Many Idol wannabes have been out there, sometimea for years, attempting to get a singing career off the ground. See somebody you liked from last night’s American Idol 10 New York/New Jersey auditions? A quick search on You Tube often turns up some goodies.
Check out some pre-Idol music from: Caleb Hawley, Robbie Rosen and Yoji “Pop” Asani, after the jump.
Caleb Hawley (Audition) was featured recently by Gangreen29 in one of her Hollywood recaps. “Excellent guitar player, and certainly has the look that could attract a large following, ” is what she said about Caleb. But unfortunately guitar strumming white guys have an uphill battle to climb in order to compete with the teen singers the producers seem to favor this year.
Robbie Rosen (Audition) was wheelchair-bound at 5 years old. His sweet R&B vocals are on display in his covers of “Down”, “Billionaire” and “Ordinary People”. Robbie also auditioned for America’s Got Talent via You Tube. He plays piano too! Beautifully, I might add. He could go deep in this competition. Check out his You Tube Channel HERE.
And lastly, Just for fun, Yoji “Pop” Asano (Audition) performs “Dangerous” as a Michael Jackson impersonator. Yeah, that’s pretty much what he is…
