Billboard – 06/04/11

A few weeks ago, there were dire predictions that Scotty and Lauren would be rejected outright by Country radio. That may still happen, but they were given at least courtesy spins yesterday. Mediabase detected 281 spins for “I Love You This Big” across 101 stations. Seven of those stations spun the song frequently enough to be called Starters (i.e. 7 or more spins yesterday). Lauren received 115 spins across 51 stations and has received her first official add (WUSY-FM – Chattanooga). It is unlikely they will keep up that rate of increase, but it was a nice start.

In other news, Billboard is predicting that Gaga will sell over a million copies of her new CD.
