Check it out! The Adam Lambert storm has begun peeps.

AOL just posted a promotional video featuring Adam Lambert’s “Time for Miracles” and lots and lots of explosions!   The song snip is longer, and the video sound quality much better than the Amazon snip, so be sure to check it out.

Adam talks about the song at the top of the clip, which leads into scenes from the movie. Shots of Adam recording the song in the studio are cut into the action. Adam gets a credit at the end of the trailer.

There’s no doubt now the producers are using the song to promote the movie. Nice for Adam.

“Time for Miracles” song clip HERE.

  1. This is better than the clip. This is awesome! Thank you producers for finally giving us something!!

  2. I can get more a of a feel for it from this than the 20 second clip and I think I’m going to like it quite a bit. His vocal sounds even more phenomenal.

  3. This is gorgeous!!! Gorgeous, gorgeous!!! The audio clip before was predominantly mellow whereas this video clip rocks! Adam kills is. I love it. We’ll be hearing that song EVERYWHERE I suspect. Yay for Adam!

  4. I can’t stop watching it. Has anyone EVER been this excited about a song before? I haven’t. You know it’s something when hwc is almost speechless!

    Oh my heck.

    lmao

can someone please have a YouTube of this??!!

  6. Okay, now I can pass more judgment – WOO HOO. I LOVE his voice on this. I think Christmas just came early this year

  7. Stop it! Stop it! It’s too much at once! Too much awesomeness! I haven’t even heard the snippet yet. Just when I was getting over the withdrawals…

Damn, I’m too hooked on this guy, what am I going to do when a whole SONG comes out????

    Oh my heck.</blockquote

    I KNOOOOOWWWWW, RIGHT????

  9. Oh my goodnes, that’s almost like hearing a totally different version of the same song. That song really rocks, I am loving it even more.

  10. Better than the amazon snippet (it doesn’t scream Idol Coronation song anymore). Adam singing is good as usual.

  11. I think I”m really going to like this. The video puts the song in better perspective than the short clip does. And Adam show’s his range more in this video clip. The song is what I expected for the most part, and it sounds really good.

Can’t wait to hear the whole song.

  12. Squeeee! Bloody squeee! Now I *know* I will love it. Did you hear the falsetto??? Oh, I love this man.

    *flailing*

    hwc: ohmyheck

    ROTLMAO

    His seal of approval!!!

  13. How is this happening? Is this real life?
And mandalay, I have NEVER been this excited about a few seconds of a clip. But OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank God I finished my last column for the week. I am useless now!

  14. Ok i don’t think i can sleep tonight…. It’s 6 AM right now….

ETA: I didn’t mean to post 2 separate posts. But my brain isn’t functioning properly at the moment.

  15. OMG–thank you thank you! This version made me cry! And I’m not the crying type. WOW!! This is gonna be fabulous. LOVE it.

And on a shallow note, doesn’t Adam look adorable in the studio??

  16. What will I do when the album comes out? HOW WILL I WORK THAT DAY?

    November 24th: Adam Day.

  17. I think this is not so good. So I don’t know that I ever would have, but hearing his explanation and then his singing just so over the top, well it doesn’t work for me. It just sounds like I’m doing this because they told me to. Maybe if he had said nothing…ok, probably not, but he’d have had a better chance. In the end, I find Adam Lambert to be an OTT singer who has nothing to do with anything current…Oh and my kids (both of them heartily lolled for a long time).

  18. That video has three, maybe four, snippets from the song cut and spliced together. The first part, then the bridge is spliced in, then something from the end. The very first part of the video might be the intro to the song.

This is going to be a 4 minute 43 second thrill ride of power ballad.

  19. GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY!

He’s doing his OWN BACKUP TRACK!!!!

Double Adam, and THIS IS ROCK WITH ELECTRONICA!

    Wow, just WOW

  20. Sounds good. I’d like to hear the whole song before I make my full judgement but it does sound very Bon Jovi-ee. I hope there is a glory note that Adam can kill.

  21. OHHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYY Ever so much excitement, I love the video clip, so quiet and now all this, the Adamstorm beginning?????

  22. okay going somewhere.PLEASE LET THERE BE YOUTUBE WHEN I GET BACK!!!

  23. I can’t even turn up the volume (i”m at work) and I have CHILLS down my body. OMG, is it 5 yet? I have to go home and watch it!!!!!!!

  24. This is going to be a 4 minute 43 second thrill ride of power ballad.

Yeah, yeah but did you HEAR that when the boat flipped?

  25. AHHHHHHHHH, I’m shaking as I’m writing right now. I’ve got to go watch it again……HOLY CRAP I lOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! ADAM STORM!!!!!!!!!!!

  26. This is much better and really fits with the mood of the movie and works well as a clip. And I like the song better and even the instrumentation. Phew!

Still got a cheese factor and bit typical movie song…but I liked it even more here.

And ADAM!!! He gets to talk about his song and how it fits the film. SOOOOO COOL!

  27. Ok this song is going to #1. After watching this video, I am prepared to be blown away. Holy S#$T……….

  28. OMG OMG OMG…THANK YOU THANK YOU ThANK YOU!!!! I am so in need of something Adam right now…its been making me crazy!!!!! His voice is SO f…..ing amazing!!!Okay…whew….more is coming….Christmas is early!!!!(can you tell i’m excited? lol) OMG I can’t wait!!!!.

  29. I just went to youtube and listened to another clip… tears are rolling down my cheeks. Everyone has waited for this moment for SOOOOOO long.

  30. Oooooooh how exciting! What a nice surprise. Adam sounds wonderful (not a surprise). I can’t even remember the last time I was excited for a movie to come out. Fun stuff!

  31. I want to buy the video. I hope they make the video available for download. So I can have that and the song. Oh, I’m pathetic. Ha ha.

ETA: Emo!Adam in the studio. *sigh*

  32. How beautiful at the end when he softens his voice, OH MY GOSH!!!

  33. This may be too much for me to handle… Nope, not at all, seems I’m handling it all just fine…

And, I’ll admit it does feel a little Christmas like (the excitement, that is, not the tune.) Must be because we’re seeing David Cook live for the first time on the 18th, and now an Adam release on the 20th…

    I’ve always loved Fall… :-)

  34. I just went to youtube and listened to another clip’ ¦

    link please?

  35. OMG. I am so gonna cry. It is epic. I love cheesy, I love coronation song, but most importantly, I love Adam Lambert’s voice.

  36. Oh, yeah, I get Adam tonight and Cookie tomorrow. *sigh* Epic weekend.

    Iconic!Adam.

  37. Oh this is better than the clip, stronger guitar and more of his gorgeous range. AWESOME! The song is typical diaster movie stuff, but Adam’s voice makes it epic. It’ll be like the theme from Titanic. We’ll be hearing it for years! Now I can’t wait for the CD single. I’m greedy! LOL

  38. If you haven’t done so already, you need to TURN UP THE VOLUME and listen to it on high!!

Everyone just left work, and I turned it on full blast, and you can really hear how Adam is singing his own backup. It’s fantastic!! This is gonna sound amazing in the theaters.

I am now officially going to this movie just to hear it.

  39. Wait, does YouTube have a different clip????
OMG, what is going on!!!! Adamstorm!!!
    BRB, trending #timeformiracles …

  40. Yeah I noticed he was doing his own back up! Two Adam’s singing at once!

  41. Everyone just left work, and I turned it on full blast

You better not roll down your car windows and start singing along….

  42. Holy crap! It’s incredible! Did you see his face while he was singing? Wow!

OMG. I am so gonna cry. It is epic. I love cheesy, I love coronation song, but most importantly, I love Adam Lambert’s voice.

    Yes to all of this.

  44. LOVE THE VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE ADAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOVE THE SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  45. Wow, so many Adam threads, so little time…

Loved this snippet! Loved seeing Adam talk about the thought processes behind the song.

Need to hear the whole thing, but liked what I heard so far.

  46. My heart was racing…I was tearing up. Uh,,,I’m an emotional wreck! I’m running out in the storm and playing in it! No more waiting…Time For Miracles!

  47. Yeah I noticed he was doing his own back up! Two Adam’s singing at once!

That will make live performances rather difficult ;p

  48. Eh, I don’t really like what I have heard so far. I think Adam is much better than the song (and the cheesy lyrics). His voice gets drowned out in the over-production.

Maybe when I hear the song in it’s entirety, I’ll form another opinion but for now, I’m not impressed.

  49. Add me to the heap of people who like it better every time they hear it. Still don’t know about the movie (and I lurve John Cusack), but I’ll definitely buy the single.

  50. Pulled off of youtube before I could grab it??? ARGHHHH.
The snippet does not do it justice – the video – just THUD!

ETA: Dear family, yes – it is just like AI season again, indeed I have burned dinner, but eating is over-rated – we will try again tomorrow or perhaps Sunday.

  51. IS IT WRONG OF ME TO BE SMILING LIKE AN IDIOT WHILE THE WORLD IS EXPLODING?????????

  52. Two Adams for the price of one. Love the double layered sound of Adam’s voice.

*Sigh* . . . with tears still puddling in my eyes!

IS IT WRONG OF ME TO BE SMILING LIKE AN IDIOT WHILE THE WORLD IS EXPLODING?????????

    HA, join the crowd!!!

  55. This clip is awesome!!!! Sound quality much better…No country vibe! Pure…. Rock…… Vocals…… Amazing….

  56. IS IT WRONG OF ME TO BE SMILING LIKE AN IDIOT WHILE THE WORLD IS EXPLODING?????????

    I’m so with you!

  57. Ok, so a question? Does he end the song with the plural “loves?” Just noticed that it sounds like it… What’s that about?

Just curious, not criticizing…. Anyone? Anyone?

  58. Hey,
Just popping out from under my rock to point out (maybe everyone’s already noticed, and said so–sooo many adam threads, soooo little time) that while this was always gonna be fairly cheestastic given the circs, the lyrics are less cheesy than what we originally thought we heard.
Because I’m fairly sure, having listened to the video (which, lets face it, just overflows with adam awesomeness) that the line is:
“I ain’t giving up on us”
    rather than
“I ain’t giving up on love”
Which, okay, neither one will win the Booker Prize, but is clearly less painful to have repeated over and over in a chorus. Especially when it is being so beautifully, spectacularly repeated.
Go Adam. SO excited for him. And for us.

