American Idol at AMAs: Vote NOW For Your Favorite Singer (VIDEO)

American Idol AMAs Voting

The American Idol reboot won’t happen until March 11, but fans can vote NOW for a singer to get another chance at a golden ticket.

On Sunday night’s (Nov 19) American Music Awards, videos from three American Idol hopefuls who just missed getting a golden ticket from the judges, aired for your votes.

The winner will be announced on tomorrow’s Dancing with the Stars finale. Who was your favorite singer? Check out all the performances here and vote at americanidol.com/vote. Voting ends at 2:00 p.m. ET on Monday 11/20/17. Limit one (1) vote per person.

Also let your voice be heard in our poll at the bottom of the page.

Make sure to watch the videos. THEY ARE FULL PERFORMANCES. Only short clips were aired during the ceremony.

Each of the judges, Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and Katy Perry introduce a singer.

Lionel introduces Dominique Smith, Age 21 from Brooklyn, New York She sings “Rolling in the Deep by Adele. Her vocal is solid, but I kept waiting for her to let loose.

Luke introduces Maris, age 18 from Missoula, Montana. She sings “Fool That I Am” by Etta James/Adele. Like Dominique before her, this performance felt tentative. It picked up a bit towards the end, but she couldn’t quite convey the song’s emotional lyrics. She’s only 18. She should try again in a few years.

And Katy’s singer is 28 year old Britney Holmes from Aubrey Texas. And she gets my vote. That she’s going to age out of Idol soon, is one consideration. Nevertheless, not only is her vocal impressive, but she’s got the emotional range to deliver the song.  In her late 20s, I suspect Brittany has been kicking around the music business for awhile. In any case, her rendition of “Let it Go” by James Bay is lovely.

Host Ryan Seacrest has the deets. The American Idol journey begins!
