Season 14 winner and Team Kelly Clarkson member Brynn Cartelli returned to The Voice Tuesday night (April 23) to perform her new single, “Grow Young.”
The singer posted her thoughts on the song to social media, “I had to admit something to myself when I wrote this song,” she said, “This is an imperfect, raw version of a story I’ve been wanting to share for a while; a sneak peek of the bigger project. This is for all who have wished they could go back in time.”
Brynn performed the wistful ballad, about growing up too fast, accompanying herself on piano. “I wish we could go back/have fun/and grow young,” she sings. “My youth was short but it can’t be done/I don’t see the rush of growing old.”
