Big Brother 19 Eviction Results Week 4 Recap and Live Blog

A live eviction episode of Big Brother 19 airs tonight on CBS. Read a live recap and join the discussion here.

Jessica is the HoH, and she nominated Josh and Ramses for eviction. Josh is her target, but Paul and his allies want to evict Ramses instead. What will be the fallout of this blindside, and who will win HoH? Let’s find out!

The episode begins after the Veto meeting. Jessica considered using the Power of Veto to pull Ramses off the block, but ultimately chose to leave nominations the same. She is hoping to build trust with the house by not naming another nominee. However, there’s a plan to vote out Ramses instead of Josh. Paul, Kevin, Matt, Raven, Alex, Jason, and Christmas are all planning to evict Ramses. The only people unaware of this plan are Jessica, Cody, Ramses, Mark, and Elena.

Josh is acting sad to not give away the plan, but he’s gloating in the Diary Room. He’s confident that he will be staying in the house. Meanwhile, Jessica confirms votes with Mark. He’s 100% on board with evicting Josh. Paul notices how close Mark and Elena have gotten to Jessica and Cody, which bothers him. This is also why he’s refusing to let Mark and Elena know about the plan to evict Ramses instead of Josh.

Mark talks to Cody about working with him and Jessica in the game. Mark is sincere about this, but Cody says in the Diary Room that he still doesn’t trust Mark due to Mark turning his back on him in earlier weeks. Later, Paul talks to Mark about his relationship with Cody. He says there’s a clean slate with him before saying there’s another pair in the house he doesn’t like. He says they are too neutral, and Paul assumes he’s talking about Matt and Raven. Later, Paul approaches Matt and Raven, and he tells them that Mark is gunning for them. Matt and Raven are very bothered by this, and they now want Mark to be the next target.

Jessica and Kevin talk game in the backyard. Jessica reveals to Kevin that she did win the third temptation. She also says that the temptation will keep her and Cody safe. In the Diary Room, Jessica says she and Cody do trust Kevin, and Kevin also says in the Diary Room that he wants to look out for Jessica. Later, Kevin reveals to Jessica that there is a plan to blindside Ramses. He tells her the reason he told her this is because they’re both from the Northeast and they’re pals. Jessica is now frustrated that she did not go with her gut and use the Power of Veto on Ramses. Jessica informs Cody about this, and she’s unhappy that her plan to evict Josh won’t likely happen. She refuses to give up, and she and Cody go to work on campaigning for votes.

It’s time for the live vote and eviction. Ramses and Josh both give their last pleas to their fellow Houseguests. Ramses says he doesn’t want his time in the house to end and he feels he can help a lot of them in future weeks. Josh gives a shout-out to his family, and he promises loyalty to the people he gave his word to. Afterwards, it’s time to vote.

Cody votes to evict Josh.

Jason votes to evict Ramses.

Alex votes to evict Ramses.

Mark votes to evict Josh.

Elena votes to evict Josh.

Kevin votes to evict Ramses.

Matt votes to evict Ramses.

Raven votes to evict Ramses.

Christmas votes to evict Ramses.

Paul votes to evict Ramses.

By a vote of 7 – 3, Ramses is evicted from the Big Brother house. Ramses walks out the front door as Josh is pretending to be shocked. In his interview with Julie, Ramses says he saw it coming. He says Paul is running the show. He tried to campaign for votes, but it wasn’t enough to sway anyone. Julie points out how he was friends with everyone, but he had no solid alliances. Ramses felt neither side of the house was on his side. He is also a superfan, and he admits the game was more difficult than he anticipated.

It’s now time for the HoH competition. It’s a question and answer challenge, and the Houseguests must answer either true or false. Last night, they were shown images they had to memorize, and the questions will be based on said images.

Question 1: Elena is eliminated.

Question 2: Mark, Alex, Cody, Josh, and Kevin are eliminated.

Question 3: Everyone remaining gets it right.

Question 4: Everyone remaining gets it right.

Question 5: Christmas and Jason are eliminated.

Question 6: Matt and Raven are eliminated.

Paul wins HoH.

Before the episode ends, Julie talks to the Houseguests. Paul is happy to be HoH, and Josh is also happy to have survived eviction. When Julie asks Jessica her thoughts, she says she’s just glad America voted for her to receive the third temptation that gives her the power to keep her and Cody safe “for a few weeks.” Afterwards, the chat with the Houseguest ends and Julie turns back to the audience. Julie reveals the consequence of Jessica accepting the Halting Hex: The Temptation Competition. Instead of America voting Houseguests to be tempted, the Houseguests may volunteer to compete in the Temptation Competition. The Houseguest that wins will be safe for the week. The Houseguest that loses will automatically go on the block as a third nominee.

And that wraps up tonight’s episode of Big Brother 19. Thanks for reading, post your thoughts in the comment section below, and come back next week for another live recap.