  59. It is morning in Japan.
    Huge typhoon hit here yesterday.
    BUT I welcome #ADAMSTORM anytime.
    He made my day!

  62. IS IT WRONG OF ME TO BE SMILING LIKE AN IDIOT WHILE THE WORLD IS EXPLODING?????????

I feel this way exactly!!!! Smiling from ear to ear…

  63. I have never douded the “seal of approval,” of Brian May. He know’s when something is Epic. It just IS!

My heart skipped a beat, when Adam was voicing his opinion, about the song, in relation to the movie plot. I was holding my breath, while he was talking. I forgot what he does to me. It all came back, with a huge THUD!

I miss seeing him every night, during the Idol concert’s, but realize he is bigger than that. This summer was filled with Adam, and his way of making every performance an event!

I just love this magical mystery man! He has this powerful presense, that just grabs you by the heart.

  64. Huge grin on my face right now!! :D

That crescendo build I was talking about in the other thread is here and it sounds AWESOME.

This is turning out to be such a great day!

Love his vocals, he’s doing his own back up just adds to the depth of the them. I love it.

  65. wow how many Adam treads to we get. I love when he first starts to sing baby.. he totally looks like a rock star there. super excited.
    want. more. now.

  66. Ok, so a question? Does he end the song with the plural ‘loves?’ Just noticed that it sounds like it’ ¦ What’s that about?

Think its not giving up on US

  67. Oh my….beautiful, delicious, epic – what more can I say. He’s going to at least have Kelly Clarkson’s success. A voice like this CANNOT be denied. <3

  68. Yeah I noticed he was doing his own back up! Two Adam’s singing at once!

That will make live performances rather difficult

    ;p

Not at all. David Cook did all his own back-up vocals on his debut album, and he sings all those songs all live, either alone or with light harmony from his band, and the songs all sound great. Adam will have back-up singers, or he’ll sing just the melody line, and it will sound great. Both David and Adam have the vocal chops to sing without multiple tracks.

On the song itself, I was quite disappointed when I heard the initial snippet in the other thread. This sounds much much better. Yes, the song is cheestastic. So was Time of My Life — indeed, it had the ultimate cheese line, “Looking for that Magic Rainbow.” It went platinum. More than year after its release, it’s still on the radio. Time for Miracles will do just fine, if not better than fine.

  69. IS IT WRONG OF ME TO BE SMILING LIKE AN IDIOT WHILE THE WORLD IS EXPLODING?????????

i’m right there with ya…grinning like an idiot, while I watch it over and over and over and over again

  70. Ok, so a question? Does he end the song with the plural ‘loves?’ Just noticed that it sounds like it’ ¦ What’s that about?

Just curious, not criticizing’ ¦. Anyone? Anyone?

I think it is ” ain’t giving up on US “

  71. This is going to be a 4 minute 43 second thrill ride of power ballad.

hwc, can we get a MAN-SQUEEEEE!!!????

  72. “And I dont want to miss a thing”……oh wait, Diane Warren didnt write this song? sounds just as I expected it… a bit OTT and cheesy. regardless, still great to have a soundtrack this early in his career. doesnt hurt.

  73. SQUEEE!! Love it. Fabulous Crescendo. His voice is gorgeous. The power of the music and his voice should sound awesome in the theatre. Can’t wait to hear the whole thing. And this is the first clip that made me really want to see the film (more than I would normally because I automatically see everything disaster related).

  74. Thanks to all those clarifying the word “us” for me. Duh.

  75. hwc, can we get a MAN-SQUEEEEE!!!????

    I don’t think hwc does squeez…

  76. Ain’t giving up on ussssssssss….

Trending at #5. Hate to go home, but I am sure the thread will still be here when I return.

    I had a *feeling* the Adam!Storm would hit hard…

  77. From the Slezak review

As for me, I’m going to take a cleansing breath, exhale deeply, and then raise the first alcoholic beverage I can get my hands on that no part of the beloved Kradison troika has been saddled with ‘No Boundaries’ -esque pablum. That, in and of itself, proves it’s a time for miracles, no?

    I’ll drink too that!

  78. hwc, can we get a MAN-SQUEEEEE!!!????

I’m trying to preserve a little dignity here.

  79. I know I’m in the minority, but I don’t really care for it. Way too much screaming which was actually the part of Adam’s performances that just didn’t do anything for me at all. However, it looks like it is perfect for the movie. I hope it does well.

  80. That was f***king amazing!! I feel like crying. Adam’s voice, OMG. Can’t wait to download!

  81. Wow, the CGI in the video clip is really bad. Hasn’t Emmerich heard that it’s gotten a lot better since Independence Day? What was epic in 1996 isn’t so epic in 2009.

Hard to tell, hope it does well.

  82. From Slezak:

a verrry brief snippet of Adam’s ‘Time for Miracles,’ a cut from the upcoming 2012 soundtrack, is now streaming at Amazon.com UK, and it sounds like it has the potential to be a power-ballad smash.

  83. Ah, on the first part you hear him do double vocals, a base vocal and a higher on top of it. Listen to the phrase “Maybe you know this….”.

hwc, can we get a MAN-SQUEEEEE!!!????

I’m trying to preserve a little dignity here.

Dignity is over-rated!!! SQUUEEEEEE to your heart’s content, then dive on into the cheese fondue and swirl around a little with the rest of us!

  85. wow…i step out of the office for a half hour and come back to a VIDEO!!! I LOVE it!

  86. Oh my heck.

Ditto! And WOWWWW…Listening to this song made my heart race and it gave me goosebumps!! Adam is so friggin’ Amazing!

*Goes back to listen again and again and again and again…* :)))

  87. OMG…I love it! I knew I would love it, because NO ONE in the world can sing like Adam and he NEVER disappointed me during the season. NEVER. But, I love it more than I thought I would. His power and range are evident in the snippet (Can’t wait to hear the whole thing) and the most important thing to me, he sounds like ADAM!! What could be better?????

  88. JMHO but I believe even more then I did before that if the marketing honcho’s of 2012 used the song in the Oct 1st video spam the movie would have viewed better. The song makes the movie look less craptastic. (meaning better) But to be honest I maybe sort of biased. :-)

  89. Adam was so worth the wait. I love it. I’m playing it on both of my computers and pacing the room like an idiot. So happy that it isn’t completely crap. So happy that they didn’t mess with his voice and just let him sing like a choir of archangels. Squeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiinnnnnnng!!!!!!!!

  90. hwc, can we get a MAN-SQUEEEEE!!!????

I’m trying to preserve a little dignity here.

It’s okay, we’ll still respect you in the morning.

Where’s Halfie? Has he squeed yet?

  96. I can’t believe it. I leave for less than 2 hours and when I come back I find the site has exploded! I’m racing to catch up.

Somehow after I listened to the various clips (especially the video clip) these words popped into my brain: You’ve got the vocals for it, nobody else has it, it’s your lane … KILL IT!

No question. Adam killed it. I think this is going to be a huge hit. HUGE.

  97. Epic power ballad is epic!

  99. LOVE THIS!!! He looks and sounds SO Gorgeous!! I’m dying here!!!!!!! I have tears in my eyes. My daughter turned to me and said, “Mom, it’s a new beginning for Adam”. She’s so right and Adam so deserves it!

  100. Oh My God. That is f*cking amazing. So much better than the Amazon clip.

  101. Wow!!!!!! I had decided we weren’t gonna hear anything until Oct. 19., so this was a total surprise! Adam DOES love to surprise us!

Love the video showing Adam and love the clips of him belting out the song. And the voice, oh the voice!!!!!! I’m sitting at work. Is it OK if I cry???

    Epic power ballad is epic!

Can’t wait to buy the TFM single and play it my car at full blast, singing along with the windows rolled down ‘ ¦.

and so appropriate for DC traffic!

LOL!!! Hell I’m already singing it in full voice, and I’m not beyond taking a drive just to do it with the windows rolled down and scare the locals. LOL

  106. So happy that it isn’t completely crap.

readon, LOL. I think that none of us knew what to expect,,,and we’re all so happy that it isn’t completely crap.

Adam’s voice is so amazing, (the video clip is really amazing).
    *thud*

  107. Much, much better than the original snippet I heard. This is beautiful; gorgeous vocals, powerful, moving song. This is the Adam Lambert I love.

  108. OMFG!!! I am so happy this video appeared!

I was kinda liking the snippet, but THIS shows how epic the song really is. And Adam’s voice’ ¦it gives me chills and yes, Adam, you grabbed my heart. WOW!!!

Listen to the guitar bridge. Does it remind anyone else of Zeppelin’s Kashmir???

    I love this day!!!!!!!!

  109. I REALLY liked the snippet as well it was a softer vocal.. probably how the song starts.

  110. LOL!!! Hell I’m already singing it in full voice, and I’m not beyond taking a drive just to do it with the windows rolled down and scare the locals.

    LOL.
Wait until we get the full single. There will be lots of road trips so people can do just that.

  111. I am SOOO behind the times. Please, Please Please, someone tell me how to download a YouTube video. I want This one and “Come Home” so bad I could cry!

  112. Great day for Adam fans – we be happy tonight!
    :-)
Just wait until his album comes out, I may never stop flailing!

And now I can say with confidence that the best part of 2012 will definitely be TFM!

  113. It’s amazing that Adam can sing WLL and TFM (such different kinds of songs) and BOTH songs can affect me sooooo deeply in such different ways…I think Adam was beamed down from another planet, he’s like nothing I’ve ever seen or experienced in my life.

  114. But it’s still the world’s first dose of solo, post-AmIdol Adam…and that miraculous VOICE is simply unmistakable.

Yes Lyndsay, it is a miraculous voice!

  115. ‘ ¦I think Adam was beamed down from another planet, he’s like nothing I’ve ever seen or experienced in my life.

    uh,,,that would be Planet Fierce!

  116. Update from Slezak

[UPDATE: Scratch that, peeps! The AOL “making of” snippet now embedded below gives us 86 seconds, with Adam-on-Adam layers that are destined to make my mother do something drastic. Mr. Lambert, if Polly Slezak approaches you and says she’s working on a feature for EW, she is telling a lie!]

    Love his mom!

