PASO DOBLE)
Charlie is really fighting to get a perfect score on this dance, but he needs to show his aggressive side for the dance and that is not one of his strongest traits. He’s good, but this is not worthy of a perfect score. His star is dimming in the presence of Meryl and I really think her performance on the show is taking a toll on him.
Len said to get a ten you have to do something special and this wasn’t special (I agree). Bruno says he went wrong a couple times, Carrie Ann says it needed to be sharper and Ricky says he was living in the moment and thought it was beautiful.

Candace & Mark (ARGENTINE TANGO)
Candace is dealing with pressures of nerves and her performances in rehearsals are not transitioning to the live shows. She goes to see a therapist (Rolls Both Eyes), and feels like she is letting Mark down. Maybe I shouldn’t have rolled my eyes, because this is one of her best dances. Clean, sharp and precise.
Bruno thought it was great, Carrie Ann thought her confidence was back, Ricky thought her lines were amazing and Len thought it was hot and right on it.

Meryl & Maks (SALSA)
Maks is trying to bring the dirty side out of Meryl. They beat each other up a bit in rehearsals, but I don’t think it will affect their dancing. Meryl is a complete and utter star, and the dance highlights just how good she is. The level of difficulty is insane. WOW!
Carrie Ann says she continues to surprise her, Ricky says they get better and better, Len thought the used the other dancers too much (Please have a stadium full of seats), and Bruno said she held her own against the six pros.

Why can’t NeNe dance solo like she dances in a group? Tony, I’m looking at you again. She still struggles in her solo parts, but she is far better in the group portion and actually comes off as the featured dancer. Not sure that is such a good idea considering she is the worst of the three. It’s about playing to your strengths, not your weaknesses. James and Charlie are both great here, despite being a bit out of sync during their entrance. All in all, good dance.
Ricky asks them to go on tour, Len thought they coped well with two dances, Bruno said it was “incredible fun”, and Carrie Ann says they were out of sync, but the energy was great.

Due to Amy’s injury, the footage from the rehearsal will be judged instead. Unlike the first dance, which featured one dancer, everyone gets a fair shot her. Yet in the presence of Meryl and Amy (who was amazing here), Danica and Candace fade into the background. Still, this was incredible.
Carrie Ann said it was so tight and together, Ricky was curious at how long it took them to put it together, Len thought it was fantastic, and Bruno thought it was worth a repeat performance.
