Adam Lambert Joins X Factor Australia Judges Panel

Adam Lambert X Factor Australia

Adam Lambert has been named as the third and final judge for X Factor Australia in 2016.

Adam, joins Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea and 2003 Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian.

“I am very excited to join X Factor in Australia and am looking forward to helping people shine their brightest,” Lambert said.

“Australia has always been one of my favourite places to tour. The Aussies I’ve met are so kind and good humored — so the thought of getting to live in Sydney is very exciting.”

Apparently, the show has gone through a massive shake up this year. Guy is the only judge to return, and the 4 member panel has been cut down to three. Also the live shows have been trimmed, and soon a brand new host will be announced.

“I’m not sure if we had the right panel last year, that we had the right chemistry,” Guy said.

“It just didn’t quite feel like it gelled so I think the change is good. It will be quite a different show … There will be a lot of changes, but the core of my job stays the same in that I’m there to mentor.”

Will you be watching Australian Idol, even with the time change? We’ve covered the show in past, and probably will again now that Adam has signed on.

No start date for the series has been announced. Last season, X Factor Australia debuted in September.
