Adam Lambert Received City of Hope Award From Los Angeles Mayor

Adam Lambert was honored at the 3rd Annual LGBT Month opening ceremonies at City Hall Los Angeles, along with Rodney Scott and attorney Mia Yamamoto.

The American Idol season 8 alum was presented with the City of Hope award by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa at City Hall in Los Angeles last night.

The opening celebration included performances from The Voice alum, Katrina Parker, The Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, Vox Femina and more.

“Receiving Los Angeles’ City of Hope Award from Mayor @villaraigosa this evening,” Adam tweeted, “What an honor!”

Earlier this month, received the Davidson/Valentini Award from GLAAD at the organization’s San Francisco media awards, as a media professional who made a significant difference in promoting equality for the LGBT community.
