America’s Got Talent–it just goes on and on and on and on…

The audition rounds were endless. And now, this middle round–I guess you could call it the Top 48 + took 6 weeks to slog through. The semi-final round begins, mercifully, next week. And hey, if we’re lucky, it’ll all be over by Christmas?

Anyhoo. Tonight’s show was a wildcard round, with Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel bringing back acts that didn’t make it through initially.

And, since we mostly didn’t want to see them the first time around, the second time is certainly not the charm, with a couple of exceptions:

Videos After the JUMP…

The aerialists,   Michael Lipari and Ashleigh Dejon put on a truly breathtaking show.  The comedian Doogie Horner was so beyond stupid, he was actually funny and the magician, Michael Grasso, who should have gone through the first time, was entertaining.

The ballroom dancing pair, Anna and Patryk were very good, but I don’t like the kiddie acts on principal–two 12 year olds should be out playing or something–not endlessly practicing ballroom moves.

The rest were too boring to even snark on, really.  I couldn’t bring myself to mock horrible kid rapper, CJ Dippa.  He choked and knew it.  Do we really need a live rendition of Gaga’s “Alejandro” played on the harmonica? No, we don’t.  Not really sure why they keep bringing back that kite kid, Connor Doron, except for his backstory. Really?  Kite flying? Zz. and the very last act–Swing Shift Side Show–was another one of those gross-out acts that I definitely could have done without.

  1. ther was only one act that deserved to be there last night and that was RNG the others did did not get the votes to stay in but RNG did .

but pierce and Howie wanted the 2 little boys instead even though FF sucked but were cute it cost RNG there chance to the finals

it looks like RNG is suffing the iraheta effect someone come in to a competition and are good as hell and threatens the judges favorites the judges will try too put down the act (in case in point allison dont speak performance SIMON:it felt like a little girl trying to be a rock star Howie: it was only good enough for a school Recital)

even thought both acts kick ass and everybody knows it

if you look them up on utube you will see thaY not been doing this long and are one of the best kids dance crew

so i hope RNG GETS IN THIS TIME

  2. BTW did you see the look on those girls faces it look like thay were going to jump off the stage and kick pierce and Howie buts for telling them that thay suck and should go home and come back when thay can dance

what was cool is that thay used Howie sound bite from last time thay were there and told them thay were only good enuff for a school play

  3. Have to disagree with you, mj, about Connor. What he does is flawless and amazing. He should have been in the live shows to begin with. Michael Grasso upped his game and should go on. Doogie has grown on me and has a promising comedic future. Overall, last night’s show was better than I expected it to be. The talent this year is much much better than last.

Doesn’t it, though? And the network likes it so much they show it over and over and over. That, and Bachelor Pad (ewwww).

I want those two hours of my life back.

Me too! I went to my Dad’s to watch with him and my sisters. The visit was nice, but that show was way too long. Why in the world did they put on that last act again? I took my glasses off so I wouldn’t see anything even by accident!

I should have stayed home and listened to the Adam concert.

  6. MJ the link to Michael Lipari & Ashleigh Dejon actually shows the Anna and Patryk clip.

Thanks for saving another 2 hrs of my life – so far not too much missed by skipping AGT and what I did miss I was able to see here much much faster. For those of us in Canada it’s the only way to catch up.
