Ha ha. If there weren’t men in this ad, I would have mistook this new American Idol XIII promo for a feminine hygiene commercial.
It’s shot in soft focus, with nature as the back drop to hopefuls dreamily holding cards that display inspirational thoughts such as “to be free,” “love & life,” “to empower,” “to inspire” and “to heal.”
The spot ends with the hopefuls flipping their personal platitudes to reveal their American Idol contestant number. It’s their ticket to ride off into a burnished sunset!
Now let’s all hold hands and sing kumbaya.
