Season 6’s Chris Sligh and Season 5’s Mandisa were both nominated for Dove awards Friday. The Dove awards recognizes artists in the world of Christian and Gospel music.
Chris Sligh’s single “Empty Me” was nominated for Song of the Year. Chris also has a nod for New Artist of the year.
Mandisa has a nomination in the Female Vocalist of the Year category.
The 40th Annual GMA Dove Awards will take place Thursday, April 23, broadcast on the Gospel Music Channel at 8 pm.