  117. IT IS AMAZING THE SONG TIME FOR MIRACLES IS GREAT AND THE VIDEO OF THE MOVIE 2012 WITH ADAM SINGING IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. I ORDERED THE C D OF THE MOVIE 2012 I CAN’T WAIT TO GET THAT C D AND ADAMS C D. OH MY GOD HE IS FANTASTIC.

There are several ways to do it, but I use keepvid (www.keepvid.com). It’s pretty self explanatory once you go to their site.

  121. But now, eight excruciating days later, the time for “Time For Miracles” has finally arrived. A new (and of course improved) trailer featuring a snippet of the Glamerican Idol’s much-hyped song has at long last leaked, and it’s just the big, blustery, bombastic, Brian May-endorsed, Oscar-worthy, dancing-in-the-path-of-greatness, EPIC movie theme Adam fans hoped it would be.

But does she like it?? haha. So Lyndsey loves it (did you doubt she would?), Slezak likes it, Jim was meh, and MJ was meh. Anyone else?

  122. O.M.G.

    FRIDAY AFTERNOON? CANNOT.BELIEVE.IT.

I am SOOO behind the times. Please, Please Please, someone tell me how to download a YouTube video. I want This one and ‘Come Home’ so bad I could cry!

I know the feeling! Sunn advised me to use keepvid.com and it works!http://keepvid.com/

Copy the URL of the youtube link in the box and click on download, then pick the type of video you want!

Good luck! It would be easier to just download it using Sunn’s link upthread!

  124. …with Adam-on-Adam layers that are destined to make my mother do something drastic.

    Uh,,,,ooooooooooo…. the visuals……

  125. OK; I just LOVE the double singing in the verse, makes it sound “autotunish”, if I am allowed to use that word, but if you listen carefully it is two vocals on top of each other, unblended. Totally awesome.

  126. I love what I hear and particularly enjoy where he goes with the lyric “love” at about 0:50. Can’t wait to hear more of that.

  127. ya think Lyndsey liked, or WHAT!!

This was awful, this video leaked while I was commuting home in my car!!!! I was anxiously awaiting the youtube video to load as I was stuck in traffic, for what seemed like an ETERNITY!!!

OMG- the fact that are using the song to promote the movie is EPIC!!!

As I am very shallow, Adam looked scrumptious in the video and he SOUNDED friggin’ awesome, too!

    YIPPEE

How come TFM is only trending at 4, com’on peeps slacking on the job, or what???

  128. I found the links for Slezak and Lyndsey but where’s the Cantiello link?

  129. I love what I hear and particularly enjoy where he goes with the lyric ‘love’ at about 0:50. Can’t wait to hear more of that.

    Adams signature improvisation!

  130. More update from Slezak:

UPDATE: A longer, ‘making of’ clip is available via AOL ‘” I’ve embedded it below ‘” and it puts the ‘edible’ in incredible’ ¦or somethin’ like that!

    LOL Love Slezak~

  131. I loved this clip! awesome song! The Adam promotion machinesure has started!
Adam’s vocals are perfect for this song! It’s going to be huge.
And I have no doubt in my mind Adam is going to be pretty huge too.
Congrats to Adam and his fans!

  132. Glad all the time we have waited is finally gonna payoff. Been waiting too long for something different and exciting in music. Adam Lambert…(and The Flaming Lips too, but I like ’em a little strange).

  133. From Lyndsey’s review:

Glamerican Idol’s much-hyped song has at long last leaked, and it’s just the big, blustery, bombastic, Brian May-endorsed, Oscar-worthy, dancing-in-the-path-of-greatness, EPIC movie theme Adam fans hoped it would be.

Listen and prepare to have your face blown off, 2012-style:

    I love that woman. :D

  134. ahh too many threads to catch up on. im so mad that i was gone when this broke… but im SOOO BLOWN AWAY by the song. yes it may be cheesy, but i love cheese and adam can sing the sh!t out of cheesy love songs/rock ballads.

    swooooon!

  135. This is much better than the snippet and the song works quite well with the visuals. It looks like it will be great promo for Adam (even if it doesn’t represent his album style).

  136. Me No Likey. Very cheese-tastic. Like a Celine Dion soundtrack special. I could see her in a video wearing a wallet chain singing this. So very Diane Warren. Boo.

But I bet his album stuff will be better.

  137. Can you imagine hearing this in the theatre in Surround Sound?

I can’t wait. I am going to see this movie just to experience this in surround sound.

It’s been a hour since I heard this and it almost made me forget how to do the quotes.

I was shaking and crying when I first saw the video to be perfectly honest

I cried too. Actual tears running down my face. I think they were tears of relief from all the tension of waiting.

It’s a great snippet, the song will be beautiful I’m sure. Thank you Emmerich.

  139. I friggin’ love it. Adam is the MAN!!! Those vocals are out-of-this-world. No one delivers like that, no one. I can’t wait to hear it at the theater, play it in my car, in my house, outside…Damnit, Adam belongs everywhere. Sooooooo Sooooooo Thrilled today.

  140. OMG…just WOW!

I’m a lurker, I just sit quietly usually reading the posts and basking in Adam’s amazingness in private. Not tonight though!

I’m squeeeing, and flailing, and tweeting, and adamgasming all at the same time. And I am loving every second of it!!! And what’s even better is this is only like a minute of the song. There are what 3 and a half to look forward to!?!?! So glad that video was put up, it’s a million times better than the download snippet!

YAY for Adam, and yay for us for fianlly ;-) getting a small reward for our patience (well, we were kind of patient right?!) :-)

Oh, while I am here, can I thank you all for finding all these sources, posting the links and making me feel it’s OK to be utterly obsessed with this beautiful man!

  141. Me No Likey. Very cheese-tastic. Like a Celine Dion soundtrack special. I could see her in a video wearing a wallet chain singing this. So very Diane Warren. Boo.

But I bet his album stuff will be better.

And that is ok – music would be very boring if we all liked the same thing.

I FLOVE this song, and I am quite sure that his album stuff will be better too….I can’t imagine what will happen at that point….

  142. I liked it from the beginning but it’s actually growing on me – wonder if I’ll end up singing it from the rooftops at this rate

    From Adam’s friend Cassidy

cassidyhaley wow. i got chills’ ¦home run @adamlambert dear http://bit.ly/2ros5s

Aah, that’s so sweet. I’m sure Cassidy is right, this song will be a home run… god willing and touch wood.

  144. Once the squeeing, shaking and crying has died down, if it ever does, I’d really like to know how this all happened. I mean, do the 2012 folks just casually slip the TFM snippet onto amazon and then drop in the video and hope someone sees them?
It’s just amazing how quickly this thing blew up. I’m just fascinated to understand how.

Right now, back to squeeeing, shaking and crying!!!

  145. I also cried. Just so excited to see our boy in the process of making his dreams of a recording artist come true. Such incredible talent he has and has had. But now, having people believe in his talent, in him, giving him the honor of asking him to do the song for this film, the love he is receiving from his fans, it must be overwhelming and so rewarding.

STAY ON THE CLOUD, ADAM, STAY ON THE CLOUD!! WE’LL FOLLOW YOU ANYWHERE.

    Love him!!

  146. Much better than the 30s snipet, Adam get to wail it out really good on this song, the middle part sounds like Kashmir, I think it could be a big hit on AC and HAC.
The whole video looks like a bonus interview for a DVD.

  147. Well, I can see why Meat Loaf likes it. :) It’s a big, bombastic, power ballad. Right up his alley.

  149. aww.. mj, how can I keep up with these readings? I haven’t finished the 2012 snippet thread yet and now the video clip thread… I just can feel I’ll have a great week end now that I can hear Adam’s amazing voice on a brand new song…

    Thank you mj.. {back lurking and start reading}

Nah, I think they know there are too many invested fans out there who will scour the internet for stuff. I mean his album went #1 on Amazon the day it was available for preorder without any prior notice.

  151. Like a Celine Dion soundtrack special.

Yea, that whole Titanic soundtrack thing didn’t work out too well. haha

  152. I just don’t like the song, so coronation-like to me. It has nothing special, and the orchestra part sounds like a ripp off of “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me” by U2, the song used in Batman Forever, BTW that song truly rocks but was voted one of the worst that year.

I like Adam, I really do, I just don’t get this song, it’s so ordinary, I was expecting awesomeness. I like LLWD by Kris so much more than this song and by far (not that they can be compared, just saying).

But well, sorry to the Adam fans, hopefully his record will be full of pleasent surprises.

I’m with you, tinawina. Not my thing, at all.

That’s cool! All opinions are welcomed and respected….My opinion is I love it but rock is my thing. Downside… must wait a week until I get to hear the rest.

  154. Ryan Seacrest tweeted

RyanSeacrest lotta people been waiting to hear this…clip of @adamlambert’s “time for miracles”…listen http://bit.ly/m6UxP

    AWWW. RYDAM <3

  155. FINALLY. He is SUCH a great singer….his voice (or his vocal performance rather) really MAKES the song, especially since in this particular clip or part of the song before Adam starts singing there is an almost UNCANNY resemblance to the music from that “Dont let me got song” by “The Fray” (I think that’s the title?)…but as soon as he starts singing and your hear his distinctive voice the song sort of meta-morphs LOL
and I LOVED how they synthesized his voice it sounds very cool and adds a modern touch (and makes it even more ear-friendly for those who are not fans of the rock wail…although I am =D)…so yeah I think the only thing that makes it a bit cheesy/corny is the lyrics but musically speaking it doesnt sound outdated to me…guess we shall have to see what everyone else thinks..cant wait to hear the whole the whole thing though…with the video =D

  156. golcook, no need to be sorry. Safe to say we’re all on the cloud shaking anc crying and quite happy, thank you very much.

  157. Well I don’t think Jim C has listened to the video. Slezak changed his mind once he heard the vid, so I am sure Jim C will change his mind too. I know it’s not Kris, but he will succumb.

  158. Just got home after driving 400 miles today. KNEW this would happen while I was gone and went straight to the computer when I got home. Haven’t read any critiques yet just saw the video clip………

    SQUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  159. It’s lovely. Perfect movie song. The crescendo or whatever it is that starts playing at 52 seconds in is kickass. :) Can’t wait for the full track!!

  160. Reminder:

Please respect those who post negative opinions of the song. Another reminder that this is not an Adam Lambert flail thread. Thank you.

