THIS is why the BBC sued the producers of Ballroom with a Twist. An OFFICIAL Dancing with the Stars tour was about to kick off. Brand confusion, and worse yet, the unofficial tour siphoning off ticket sales from the real deal, had to be stopped. Ballroom with a Twist has been touring for a few years now. I’m surprised that BBC hasn’t moved to shut them down earlier.
In any case, only pro dancers Mark Ballas and Witney Carson have been announced for the tour so far. Stay tuned for further announcements! DWTS Live kicks off on December 27 in Niagara Falls NY, and winds up in Los Angeles on February 15. Tickets are on sale NOW.

Los Angeles, CA (November 4, 2014) – Starting this December, Dancing with the Stars, ABC’s leading entertainment show, produced by BBC Worldwide Productions, is bringing a one-of-a-kind touring production throughout North America. The official 90-minute live show, DANCING WITH THE STARS: LIVE!, produced by Faculty Productions in association with BBC Worldwide, kicks off Saturday, December 27, 2014 in Niagara Falls, NY at the Seneca Events Center and will run through February 15, 2015 showcasing some of the faces from the show you know and love. The confirmed list of tour dates can be found below, with additional shows to be announced shortly.
The all-new DANCING WITH THE STARS: LIVE! Tour will feature a cast of the television show’s most popular competitors, treating audiences to exciting and romantic performances. Dancing with the Stars dancers will choreograph brand new never-before-seen numbers and re-create some of the show’s most memorable moments. As announced during Monday’s broadcast, Mark Ballas and Witney Carson are the first two dancers revealed to be on the tour. Further announcements will be made throughout the season.
