Serena Williams Wins Gold, US Flag Flies Off its Pole (VIDEO)

Serena Williams won her golden slam this afternoon by beating Maria Sharapova 6-0, 6-1 in the Olympic women’ singles tennis final.

To cap off the unusual day, as Serena was standing atop the podium while the Star Spangled Banner was played, a wind gust blew the American flag off of its pole to rest in front of the Royal box.