  161. Bringing this over from the Snippet thread – didn’t know there was a new video thread:

I like Gouda, Brie, Provolone, Swiss, Cheddar and I LOVE TFM!! All I need is some wine and I’m good to go.

This was more than worth the wait.

  162. Gotta admit, it’s not to my taste. But I’m really happy for him and for his fans! Congrats!

  164. Everyone needs to remember, this song was written for a movie, it may not resemble what Adam’s CD will sound like. That said, I think it’s AMAZING, Adam can sing ANYTHING!

  165. I don’t get the apologizing for not liking it. Not everyone will, it is a ballad and with a classic rock feel, not everyone’s cup of tea. I’m absolutely crazy about it, but then Adam can sing and wail the Sesame Street theme song and I’ll love it.

    http://www.moviefone.ca/2009/10/09/adam-lambert-time-for-miracles-music-video-2012-movie/#

    Love this:

Lambert’s spine-tingling — and never-pitchy, dawg — vocals provide the perfect musical accompaniment to scenes of cities blowing up, international landmarks crumbling like sandcastles, the ocean swallowing Hollywood

Slezak changed his mind once he heard the vid, so I am sure Jim C and MJ will change their minds too.

Don’t count on it…I will take bets ;)

ETA: And not everyone has to like it!

  168. THE ROCKER WAIL! I knew it! It was one (of many) things I looked forward to on AI. I LOVE THAT EFFIN’ rocker scream of his and I get chills everytime I hear it. I cannot wait to hear this whole song. Rocker at heart I am.

Awwww. Ryan never tweeted about anyone else’s singles did he? I love him right now.

    I don’t think he has Sunn…

  170. This is a new song, right?

Yes it is Cate. It’s Adam new song, “Time for Miracles” from the 2012 soundtrack. It’s so good, you do want to pinch yourself to make sure.

  171. I mean, do the 2012 folks just casually slip the TFM snippet onto amazon and then drop in the video and hope someone sees them?

No, ravengirl. Nothing casual about posting a promotional video five weeks out from a movie not in theatres, the day after the first press junket — to oh, so beautiful Jackson Hole –that prominently features the handsome, talented, internet sensation singing the end credit song. Yeah, that says tight script and never before achieved special effects.

That AOL vid editing of one 2.5 second scene after another wasn’t for today’s short attention span. It was because the movie footage wasn’t very good. (Close ups of Cusack gear shifting?) Starting to think the reason for the roadblock was attempt to inoculate audience from leaking bad buzz. That includes, now, look it’s Adam Lambert, you love him, you’ll love the movie. Trend this please.

The TFM snippets are definitely further proof Adam can sing anything. Lyrical or musical innovation not required. He’ll make anything sound as good as it ever has any hope of being.

  172. Awwww. Ryan never tweeted about anyone else’s singles did he? I love him right now.

So happy, now 2.45 million Ryan followers now have the link to Adam’s song.. What a guy!!!

Luving Ryan more than eva right now! Wow! he is getting the song out there with those followers! Has he tweeted for the others like this?? I am so happy right now.

  173. Awwww. Ryan never tweeted about anyone else’s singles did he? I love him right now.

Ryan has seemed eager for Adam music for awhile. As a part-time listener to his show (man he is a douche in that morning dj way, but he’s much easier to take than other morning djs), he never pays much attention to Idols post-show, but strangely mentions Adam a fair bit (in comparison, that is) and specifically mentioned his single when he interviewed him post-Idol. I found that pretty interesting, considering Ryan is a dj and KIIS FM LA really doesn’t play much Idol music, excluding Kelly and Jordin.

And can I just say as someone whose tastes trend more towards garage rock/indie pop and electronica that I freakin’ luuurve me some power ballads. It’s my musical guilty pleasure. So ridiculous, but I cannot resist (I even own those monster power ballad compilations).

  174. Is it an overproduced, clichd, epic orgasm of disaster movie power ballad cheesetasticness? YES!!!

Is it going to be a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE HIT? Absolutely!

Could I possibly love it more? NNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

That voice is trademark Power Ethereality, Angel-On-Iceskates Adam Lambert.

  175. Ryan actually has a link on his site of the video under what’s happening. Wow

  176. Just chiming in to say I love the video clip and I can’t wait to buy the whole song!

  177. Glamerican Idol’s much-hyped song has at long last leaked, and it’s just the big, blustery, bombastic, Brian May-endorsed, Oscar-worthy, dancing-in-the-path-of-greatness, EPIC movie theme Adam fans hoped it would be.

    That about sums it up!

    WOW Adam, just WOW!

You got snippet of that….I want it. :-)

  180. Oh my God.

This video makes the song at least a million times better. When I first heard the clip I was like “Meh, it’s just okay”, but now it works so well with the video and does have a more epic feel to it.

I still think it sounds like a coronation type of song though :P.

  181. Slezak changed his mind once he heard the vid, so I am sure Jim C and MJ will change their minds too.

I’ll take bets that they won’t change them either. And why should they? Not the least of which is that is IT a cheesy, power ballad. But I like it, because I can like cheese once and a while, or I would have taken a rusty melon baller to my brain upon watching AI.

  182. That voice is trademark Power Ethereality, Angel-On-Iceskates Adam Lambert.

    GAH I had such a baaaaad day ;;

    and then BAM
    this is amazing ;3;
    I hope it’s a hit. I really really really do it’s amazing
Oh and I went on my itouch to check news and I saw this post and went pretty nuts for about an hour
    still going nuts
my playcount for this song: probably in the 200s or something IDK

ETA: With all the comments on this thread about liking this version better is it worth it to read the other thread?? Any news in it?

    Oh and I should go do my homework now ;; I HATE THAT I HAVE TO STUDY FOR SO MANY TESTS NEXT WEEK D;

Oh and I love the last line when he sings ‘loooove’ so beautiful <3

  184. But well, sorry to the Adam fans, hopefully his record will be full of pleasent surprises.

golcook, have you READ this thread? No sympathies necessary for the Adam fans, we’re all ridin’ high for the foreseeable future, CD launch included, I’ve no doubt.

  185. Awwww. Ryan never tweeted about anyone else’s singles did he? I love him right now.

Hmmm, now that you mention it, I think you might be right.

    Thank you.

  186. Its very dramatic. I love it. My cuppa. Don’t know if I am the best judge for songs. I loved, loved, Light On, and a Little Too Not Over You… so there you have it.

  187. Hi, I’m home! Anything happen while I was walking home? *grin*

Yeah, I think Ryan always liked Adam. I don’t think Slezak ever disliked him, he was just 3rd:

    Rocker (Allison)
    Kris
Adam (Slezak’s mom lurrrves Adam, however, and must be squeeing like us)

Did Slezak listen to the whole clip? I don’t care about Cantiello.

BTW, I was listening to it in my office (quite loudly, I might add) around 5PM I left arund 6:30. Turns out a co-worker who really dislikes me was still there when I left. So she had to listen to it several times. HA HA HA.

Oh, and the Yankees are losing. Life is good.

  188. Hm, well let’s just say I had an expectation considering 1. Disaster Flick 2. Ending Credits and 3. Adam Lambert and this about hit it. The video version is much more impressive than the snippet, fwiw. Adam’s voice and this genre aren’t my thang but I can see it’s made his fans happy. :)

  189. I’m sure Perez has it already.

    That about sums it up!

    WOW Adam, just WOW!

Clearone I was waiting to see what you thought :)

  190. wow, i like this….a lot….i have a feeling adam is going to be BIG. (i’m late to the adam party, i know, but geez…he’s GOOD!)

I love Ryan. He is very well respected in the business. He seems to love Adam, so I love him even more!

Has he sent out a link for any of the other idol’s music?

  193. Kind of the Aerosmith rip off I was expecting. I guess I’m the only one who laughed at the video. It’s so cheesy. :)

I think if you like Adam’s style you’ll dig the song.To my ears, he still gets too shrieky at the end. It’ll be interesting to see if this connects with an audience beyond the fan base.

  194. Eh, not a fan. For being hyped as much as it has been, I would have figured this would have been much more then it is. Seems very generic and kind of dull. Im sure it will have as much success as the Glamberts push for it, but I doubt it will do much better then that.

  195. Love the song and I love Adam..can’t wait to hear the whole song and to buy it!!!

  196. ut I like it, because I can like cheese once and a while, or I would have taken a rusty melon baller to my brain upon watching AI.

You’re probably right about that but considering he hasnt posted about it on his blog yet Im not too sure. He was lightning quick on want so it’s weird. Or well we don’t know that for sure I guess haha

    That would be me…. :)
    and I’m guessing just a few more….

  199. Oh and I love the last line when he sings ‘loooove’ so beautiful

A couple of people have mentioned this. My ears are not hearing the word “love” anywhere in this clip. I AM old, however I believe the word is “us”

  200. Boredinschool, not worth going back to the original clip thread imo. But then, I’ve not been back for a couple of hours. I guess if you’re *really* bored… ;-)

Oh, and it’s worth going back to get the looped mp3 posted on this thread. A huge THANKS to whoever did that one for us!! Sorry I forgot who…. But I do enjoy your work!

  201. wow, i like this’ ¦.a lot’ ¦.i have a feeling adam is going to be BIG. (i’m late to the adam party, i know, but geez’ ¦he’s GOOD!)

This party may last a while. He is good. I like cheese. In some countries it’s like dessert. This is cheesecake. Yummy.

  202. love Ryan. He is very well respected in the business. He seems to love Adam, so I love him even more!

Isn’t it funny how much your opinion changes of someone if they like Adam? lol

I’m so relieved about this song. I love it. I guess Brian May isn’t dead to me after all.

  203. A couple of people have mentioned this. My ears are not hearing the word ‘love’ anywhere in this clip. I AM old, however I believe the word is ‘us’

YOU’RE RIGHT. I think that I’ve been harmonizing (not succeeding) with him on that last word thinking it was love.

  204. Thanks for the welcome! I’m still on cloud cuckoo land and will sleep happily tonight. Speaking of which, it is late over here on my side of the pond so I am going to try and make myself sleep. Here’s hoping for dreams of Adam and for waking up tomorrow to the next front of the AdamStorm moving in. That’s one downpour I’ll happily paddle around in!

    Night night everyone, happy squeeing!!!!!

