American Idol alum Josh Gracin says goodbye letter was mistaken for a suicide note – Gracin says the note was in response to a fight he had with his now ex-wife. He believed she wanted to parent their four children without him and told him she wanted a divorce. He maintains he was saying goodbye to his family life. Still, he believes the letter, along with other circumstances from the time period, haunt him, continuing to stall his career. “I will admit that it was extremely poorly worded,” he said. “It absolutely looked like a suicide note. But if people knew the conversation I literally had five minutes before I wrote that, it was my last effort to give her a sense of reality.
