Alex Lambert – ‘I’ve Been Working’ – Live at the Dream Studio – VIDEO

Alex Lambert sings his original song, “I’ve Been Working” live at the Dream Studio.

Alex is pursuing a career in music as a castmate in Simon Fuller’s web project, If I Can Dream.  Does Justin Gaston look a little jellus, or am I just imagining that? Heh.

Alex should be in the house for Wednesday’s results show when housemate Justin sings Elvis Presley’s “If I Can Dream” with Season 7 Idol, Brooke White.

Looking forward to Brooke returning to Idol…

  1. I miss him on AI. He has a similar sound to Andrew Garcia..and he’s much more likable. Good Luck to him!

  2. A little medicine for the soul……..way to go Alex! Very nice indeed!

  3. Justin did look a little jellus to me. heh

Nice performance from Alex though. :)

  4. Alex sounds good and I like his song, yeah Justin really looks jealous or pissed. I wish Alex was singing with Brooke instead of Justin.

  5. He reminds me of a young Rob Thomas… I wish him the very best and hope he gets snatched up soon!

  6. nice lyric and wonderful voice – so cool for Alex :)
I didn’t think Justin looked jealous – why would he be? He is going to be on American Idol tomorrow – it doesn’t get much better than that as a gig.

  7. I am so happy that I can still hear him sing through here. There is something so special about his voice, that’s a great song too. I can’t wait to buy his album someday!

  8. LOL at Justin’s face. He knows how much better Alex is than him.

This song sounds really similar to how he played “Everybody Knows” on the show. I still like it though.

  9. Thanks so much for posting this video of Alex! It’s like getting to hear him along with the Tuesday Idol performances, but without any judges!

  10. Seriously why is Alex not on Idol anymore. His voice is better than any of the males left. Unbelievable.

  11. Thanks mj, for keeping us up to date on Alex. My computer won’t let me watch the in house feed, so you’re my only connection to him. I would have loved to have seen the songwriting session he had with Kevin Griffin the other day. I love the song he and David Cook came up with for David’s last CD, Avalanche. I think KG would be a good match for Alex’s cool vibe, and I’m just fascinated by the songwriting process. It would have been so cool to see, but I didn’t find out about it until it was over, so even if my computer’s browser was compatible, I still would have missed it. Still, I’m glad Alex is getting the experience of writing a song with someone else. What a perfect opportunity to learn and grow. I’ll definitely be keeping my eye out for him in the future. I believe he has lots of potential.