  205. I’ve been listening to the clip over and over. No one has a voice like Adam’s. Those notes he can hit, that tone, that range, he is truly unique. No wonder so many industry veterans, producers, writers, collaborators, reporters are so enthralled with his voice, he’s not ordinary. There is nothing ordinary about Adam, whatsoever, he is truly in a class by himself. No one will ever mistake his voice for anyone else’s, his uniqueness just shines through. It did on Idol and it does in both the snippet and the video. Love it.

  206. it is ‘us’ and not ‘love’. I wonder if the words to the whole song are somewhere on the web?

  207. Isn’t it funny how much your opinion changes of someone if they like Adam? lol

Oh Im not even trying to hide it XD
I was indifferent to him before but now I like his promoting of TFM. That better?

Boredinschool, not worth going back to the original clip thread imo. But then, I’ve not been back for a couple of hours. I guess if you’re *really* bored’ ¦ ;-)

    BAZINGA (watch big bang theory)
Im too busy to be bored these days :( Maybe I should change my username….
    Okay thanks :) I won’t bother then.
What about the thread about Adam having a full string orchestra? (badly phrased you know what Im talking about it)

I’ve been listening to the clip over and over. No one has a voice like Adam’s. Those notes he can hit, that tone, that range, he is truly unique. No wonder so many industry veterans, producers, writers, collaborators, reporters are so enthralled with his voice, he’s not

His voice just SOARS on this song. It’s beautiful *wipes away tear*
And I know?? I’ve been refreshing my yt tab with the song on it for the past….oh maybe 2 hours?

  208. A couple of people have mentioned this. My ears are not hearing the word ‘love’ anywhere in this clip. I AM old, however I believe the word is ‘us’

I hear “us” too, and I am also somewhat old, but can still hear well. I listened with headphones and it sounds like “us”.

  209. Don’t know if this tfm is on the cd or not, haven’t been following adam all that much. Seems like a different kind of song would push album sales more than this one, and there’s probably plenty for them to choose from…all remains to be seen i suppose.

  210. Isn’t it funny how much your opinion changes of someone if they like Adam? lol

Probably true. But, I’ve actually always loved Ryan-he’s a savant when it comes to hosting a live show. I think he saved the show last year. Well, Ryan and Adam did. heehee

I was shaking and crying when I first saw the video to be perfectly honest

I cried too. Actual tears running down my face. I think they were tears of relief from all the tension of waiting.

It’s a great snippet, the song will be beautiful I’m sure. Thank you Emmerich.

I cried also. Yes thank you Emmerich and a triple thank you to Cavello for allowing Adam’s voice to be unaltered and to wail and soar!

  212. for allowing Adam’s voice to be unaltered!

    YES THANK YOU
After Allison’s voice was smoothed out I was pretty much SURE that they would alter his. So THANK YOU CAVALLO!
    Seriously thank you :)

  213. I’m sure Perez has it already.

    That about sums it up!

    WOW Adam, just WOW!

Clearone I was waiting to see what you thought

I just love it and I have no doubt that it is going to be a monster hit worldwide. It’s a springboard to superstardom for Adam!

WTG Seacrest!! Ryan isn’t always my favourite person but he get’s a thumb’s up tonight!

  214. So many things to comment on – I’m not surprised at all that it isn’t liked by all but I’m not worried.

For one thing, it’s incredibly Adamesque… this is the power vocals that I personally adore so much. If the producers had wanted this vibe… had wanted this power in the song, I think they’ve made a perfect choice in choosing Adam. I don’t think there are many singers than can carry off a tune like that… then again people didn’t like Adam for his “shrieking”. But whatever rocks your boat, I call it power, they call it shrieking. mehs, I’ll love to shriek all day if I had 5% of Adam’s vocals.

Lyrics are cheesy though… haha wait until I hear the full song.

  215. If this was his first single and based on that short clip, I’d put it after Kris and Allison’s. Their stuff seems more modern and this sounds too OTT. But I get that it’s for a cheesy disaster film and not for his album.

Only time will tell. Let’s hope that Adam, Allison and Kris get more listeners outside the idol bubble and that everyone loves them.

We’re in the moment tonight. The next few weeks may be a total buzz kill. Like Scarlett said, tomorrow is another day.

    Adam rocks.

  216. A couple of people have mentioned this. My ears are not hearing the word ‘love’ anywhere in this clip. I AM old, however I believe the word is ‘us

It may be both, I think. I thought I heard “love” in the audio-only version, and “us” at the end of the video clip version. Maybe it switches in the song?

  217. I actually liked the song even better than I thought I would. And God knows, I thought I would. But srsly, the lower register, the upper register, the way it crescendos (was hoping it would). WOW.

Was the firestorm unsuccessful, and that is why Adam’s song is now being used to hype the film? Has it been edited, perhaps, or is it just that Adam will help sell tickets (which he clearly will). Win/win.

ETA: Listen to the ending it’s…usssssssss….. Adam lets the s fade out. :)

  218. I don’t who likes or dislikes Adam – I LOVE HIM and that’s all that matters! He’s such a stahhhhhh….

  219. A couple of people have mentioned this. My ears are not hearing the word ‘love’ anywhere in this clip. I AM old, however I believe the word is ‘us’

You’re right, by golly, it is us.
    Great catch.

  220. Don’t know if this tfm is on the cd or not, haven’t been following adam all that much. Seems like a different kind of song would push album sales more than this one, and there’s probably plenty for them to choose from’ ¦all remains to be seen i suppose.

Yes, you’re right in assuming this won’t be on his CD. This will be on the movie soundtrack and released as a single.

Adam’s first CD is completely separate and will promote and reflect his own musical tastes and image.

Although he kills it with the earthy rock gawd image on TFM, I think.

  221. I’m with Squirrely, no reason to apologize for not liking the song. People aren’t going to, especially those who don’t like Adam’s voice to begin with. I mean seriously, this song of all songs, isn’t going to suddenly make you stop not liking his voice. And again, fully recognize the downsides to it, predictable movie songage in lyrics, cheesey instrumentation, no doubt predictable crescendos will happen.

Yeah, it’s not ZOMG my favourite movie song evah!!1!1! Nor even my favourite Adam song and I think Brian May is wacked if he thinks this is anything special…beyond I do like Adam’s voice a lot in this. And it has some prettiness and fun! in it to me.

At least this song isn’t dull and I enjoy it for what it is.

  222. Oh, Man. I hope they are going to put the video up on iTunes. Hmmmm,,,has iTunes checked in yet?

  223. Oh and I also tweeted it to Michelle Collins. I wonder…does Aimee know?

  224. Oh, so I forgot to mention this.

    We have two Adam songs:

This one, the power anthem; and

The one from the album, upbeat, probably a bit of synths (I’m betting it’s Strut)

So you get two sides of Adam:

“That’s your winning combination, using both sides of yourself, great.”

Kara, finale, after ACIGC, Top 2, finale ;)

  225. I think it’s got a little Gavin DeGraw sound to it around the lyric “cause I ain’t giving up on love”. The rest is all Adam.

Oh and I also tweeted it to Michelle Collins. I wonder’ ¦does Aimee know?

Of course I tweeted Aimee. She and I are like *this*. ;)

  227. If this was his first single and based on that short clip, I’d put it after Kris and Allison’s. Their stuff seems more modern and this sounds too OTT. But I get that it’s for a cheesy disaster film and not for his album.

The operative part of this criticism is that it’s for a flick, NOT his first CD. He was asked to sing the featured song for what promises, no matter how cheesy, to be a blockbuster movie, and that was a HUGE honor for Adam. They could have asked any of the Idols, or anyone else in the music industry, for that matter, and they’d have jumped at the chance. But they didn’t… they asked Adam, and he did the amazing job they obvously knew he would. I don’t think it’s fair to compare this song with the first singles of the others’ CD’s. This is not his first single; It’s an added bonus that, in my opinion, will do nothing but help him in that it will further spread his name to peeps who might not yet be familiar with his music–just in time for his single to come out in a couple of weeks. He’s already promised that his CD will be upbeat and contemporary, so I think we should wait to hear that before making comparisons.

  228. We have two Adam songs:

OMG! I almost forgot! So if someone likes rock ballads, TFM is for you, for me and if you like, More modern, Strut or Obsession is for you, for me! Yeah! We are so honored to get to see two sides of Adam in a short time. Could anyone be so lucky?? I luuuuuuuuuv him!!!

  229. I like this song better than Allison and Kris’s singles and I have only heard a what 80 sec clip.. White chedder please.. :-)

  230. I llike Blue cheese more cause it has little sparkles of blue in the cheese-sooooo appropriate for the glittery alien with blue streaked hair.

  231. And Adamsanity begins …
This probably has been said in the comments, but I didn’t see it at first glance: I think this song is more about the movie than about Adam. So, I don’t think it is a true reflection of what’s to come from him.
Here’s hoping, because I am not too crazy about this one.

  232. Before going vegan havarti dill was my cheese of choice now TfM fills that void ;-)

  233. Do you think iTunes will release the song/video/both soon? (I mean, as a pre-order.) I expect they will for his album in a couple of weeks; they usually do about a month before the release date (and I’m pretty sure they will offer a pre-order, which is to say THEY BETTER).

  234. Tried again, still don’t like it.

I like Adam’s style of singing, but I just can’t get into this song. But then again, I HATE Don’t Want To Miss A Thing. This kinda reminded me of that. Very 90s power ballad cheese.

He sounds good though. Maybe you need to hear it in a movie theater over the credits, with stuff blowing up? Heh.

Are they releasing this to radio?

  235. Adam Lambert ‘Time for Miracles’ Music Teaser From ‘2012’: Exclusive Sneak Peek

    http://insidemovies.moviefone.com/2009/10/09/adam-lambert-time-for-miracles-music-video-2012-movie/

“‘American Idol”s resident guyliner-wearing showman Adam Lambert is back with his first song since nabbing runner-up honors on the show last season. Not surprising to anyone who saw Lambert’s rendition of Johnny Cash’s ‘Ring of Fire,’ his new song, entitled ‘Time for Miracles,’ is extremely theatrical …”

    moo

  236. I wholeheartedly embrace the cheese! After all, I do watch American Idol, don’t I?? I’m just glad that Adam’s voice is like Caciocavallo Podolico, rather than Velveeta.

