Adam Lambert’s sophomore album isn’t due until the beginning of 2012, with the new single due to be released October(ish). But in the meantime, Adam teases his fans with a few song lyrics via twitter:
“I’m swingin off of my hinges, I’m cocked and I’m ready to go… “
“all along, I tried to pretend it didn’t matter if I was alone..”
“lost inside communication breakdown, better just read my lips. Comin’ in clearer when we get down. iceberg. Just the tip…”
In interviews, Adam has said the new album will delve into personal, intimate themes in contrast to his campy, fun, eclectic debut. These lyrics seem to reflect a more introspective side of Adam.
Unfortunately, we’re going to have to wait a little while longer to hear the new stuff. “There’s biz & technical stuff to sort…I’m workin as fast as I can, Adam tweets his fans, “… Thank you all for being so patient. As soon as I know more – u will.”
The Season 8 Idol alum will executive produce the new disc, and has been working with a series of collaborators, including, Pharrell Williams, Claude Kelly, Greg Wells, Sam Sparro and Ali Tamposi.
Fun fact: Sam Sparro co-wrote the third lyric with Adam “@adamlambert awwe. That’s our Jam! #brokenenglish, ” the “Black and Gold” songwriter tweeted.
