Tonight is Double Eviction night in the Big Brother house. Read a live recap here.

Tiffany is the Head of Household, and she nominated Alyssa and Xavier for eviction. Her target was Alyssa, but Alyssa foiled her plans when she won the Power of Veto. Due to Tiffany’s loyalty to the Cookout alliance, Tiffany was forced to nominate her close friend Claire as the replacement nominee. Claire and Xavier sit on the block together, and one of them will be walking out the door tonight. However, another Houseguest will walk out the door too – it’s Double Eviction night! Which two Houseguests will be leaving tonight? Let’s find out!

After the Veto Meeting, Alyssa says she’s shocked Tiffany is confident enough to put Claire on the block next to Xavier. Alyssa is clueless as she believes Tiffany’s plan is to send Xavier out. Tiffany is actually staying loyal to the Cookout. Tiffany admits in the Diary Room that the mission of the Cookout comes before her friendship with Claire. Meanwhile, Xavier, Azah, and Derek F. talk targets for the upcoming week. Azah wants Kyland to be the first Cookout member gone, but Xavier and Derek F. want Tiffany gone. Xavier even wants Tiffany gone before Alyssa.

Hannah wants to throw a sympathy vote for Claire. She thinks this will be good jury management too. However, she also has a strategic reason for throwing a sole vote against Xavier. She wants to blame her vote on Kyland so Alyssa could possibly target Kyland if Alyssa were to win the next Head of Household competition.

Julie announces to the Houseguests that it’s Double Eviction night. It’s also time for the eviction. Xavier and Claire can each give their final pleas. Xavier gives a shout-out to his loved ones back home. He tells the Houseguests that it benefits their games to keep him in the house. Claire also gives a shout-out to her loved ones back home. Claire tells the Houseguests that Xavier will be $750,000 richer in three weeks. Afterwards, it’s time for the vote.

Alyssa votes to evict Claire.

Hannah votes to evict Xavier.

Derek F. votes to evict Claire.

Azah votes to evict Claire.

Kyland votes to evict Claire.

By a vote of 4 – 1, Claire has been evicted from the Big Brother house.

Claire sits down for her interview with Julie. Julie asks her reaction on getting evicted with Tiffany as HoH. Claire is understanding of Tiffany’s reasons. She is aware how POC have been targeted early in past seasons of the game, and she doesn’t blame Tiffany for not wanting to play a part in having a Black Houseguest evicted. Julie asks Claire about her eviction speech. Claire says she wants people to watch out for Xavier. She thinks he is playing the best game and has set himself nicely with lots of protection. Julie asks her for her final thoughts. Claire says there have been so many highs and so many lows, but she loves the game. She has no regrets; she just wishes she made it further.

It’s time for the Head of Household competition. It’s a memory competition and they will receive a point for each correct answer. The Houseguest with the most correct answers after seven questions will win.

Question 1: Everyone gets a point except for Derek F.

Question 2: Everyone gets a point except for Azah.

Question 3: Kyland, Derek F., Xavier, and Hannah each get a point.

Question 4: Hannah and Derek F. get a point.

Question 5: Azah and Kyland get a point.

Question 6: Hannah and Alyssa get a point.

Question 7: Everyone is right except Xavier.

Hannah wins HoH!

Hannah says it’s not a personal decision. She nominates Xavier and Alyssa for eviction. She calls them a strong duo and says Claire is right that Xavier is a threat.

It’s time for the Veto competition. They must race to complete a puzzle. They can only assemble the pieces when they run to the end of their lane. The first person to complete the puzzle will win the Power of Veto. The competition lasts barely a minute by the time Xavier completes the puzzle first. Xavier wins the Power of Veto.

Xavier uses the Power of Veto on himself. Hannah names Kyland as the replacement nominee.

It’s time for the second eviction vote of the night. Kyland and Alyssa each get to give one final plea. Kyland says he’ll respect their decision and he loves them all. Alyssa says she won’t be a jury threat if she makes it to the end. Afterwards, it’s time for the vote.

Azah votes to evict Alyssa.

Tiffany votes to evict Alyssa.

Xavier votes to evict Kyland.

Derek F. votes to evict Alyssa.

By a vote of 3 – 1, Alyssa has been evicted from the Big Brother house.

Alyssa sits down with Julie outside the house. Julie asks for her reaction. Alyssa says she is not shocked. She says the plan was to split her and Xavier up, so she figured she’d be evicted since Xavier won the Power of Veto. Julie asks if she feels betrayed by anyone, and Alyssa says she feels betrayed by Hannah. Julie asks her about her alliance with Xavier. Alyssa says Xavier was the only person she trusted, but she would only have taken him to the Final 3. She didn’t plan to go to the Final 2 with Xavier since he would win against her. Julie asks for her final thoughts, and she says she’s proud of herself and being on the show is enough of a win for her.

And that wraps up tonight’s episode of Big Brother 23. Thanks for reading, and come back next week for a 2-hour Double Eviction episode.