  237. BTW, I’m taking cheese orders (a la HSM’s lollies). ;-)

  238. Although he kills it with the earthy rock gawd image on TFM, I think.

…and IMO there is nothing wrong with being an earthy rock god. I think one has more of a chance of a long lasting music career than a glittery alien. Adam could have said no to this song if he felt it didn’t fit the image he wanted to present to the world. He didn’t say no.

  239. I llike Blue cheese more cause it has little sparkles of blue in the cheese-sooooo appropriate for the glittery alien with blue streaked hair.

And a little glass of Goldschlager for the glitter??

  240. t’s a big, bombastic, power ballad.

Oh yes has to be, so hope, which is , I think the message of the song can not only compete with all the despair and destruction that is going on visually, but also transcend over it. Cheesy yep but that is why mac and cheesy is an all time favorite. Lots of folks love them cheesy.

I just love seeing Adam’s name on the credits – and hey the music teaser highlights Adam the singer !

  241. UUGGGHHH horrible. That song is just so dreary sounding, and is tuneless. On top of it the movie looks stupid and I can’t believe people are talking about the oscars for this crap. I think that this is a third strike for AI8 contestant singles. Hopefully Adam’s real single will actually be good. Or maybe Gokey’s music will be good (just kidding of course that isn’t happening lol).

  242. Are they releasing this to radio?

Dunno. IF they’re releasing the single, then they might release a radio edit as well. I hope so. I think this can HIT.

  243. Don’t forget people, this is the THEME song for a movie, not Adam’s first big single!!!!!!!!! The song is AMAZING, it is PERFECT for the movie.

  244. I think it’s great, big classic rock style ballad played at the end of a big cheesy disaster film and Adam can sing the hell out of it. I can’t wait to hear the rest.

I love that we are getting two “single” from Adam because the way I see it, if you’re an Adam fan and it’s not your style, no worries, I bet he has something on his album that you will love (since he’s told us this is not representative of his album sound). If you’re not an Adam fan then I’m sure that hasn’t changed, nothing new there. If you don’t like his voice, you probably still don’t like his voice, same way I feel about some of the other idols, to each his own :)

The things I am most excited about are that this track does let his voice shine through, not over produced and no auto tuning in sight from what I hear, and this track is going to be heard by a whole lot of people who are not American Idol fans and probably have no idea of who Adam Lambert is, I see no bad in that kind of huge exposure to potential music buyers.

  245. From ryanseacrest.com

Clip of Adam Lambert’s “Time for Miracles” Hits Web

    http://www.ryanseacrest.com/blog/whats-happening/clip-of-adam-lamberts-time-for-miracles-hits-web/

A short teaser of American Idol runner up Adam Lambert’s ‘Time for Miracles,’ a cut from the upcoming 2012 soundtrack, has now hit the web, and it sounds like it has the potential to be a power-ballad smash. Though a hit-in-the-making, a rep for Adam’s label says ‘Time for Miracles’ won’t be the lead single from Adam’s forthcoming debut disc; a decision on which track they’ll ultimately choose will be made in the next couple of weeks.

  246. Whoa someone must have put a hurting on Amazon. When I type Adam’s name now his album comes up first on the first page. It’s about freaking time!

  247. I have always loved his voice. So I’m pretty sure he’s going to make me love all the songs he sings whether they’re original or just a cover.

  248. Wow! like Ryan’s review! All of the reviews have been great and lots of em-well except MJ and Jim C. Are they always that tight?? Do they ever disagree?

  249. BTW, I’m taking cheese orders (a la HSM’s lollies).

emoelvis, brie please. some grapes if you have them. thx.

  250. I’m pretty sure the lyric is, “I ain’t giving up on US“. What do you all think?

  251. Two songs (TFM, first single, TBA), one artist, your choice.

    Both
    One
    Neither

So cool about Ryan, BTW. He has over 2,000,000 followers AND with it being on his website, even the uninitiated get a chance to see the clip.

    Not too shabby…

(I love the way it CRESCENDOs and then falls back softly…have I mentioned that yet? ;))

Back to Twitter to see if Aimee or Lyndsey have joined the fun yet. :)

    ITA: TXArchitect, ROTFL

  252. Though a hit-in-the-making, a rep for Adam’s label says ‘Time for Miracles’ won’t be the lead single from Adam’s forthcoming debut disc; a decision on which track they’ll ultimately choose will

Next couple of weeks????????? That pushes it down to a 26/11 release right????

    Oh noooooo.

  253. Dunno. IF they’re releasing the single, then they might release a radio edit as well. I hope so. I think this can HIT.

We’ll see soon! I have no idea how it would do. Should be fun to track though. Do they like this kind of song in Europe? Maybe they’ll release it there?

Even if its only getting played in the movie I think it will do its job. He does sound good on the song, so maybe folks will stop and go “Who is that singing? He’s good!’.

I’ll be in the corner waiting for my Depeche Mode song. LOL.

  254. But luckily for this Adam fan, this isn’t his single, as you say, it’s a cheesy movie song for a cheesy and VERY schlocky movie.
    But clearly YMMV.

…and this cheesy song is going to make him a superstar.

  255. I love listening to Adam’s vocals again; they reach inside me and lift me up into another stratasphere.

His voice is incredible and unique, and it blows me away once again. His voice, and what he does with it, by themselves are enough for me on this song. The highs and lows, the effortless power… the last note…

    I flove it all.

As Paula would say, I don’t even notice the lyrics because my ear is so transfixed on the brilliant sound of his voice.

I even like listening to his voice when he is just talking about the song.

  256. I think it’s great, big classic rock style ballad played at the end of a big cheesy disaster film and Adam can sing the hell out of it. I can’t wait to hear the rest.

    I’ll co-sign that.

I’ve been in trainiig for a few weeks now, listening to Bat out of Hell and Bat Out of Hell II to get ready for Adam-time. I used to hate that kind oif big bombastic rock ballad stuff, but I’ve really been getting into it here lately. I’ll probably balance it out with a little Cowboy Junkies and Ryan Adams doing Hank Williams’ I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry later on. I’m all about the ying and the yang.

  257. hwc: You’re ON tonight!

Oh Clearone, you’re all fangirly tonight!

I can’t wait until the guys at DigitalDreamDoor guys get this song! They are going to die.

I love the term “earthy rock god”. Adam can sing anything!

  258. Next couple of weeks????????? That pushes it down to a 26/11 release right????

    Oh noooooo.

No worries. We don’t know WHEN this rep said this. Seems like we’re been hearing this all along, so we’re still on schedule.

  259. Lynne
    October 9, 2009 at 8:44 pm

I even like listening to his voice when he is justtalking about the song.

I so agree, Adam is so articulate!! Love hearing him speak in interviews!

  260. All kidding aside, I kinda feel like I did during the Idol season when we go that little 1 minute tease on the live show and then had to wait for the real version to be released on iTunes — the version that had time to build like a proper song.

  261. HI GUYS IM BACK LEAVING AFTER I WATCH THE YOUTUBE!!!!! today gas been AWESOME

annnd…look Adam leaked after I got back frm school.seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?Adam cares about my education lol

  262. Love it, esp. in this video clip. Yeah, it’s in the family of “Don’t want to Miss a Thing.” I think it’s going to be a big mainstream hit! It’s not the edgy dance song he’s releasing next, ala L. Gaga, which I’m going to love too. Hey, can’t I love both kinds of music, both sides of Adam? His voice rocks on this. Can’t wait to hear the rest of it. I can just see him now in February’s Oscar show, big orchestra behind him, Adam in a cool yet classy rocker tuxedo, hair slicked back. Blowing the roof off the Kodak Theater.

  263. OK, I guess Brian May might just know what he’s talking about.
    Oh
    My
    God

LOLOLOLOL… copying Gibbs from NCIS…. “You think McGee??!!”

  264. Can’t wait to hear the rest of it. I can just see him now in February’s Oscar show, big orchestra behind him, Adam in a cool yet classy rocker tuxedo, hair slicked back. Blowing the roof off the Kodak Theater.

    Oh, please, yessssss!

  265. I’m a little confused, where is everyone getting that MJ and Jim C don’t like it? I thought MJ was complimentary in her writeup on the initial audio-only leak, and the only thing from Jim C I saw was his tweet:

jambajim: Hmmm….I need to wait until the whole @adamlambert song comes out. First part sounds like Bon Jovi to me. Chorus sounds SICK though. Weeee!

ETA: Not that they have to like it, but neither of them slam it or anything. Am I missing something?

  266. Love it, esp. in this video clip. Yeah, it’s in the family of ‘Don’t want to Miss a Thing.’ I think it’s going to be a big mainstream hit! Be still my heart!

  267. sidewalkstory you got it. BTW, I went over to the house but could not open the door; the key doesn’t work. Are you (or anthro or anyone else) having this problem?

  268. i am speechless.

    wow

all I can think is :

    holy f$&k

    woah

y’all know my excited posts exclamation marks squeeees and flailing jumping crying and shaking but wow the way I feel right now exceeds that

    just.wow.

  269. hwc, you are sooo right. As Quentin Tarantino said: I only got a taste of it (BTBW), but I liked the taste.

Which is kind of icky, when you think about it.

And luv, it IS all about you and your educational betterment. :)

Def check out EW this week, for story about Kradison (thumbs up) and other Idols (thumbs down, unfortunately). Oh, and Simon is smiling at the $$$ he’s making.

    October 9, 2009 at 8:52 pm

No, Emo, key works for me, but Uh,,,I’ve been locked in for a few hours, though lots of peeps are coming and going.

  271. Y’all like that pic of Adam on Yahoo Rocks? It’s from early Idol (post emo!adam audition). Nope, not for me. I like Adam in the video. Hot.

  272. Neither of them slam it or anything. Am I missing something?

Did someone say they slammed it? I can’t wade through all the posts but I thought the comment was they both thought it was ‘meh.’ Far from saying they slammed, but I could be wrong.

  273. Can’t wait to hear the rest of it. I can just see him now in February’s Oscar show, big orchestra behind him, Adam in a cool yet classy rocker tuxedo, hair slicked back. Blowing the roof off the Kodak Theater.

That’s a good point. What with ratings being down and all, the Oscar folk may have to give this one the nod just ot be able to feature Lambert signing the thing live. You know that would be epic.

