Gina Glocksen, American Idol Season 6 alum, reveals exclusively to People that she and her husband, Joe Ruzicka, are expecting their first child. The couple was married on New Years Eve, 2008.
“It’s so exciting!” says the singer, who’s on tour with Ballroom With a Twist until mid-May 2014.
In addition to having a baby on the way, Glocksen’s mother, Nancy Glowacki, is successfully recuperating from double bypass surgery.
“My mom is so happy. I told her before she went in so she had good news to fall asleep to,” says Glocksen, 29, adding that her mom is now “doing awesome,” especially with a new grandchild on the way.
“We are not going to find out the baby’s sex. We feel it’s life’s ultimate surprise! I’ve always had a vision of the doctor in scrubs walking into the waiting room telling our family, ‘It’s a ________!’”
Gina’s due date is July 2, two days before her birthday. Congrats Gina and Joe!
