Reigning American Idol winner Noah Thompson and runner-up HunterGirl appeared on the American Idol season 21 Top 20 show Sunday night (April 23) for a special performance of the never-before-heard duet version of Noah’s winners single “One Day Tonight.”

Also, Noah revealed to fans that his long awaited debut EP Middle of God Knows Where comes out June 9.

Written by Jared Griffin, Trannie Anderson and Brett Sheroky, produced by Jimmy Robbins, and originally released by Noah last year during his winning Idol season, the romantic song, “One Day Tonight” instantly propelled to No. 1 on iTunes All Genre and Country charts and is still racking up an over 1 million on-demand streams per week.

When he recorded it last year, Noah said in a press statement: “I fell in love with ‘One Day Tonight’ as soon as I heard it, just by the sound of the melody. The lyrics are beautiful, the song has so much meaning and it is also so catchy! Can’t believe I get to sing it, to be honest, it blows my mind. I hope so many people love it just like I did when I first heard it!”

HunterGirl’s sweet vocals addsanother layer of meaning and intimacy to the song. Most recently the two wrapped a successful co-headlining tour in 2022.

Noah Thompson announced Debut EP Middle of God Knows Where

Now, in tandem with his debut CMA Fest performance on Saturday, June 10 at 10:15 am/CT on the Chevy Vibes Stage, Noah will release his debut EP Middle Of God Knows Where on June 9. The debut album follows the release on his singles “Make You Rich,” and a cover of Rihanna’s “Stay.”

HunterGirl just released new music post-American Idol with “Lonely Outta You” and “Hometown Out Of Me.” Most recently opening for the award-winning Lainey Wilson at her sold-out Nashville show in March, the singer will be hitting the road on select dates with Luke Bryan, Parmalee, Josh Turner and Luke Combs for his pre-show tailgate stage.

Noah’s debut EP Middle Of God Knows Where will be available Friday, June 9, while HunterGirl is currently readying more new music to release very soon.
