Smash Death Watch: Smash is up a tenth from last week, but it’s not enough to stop the musical drama from becoming “bear chow”. The show loses ratings in its second half hour, which can’t be good.

Smash star, Megan Hilty is getting ready to release an album on March 12, titled It Happens All The Time. The first single from the record, “No Cure” is out and has a lyric video staring Megan.

Plus, Jeremy Jordan, who plays troubled songwriter, Jimmy Collins, on Smash and Jonathan Groff, whom you might remember as the cocky lead singer of New Adrenaline on Glee, join forces for a hilarious duet of “Let Me Be Your Star.”

American Idol falls. Although NCIS beat it in the first hour, it still wins the night. Smash hits a series low. Idol airing outside of its usual schedule likely contributed to its fall. Smash is DOA. Enjoy it while you can.

Tuesday Ratings: Smash Stays at Series Low

Smash continues to garner low ratings. The numbers this week were flat with last week’s series low. I don’t think NBC will yank the show off the schedule though. The season’s filming is nearly complete, I have a feeling it will stay on the schedule through the end of the season. But a season 3? Doubtful.

Enjoy Smash while you can, because it fell once again this week, to a series low–dipping under a 1.0 rating. I hope Katharine McPhee is getting her headshots and resume in order.