  274. I can’t wait to hear more of the verse as well as the chorus. Sung in that velvet voice of his. Like the way he sounds on the final ‘us’.

  275. Just got home…listened to the 30 second clip first…almost peed my pants ’cause it wasn’t at all what I was expecting and was mildly dissapointed. Then listened to the video clip…now I can breath!! I really like it and think it is perfect for the end of the world disaster flick.

If Adam wasn’t around who would they get to sing this…there aren’t a lot of male “rock” voices left that can go this high and still stay on pitch and sound good. I’m sure there are a lot of peeps associated with the movie who are glad Adam showed up.

By the way..the lyrics are utter “movie” cheese just like most of the big booming rock ballads out there that have been done for movies. But it sure doesn’t stop the vocalist from getting his pipes around the notes and melody.

I must say that if the online media is being so quick to pick this up that Adam really must touch a chord with a lot of people. They seem to really like the guy and are really rooting for him to succeed. You can’t buy that kind of endorsement…it’s got to come from the heart.

  276. I thought MJ and Jim’s opinion were favorable, I didn’t take it as not liking it.

  277. I hooked up the IPOD to the big screen and the surround sound. It’s even better. I think we have a winner. I can’t wait to hear the rest of it.

  278. I love it!! I was in such a funk today but anything concerning Adam just seems to lift my mood. :)

  279. It may be both, I think. I thought I heard ‘love’ in the audio-only version, and ‘us’ at the end of the video clip version. Maybe it switches in the song?

Maybe he sings “love” when his Mom is in the house and he wears his hair Emo, and he sings “us” when Drake is in the shouse and he wears his hair “Elvis” …

    Woman, he’s just a back door man…………….

  280. I can’t wait to hear the whole song. Adam’s voice gives me chills. Love it!

  281. jambajim: Hmmm’ ¦.I need to wait until the whole @adamlambert song comes out. First part sounds like Bon Jovi to me

    .

Yep. No question about it. The very first thing that popped into my mind when I heard this clip was Bon Jovi.

I think jambajim has been watching too much MTV. Bon Jovi? Bon Jovi? I can’t stop laughing. I can’t brreath… that’s hilarious. Bon Jovi? Why not the New Christie Minstrels? I mean, what the hell?

  282. And another good review from moviefone.ca

Lambert’s spine-tingling — and never-pitchy, dawg — vocals provide the perfect musical accompaniment to scenes of cities blowing up, international landmarks crumbling like sandcastles, the ocean swallowing Hollywood, and divorced dad John Cusack racing around the globe to save his ex-wife (Amanda Peet) and their fam from the Mayan-predicted apocalypse on Dec. 21, 2012.

    http://www.moviefone.ca/2009/10/09/adam-lambert-time-for-miracles-music-video-2012-movie/#

  283. Jim C’s latest tweet:

jambajim Gahhh I’m out to dinner and apparently there’s an @adamlambert #timeformiracles video clip up?!!! Sorry for not reacting but I’m w/ friends!
    2 minutes ago from UberTwitter

  284. I used to hate that kind of big bombastic rock ballad stuff, but I’ve really been getting into it here lately. Especially if the vocals kill. That’s what a song like that showcases. It’s good for Adam to get this mainstream exposure too. That future Oscar nomination for the song (though for the songwriter) doesn’t hurt either. Now if Adam starts singing Jim Steinman (remember that writer for Meatloaf?), we’ve got a problem with Adam’s marketability!

  285. BTW, I went over to the house but could not open the door; the key doesn’t work. Are you (or anthro or anyone else) having this problem?

EmoElvis, House? I’m floating in space right now.

  286. If Adam wasn’t around who would they get to sing this’ ¦

    DAUGHTRY?

  287. I’m sure Cantiello will have more to say about it once he figures out how to slip some Kris flailing into the story ;)

I think jambajim has been watching too much MTV. Bon Jovi? Bon Jovi? I can’t stop laughing. I can’t brreath’ ¦ that’s hilarious. Bon Jovi? Why not the New Christie Minstrels? I mean, what the hell?

Does MTV even still play music? LOL

I hooked up the IPOD to the big screen and the surround sound. It’s even better. I think we have a winner. I can’t wait to hear the rest of it.

Can you imagine in in Dolby digital? I might have to actually go see this movie for that.

  288. Did someone say they slammed it? I can’t wade through all the posts but I thought the comment was they both thought it was ‘meh.’

Oops, hyperbole on my part, but I read several comments saying either one or both “don’t like it.”

And “SICK” and “Weee!” from Jim C and “Good thing Adam Lambert has the vocal prowess to carry it off” along with some comments about the Bon Joviness and power balladiness of the song itself seem fairly complimentary, perhaps even a step above “meh,” while of course not all the way to “squee” like myself.

I guess I just think since the loss of the “See All” option on this blog, many people only go a couple pages back and the internet game of telephone is exacerbated, putting words into peoples mouths that they never said. I just didn’t want to see people start slamming on them as “Adam haters” or some crazy thing, since I don’t think that’s the case.

ETA: And maybe it struck me because I DID wade through the entire comment thread all at at once, since I came into this late, so it possibly stood out more for me.

  289. Here is another one….

    http://neonlimelight.com/2009/10/09/adam-lambert-talks-2012-single-time-for-miracles-in-new-video-preview/

“The producers for the upcoming end of the world flick 2012 must have had the same thought racing through their minds as I did when watching American Idol this season: Adam Lambert’s voice would work perfectly on a soundtrack. Judging by the new preview of the song Time For Miracles from the movie’s soundtrack, we were right!”

  290. If Adam wasn’t around who would they get to sing this’ ¦

    DAUGHTRY?

Ok now, let’s not be a buzz kill ;)

I thought MJ and Jim’s opinion were favorable, I didn’t take it as not liking it.

Well I think that Jim’s is more ‘hmmm, not really digging parts of it, some is nice, I’m going to wait and see,’ and mj’s was kind of keeping with my opinion, so of course she’s a genius! er, anyhew mj said

I mean, what’s a big budges disaster film without an over-wrought power ballad as its theme song? Heh. Good thing Adam Lambert has the vocal prowess to carry it off.

Which wasn’t a diss to me, but maybe I read it wrong and she hates it. I dunno. But I agree on all of that, it’s got some over wrought power ballady stuff going on and sounds like what I expected for that film and what it’s going to be used for. And she said Adam has vocal prowess, which I agree with and what for me, elevates the song. Well as much as it does. :)

  292. I don’t think this sounds at all like Bon Jovi…

But hey Jon Bon Jovi is one of the best rock singers ever IMO..so what’s wrong with that comparison? I mean he has sold like 110million albums or so..I would think any artist would be good with that!

jambajim: Hmmm’ ¦.I need to wait until the whole @adamlambert song comes out.

I can’t brreath’ ¦ that’s hilarious. Bon Jovi? Why not the New Christie Minstrels? I mean, what the hell?

    lmaooooooooo

  294. WOWser. Sony pictures is in on the trending and has just re-tweeted Adam from last night. They put their tags on the end!

@SonyPictures RT @AdamLambert: At Capitol studios observing full string orchestra recording for one of my songs!! It’s amazing!!!!! #2012 #TimeForMiracles

I wasn’t thinking that the string orchestra was for TFM, but now, I wonder.

  295. I know this is just a snippet but since when was it a good thing to sound like an idol coronation song? Not that I have anything against idol coronation songs but usually they get harshly criticized on these boards…This song probably would have had the same reaction that No Boundaries had at the finale. ’tis a strange world.

    DAUGHTRY?

ROTFLMAO….oh wait your serious..Oh Awkward!!! (J/K love Daughtry but he even said that male vocalist wish they could have Adam’s range and vocal control)

Love how now we think Adam can save the Oscars. lol! He can also save this movie’s box office, I bet.

  298. I’m sure Cantiello will have more to say about it once he figures out how to slip some Kris flailing into the story

Bahaaaaaaaaa! True true. I don’t think anyone thought MJ or Jim C slammed the song. They were just meh about it which was a different reaction than one or both of them gave to the some of the other idols. No slamming here! We are all floating on the clouds to slam anything right now.

  299. I wasn’t thinking that the string orchestra was for TFM, but now, I wonder.

It’s too late for the string orchestra to be for TFM. It must be a song from his album.

  300. @hwc, could you let me know what your usual showtimes are? I want to make shure I am tuned in here when you go on…..

    LMFAO.

  301. I’m not a big Bon Jovi aficionado, in fact the only song running through my head right now thinking about them is “It’s My Life” but it’s being sung by the Glee kids in my head so that doesn’t help.

But could it be something in that initial audio-only clip that pinged Bon Jovi for Jim, since he apparently hasn’t heard the much better video version?

  302. I flove the song so much that I stop caring what is other’s opinion on it. If you don’t like it, I’m sorry that there is one less song in the world that you can enjoy. Of course there are tons of other songs you will like :)

  303. Emo BTW, I went over to the house but could not open the door; the key doesn’t work. Are you (or anthro or anyone else) having this problem?

Try leaving, then unlocking the door and coming back in. That’s what I have to do sometimes.

  304. I wasn’t thinking that the string orchestra was for TFM, but now, I wonder.

It’s too late for the string orchestra to be for TFM. It must be a song from his album.

Could it be for the 2012 music video he shot on the streets last weekend? That’s less than a week from the video shoot to the strings in the studio.

  305. I wasn’t thinking that the string orchestra was for TFM, but now, I wonder.

I don’t think it was too late. During the bridge (that others have said – rightly – sounds a bit like Led Zep’s Kashmir) there is plenty of string orchestra work, at least to my ears. Perhaps that was the finishing touch they had to layer in before releasing the clips? Anyone else hear it?

And why would Sony Pictures retweet Adam’s tweet unless it was related. It’s got my vote as the song with the orchestra.

  307. Could it be for the 2012 music video he shot on the streets last weekend?

OMG……Adam singing this entire song in a video……*dies*

  308. OMG!!! I luv surprises. I never thought i could read both threads about TFM in lightning speed!!!! i’m not even sure if i understand anything thing i’ve just read (all i see are ‘a plenty of’… !!!!!!!… flailing… crying…, OMG’s… & squuuueeeeeings). Too much to digest for one day! Ooh, Adam you never fail to amaze me. I LUV IT! … and I don’t mild the chesse… ’cause I LIKE BLUECHEESE ANYWAY…AND THE VOCALS – freakin’ awesome as always). I’ve got a feelin’, this is gonna be a hit!

