Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young, got married at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel in Los Angeles Saturday afternoon. The 250 guests included fellow American Idol alums, Elliott Yamin, Michael Johns and Kevin Covais.

Diana’s brother, David was able to return from Afghanistan  to walk her down the aisle.  When she first saw her brother, Diana told E News, “”It took every ounce of strength I had not to burst into tears. When we turned the corner and I saw Ace at the alter it was beautiful.”

“I was crying before I even saw Diana walk around the corner,” said Ace.

“Today was the best day of my life,” Ace told People. “Diana and I are in it forever. She’s my best friend.”

Diana wore a form-fitting Sareh Nouri gown with pearls and rhinestones.  “It was the first dress she tried on,” said Renée Strauss, wedding organizer. “She knew immediately that it was the perfect dress for her.”

The wedding colors were purple and yellow. Six flower girls – all nieces of Diana  and Ace – walked down the aisle with baskets of flower petals. Each basket had a different word on it, spelling out a message to the groom: “Hey Ace. Here Comes Your Bride.”

The music writer, Fred Bronson officiated and the happy couple walked back down the aisle to Led Zepplin’s “All My Love,” after exchanging vows they wrote themselves.

Filet Mignon, chicken, salmon or pumpkin ravioli were one the menu at the reception. The two wedding cakes included a traditional vanilla and a banana chocolate chip.  The couple danced to a song they recorded for the ceremony, “I Do.”

“This was the best way to start the chapter of my life as Mrs. Young,” Diana told People. “I’m over the moon with joy and happiness about our wonderful wedding. I can’t wait to spend my life with my husband!”

Congrats Ace and Diana!
