One of this week’s American Idol themes is the “Sia Songbook.” On hand to assist the singers as they prepared to perform songs the popstar has written and/or performed was Sia herself! She met with the Top 5 contestants–La’Porsha Renae, Trent Harmon, Sonika Vaid, MacKenzie Bourg and Dalton Rapattoni on Tuesday (3/22) to mentor as they prepared their song choices.
Trent Harmon tweeted a lyric from a Sia song “Cheap Thrills.” Could this be a song hint? Hmmm… It doesn’t seem to be a very Trent-like song. Maybe for somebody else. ETA: Correction. It’s the song SIA is performing on Thursday. Makes sense Trent would quote it, then.

The Top 5 will perform TWO songs on Thursday. E Street Band member, Steven Van Zandt met with the contestants on Friday (3/18) to work on their Classic Rock song choices.
