The final numbers might be adjusted down due to the Monday night football which aired during the timeslot in a couple of markets, but Dancing With The Stars premiere ratings were solid.
The good news is that the X Factor Thursday premier ratings were up slightly from the night before. The bad news is that it was beat by a REPEAT of the Big Bang theory and Big Brother. At least Million Second Quiz didn’t overtake it (The Ryan Seacrest show is fading).
Ouch. The X Factor premiere HIT A NEW SERIES LOW LAST NIGHT. It’s a far cry from Simon’s 20 million prediction when he launched the series two years ago. Big Brother won the timeslot.
Last night’s ratings are scrambled, due to President Obama’s Speech cutting into the 9 pm hour, but it looks like both the Ryan Seacrest hosted Million Second Quiz AND America’s Got Talent beat the SYTYCD finale ratings.
The racism controversy is not hurting Big Brother. On the contrary. The ratings rose in double digits compared to last week. America’s Got Talent also fared well compared to the previous week.
The presence of Paula Abdul (who was coherent and knowledgeable) didn’t help raise the SYTYCD ratings. They stayed even with last week. America’s Got Talent rose a little from last week’s season low.
