Meghan Trainor surprises Lauren Alaina at her onesie party – ABC RadioMeghan Trainor surprised Lauren Alaina by flying in for her very first #1 party Wednesday afternoon in Nashville. Pillow Talking’s Interview with American Idol’s NICK FRADIANI – What were some of the differences, if you can tell us, between America’s Got Talent and Idol? NF: They are totally different shows. Actually one of the producers on Idol was the same as on America’s Got Talent. I was talking to her when I got kind of far and I was like, “How did you guys cut us? That was so bizarre. I don’t get it.” And she was like, “It’s not always about the most talented musician.” It’s not a music show and that’s the best way to put it. They are looking for what they think will be the most entertaining. Idol was definitely and totally focused on the music. I remember on AGT we were there for one week – I think it was called “Judgment Week” or “Hollywood Week” and I don’t think we got to perform one time. We got to rehearse in like a second. On Idol they have you rehearse a thousand times during the week to make sure you’re prepared. I remember when I finished AGT I was like, “I’m not doing these talent shows anymore.” – Read more at SomedayProds.com
‘Idol’ winner Nick Fradiani, playing free show in Bethlehem: ‘I love pop music with catchy hooks’ – Now 31, Fradiani was almost too old to compete on “Idol.” At the time, he was under the age limit of 29 by just a few months. His victory over the odds-on favorite and eventual runner-up Clark Beckham was a surprise, even to Fradiani, who says, “I thought I would come in third or fourth. When I began I wasn’t nervous at all. But for a few weeks I didn’t perform well. I looked insecure. Some of the show’s people told me to look at the camera and to think how the viewer at home sees things. I got into my head too much.” – Read more at McCall.com
