Big Brother 19 Eviction Results Week 1 Recap and Live Blog

Tonight is the first live eviction episode of Big Brother 19. Read a live recap and join the discussion here.

Cody is the HoH, and he nominated Megan and Jillian for eviction. After Megan withdrew from the game, Cody chose Alex as the replacement nominee. Alex was the target, but she saved herself with the Power of Veto. Cody assembled an alliance that included him, Jessica, Mark, Matt, Elena, Raven, Dominique, Christmas, and Paul. His supposed allies assumed Jason would have been the replacement nominee. However, Cody decided to switch things up. Without telling anyone, he tried to backdoor Paul. Unfortunately, Paul was given the Pendant of Protection, making him ineligible for nomination for the first three evictions. Therefore, Cody decided to name Christmas as the replacement nominee. Christmas and Jillian sit on the block, and one of them will be evicted tonight. Who will it be? Let’s find out!

After the Veto Ceremony, Cody’s allies are angry with Cody’s move, especially Christmas and Paul. Christmas confronts Cody about the move in the HoH room, and she calls Cody a liar. Cody said he wanted Paul gone, but he had to make a different move after Paul was safe. Meanwhile, Paul is ranting to Jessica and Dominique downstairs. Jessica is bothered by Paul lying about getting the temptation. Paul says the temptation was Plan B, and he now has to play a different game. In addition, all of Cody’s allies except for Jessica and Mark feel like they cannot trust Cody moving forward.

Elena, Mark, Jessica, Raven, and Matt talk about what to do next. Mark and Jessica think they should follow through with Cody’s move and vote out Christmas. However, Elena, Raven, and Matt are refusing to vote out Christmas.

Later on, Christmas injures her foot. Jason was giving her a piggyback ride, and he slipped and fell. This results in a broken foot for Christmas. She’s worried this injury will force her out of the game. Meanwhile, Paul is campaigning for Christmas to stay, but Mark still wants to stay loyal to Cody. Alex, Jason, and Kevin don’t want to keep Christmas either.

Mark originally wanted Christmas to be evicted, but he has a change of heart after talking to Christmas the next day. He and Christmas have a tearful heart-to-heart conversation, and Mark now wants Christmas to stay. He wanted to stay loyal to Cody, but he is jumping ship.

It’s time for the live vote. Christmas and Jillian both plead their case. Christmas says she is here to play, and she calls out Cody and Jessica as backstabbers. Jillian says it’s been hard for her, but she hopes to stay. Afterwards, the voting begins.

Jessica votes to evict Christmas.

Jason votes to evict Christmas.

Kevin votes to evict Jillian.

Matt votes to evict Jillian.

Raven votes to evict Jillian.

Paul votes to evict Jillian.

Ramses votes to evict Christmas.

Dominique votes to evict Jillian.

Alex votes to evict Christmas.

Elena votes to evict Jillian.

Mark votes to evict Jillian.

Josh votes to evict Jillian.

By a vote of 8 – 4, Jillian is evicted from the Big Brother house.

Jillian is shocked, and she explains to Julie she expected the vote to be 6 – 6 with Cody breaking the tie in her favor. She suspects Paul got too involved in the campaigning and swayed two people to keep Christmas instead of her.

It’s time for the HoH competition. It’s a Candy Crush themed competition that will require them to search for tickets inside candies. Once they have enough tickets, they can exchange them for balls to roll into a target. The first to land a ball in the slot will win HoH.

And that wraps up tonight’s episode of Big Brother 19. Thanks for reading, post your thoughts in the comment section below, and come back next time for another live recap.