I need the whole 4.3614104341 minutes of the song…NOW!!!

  309. All kidding aside, I kinda feel like I did during the Idol season when we go that little 1 minute tease on the live show and then had to wait for the real version to be released on iTunes ‘” the version that had time to build like a proper song.

Good point; it is kind of like that.

  310. Long time lurker drawn out of hiding.

I absolutely love this song and as a big time sports fan want to mention how likely this is to be picked up by the sports promo people. I can see this being played everytime a cinderella team or player makes a run at a title. This is just the kind of song they love.

Also want to say thanks to all you regular contributors. I have been silently enjoying your lollypops and now cheese.

  311. Darling you could find me sitting next to the speakers opening night!I’m in tears kind of loving it!!!

  312. OK, I’m convinced that the strings were for the music video Adam shot on the streets. There was only 5 days between the shoot and the string session. Probably the right amount of time to finish the video before the session.

Two songs with a string orchestra?!! It’s not beyond imagination.

TFM must have been canned sometime ago, for it to be leaked today. The string is for the album. Besides Adam said it was for HIS song. This song is not his, it’s 2012’s soundtrack song.

  315. That’s a good point. What with ratings being down and all, the Oscar folk may have to give this one the nod just ot be able to feature Lambert signing the thing live. You know that would be epic.

Yes, that’s the only thing that will save the Oscar broadcast. Adam’s season of AI lost ratings, but him singing a cheesastic rock ballad crica 1983 is going to save the movie industry.

I think a more tamer prediction is that people will be singing along to this in their car (*cough*) than that this will save the Oscars telecast. I think their plan to nominate 10 movies will help more.

In other news, Adam is in great voice. The song is a classic example of its genre and gets the job done. It’s nice to hear some new music.

Welcome “Wild at Heart”. You make a good point. I can see it on all the sports shows. This is going to be big during the play offs.

  318. Okay, so I knew it was a movie “anthem” but still couldn’t get past the cheese factor without having visuals. I would still never buy it for listening, but for the movie, magnifico.

  319. For those of you thinking the orchestra was for this song…NOPE. This has been in the can for weeks…Adam recorded it before the tour and Brian May heard it way back then. Besides it played last night at the press tour in Jackson Hole (loves me some Jackson Hole…best watering spots in the world..and awesome artwork for sale…and lots of famous people wandering around).

Did any of you notice that the house with the white picket fence is very similar to the house where Adam was filming his video clip for the song.

  320. Did any of you notice that the house with the white picket fence is very similar to the house where Adam was filming his video clip for the song.

Not until you mentioned it. It will be a good tie in for the video.

  321. Did any of you notice that the house with the white picket fence is very similar to the house where Adam was filming his video clip for the song.

Yes! It was the second thing I noticed. I’m sure the fiull video will have scenes of Cusack and family on that street and Adam singing on that street. It should be a real tear jerker.

They used TOML for the Summer Olympics last year so you never know. They do tend to go for these types of songs.

  323. I know I’m in the minority, but I don’t really care for it. Way too much screaming which was actually the part of Adam’s performances that just didn’t do anything for me at all. However, it looks like it is perfect for the movie. I hope it does well.

Well I’m right there with ya. Not impressed.

  324. Homework for Luv:
    1. If the 1.5 minute TFM video version is x times better than the 30 second audio version, how much better the will the 4.5 minute audio version be?

    Extra credit
    2. How much better will the music video be?

  325. I know this is just a snippet but since when was it a good thing to sound like an idol coronation song?

Since it’s a cheezy disaster movie (aren’t they all?) I would expect lots of cheese with the song. But it’s the vocal that sets it apart.

  326. Hey All- very rarely post here but always read the goings on with popcorn.

Thanks for posting this MJ! You’ve been a Godsend throughout the whole Idol season and afterwards.

Love the little snippet and can’t wait for the whole song. His voice is epic but I also love watching him at the beginning in the studio and behind the mic. Love how he waves his hand up and down at the beginning, like he’s giving direction or something.

Back to popcorn and reading, and trying to find my raingear. I know it’s here somewhere.

  327. Yes, that’s the only thing that will save the Oscar broadcast. Adam’s season of AI lost ratings, but him singing a cheesastic rock ballad crica 1983 is going to save the movie industry.

Actually Kirsten, imo, the ratings for this year’s AI season would have been far lower had it not been for Adam. I’ll be curious to see how it fares in S9.

  328. Of course I tweeted Aimee. She and I are like *this*. ;)

    LOL
I actually deleted my tweet to michelle, gotta word it better and stuff.

David Cassidy tweeted the recording session with the string orchestra was for Adam’s recording of one of David’s songs. So that means it’s a different song.

Tony: So is this a faux coronation song? Sure sounds like it.

A bit but it sounds just like a movie soundtrack song to me — big sound, pop song — exactly what I expected. And, if Adam wasn’t available to sing it, I guess they could have gotten a female vocalist to sing it.

  330. In other news, Adam is in great voice. The song is a classic example of its genre and gets the job done. It’s nice to hear some new music.

OK, I’m convinced that the strings were for the music video Adam shot on the streets. There was only 5 days between the shoot and the string session. Probably the right amount of time to finish the video before the session.

He tweeted one of my songs meaning his album. The music video used the song which was mixed already. You don’t do this for a video you use a recorded song with the video over it. He stated that some of the songs written for his album are ballads and Red one said a couple are Queenish so strings fit right in.

  333. For those of you thinking the orchestra was for this song’ ¦NOPE. This has been in the can for weeks’ ¦

Tess, are you mixing up the trailer with the music video Adam was shooting over the weekend? That was less than a week ago and that is what I think the strings are for – a free-standing music video for the song; one that is not part of any trailer.

  334. @SonyPictures RT @AdamLambert: At Capitol studios observing full string orchestra recording for one of my songs!! It’s amazing!!!!! #2012 #TimeForMiracles

I didn’t see the tweet. MAybe I was wrong, Maybe the string orchestra is for TFM after all. I’m a little sadz now, was so hoping for album Muse style orchestral rock.

  335. I absolutely love this song and as a big time sports fan want to mention how likely this is to be picked up by the sports promo people. I can see this being played everytime a cinderella team or player makes a run at a title. This is just the kind of song they love.

Wild at Heart, good one! Those rock/sports anthems make tons of money over the years!! (P.S. Now that you’re out of the closet, enjoy the storm and stick around awhile!).

  336. A bit but it sounds just like a movie soundtrack song to me ‘” big sound, pop song ‘” exactly what I expected. And, if Adam wasn’t available to sing it, I guess they could have gotten a female vocalist to sing it.

Yeah, I don’t think Adam’s worried about coronations anymore, if he ever was.

His voice in this song is amazing, perfect for the type of song it is.

  337. I know I’m in the minority, but I don’t really care for it. Way too much screaming which was actually the part of Adam’s performances that just didn’t do anything for me at all. However, it looks like it is perfect for the movie. I hope it does well.

Luckily some us love his high register singing as well as his lower register. Maybe there will be something on his album that you can enjoy too :)

  338. For the record, I do like rock. (More importantly to the music industry, I buy a lot of music, including a fair amount of rock.) I just don’t like this song.

  339. So is this a faux coronation song? Sure sounds like it

well it was a faux competition, was it not?

  340. Adam was definitely the best thing going on Idol last season but, judging by that clip, that song is hardly anything wonderful.

  341. I’m liking what I hear from the snippet .. very Queen meets Aerosmith but distictively Adam Lambert.

The big instrumental blast thingy bit in the middle of the clip reminds me of Queen’s “Flash”

  342. OK, but my question remains ‘“ why would Sony Pictures retweet Adam’s tweet about the orchestra and drop in the #timeformiracles and #2012 trending topics? Just because they felt like it? They could have just thrown his @adamlambert into a tweet about the song clip. It just seems odd to me to piggyback on his orchestra tweet if it had nothing to do with the film (or the music video).

ETA: nvm, read Q3’s response. But wait – David Cassidy?

  343. Give me a break. I think that the only songs they play are one’s that are nominated and I don’t think that’s happened yet.

LOL. I was trying to be sarcastic. And failing. I agree with you. Predictions of this song saving the Oscar telecast is a tad premature. Although, I suppose that…er…enthusiasm… can be forgiven after such a long drought of new songs.

The song may very well be nominated (I’m never sure what qualifies so who knows what the competition is), but there is a lot that goes into the ratings of an Oscar telecast.

  344. DLee
    October 9, 2009 at 9:48 pm
Maybe Idol can use it as the exit song next season’ ¦.

LOL.. Sounds like just the song

  345. Yes, that’s the only thing that will save the Oscar broadcast. Adam’s season of AI lost ratings, but him singing a cheesastic rock ballad crica 1983 is going to save the movie industry. Well, I can’t speak for anyone else, but I was kidding. Fan enthusiasm was fully recognized for what it was in my posts. However, I really can see him doing the performance in front of the orchestra. That would be epic. I’m joking about saving the Oscars ratings and movie box office, but hey, I’m sure that every little bit helps when promotion is involved.

Agree that he’s in excellent voice.

  346. It’s hard to judge by such a small part of the song, but I’m not liking it at all. I hope the rest of the song is better.

  347. ‘I ain’t giving up on US’.

I agree! I think it’s us. I can hear the “s” and us makes sense with the storyline.

  348. Ok guys – I’m back, and still shaking from the epic excitedness of FIANLLY getting our Adam leak :-) Of course, it would have to happen JUST as RL came crashing down upon me – argh, such is life.

Ok, I know the song is cheestastic in a feel good, distaster movie epic sorta way. But DAMN – his voice is so freaking hot on that track! LOVE it! Yeah, he could sing just about anything (especially in that epic ballad sorta way) and just completely give me chills.

  349. Nope they aren’t rerecording the song for Adam’s video. Wasted, wasted expense. He’ll be lip syncing (like they do in almost all videos) so that the music is the same as that on the soundtrack.

Besides Adam said for “one of his songs”. He has ALWAYS referred to TfM as the song HE DID for a movie soundtrack.

I’ll bet my life that this bit in the video clip we are seeing was done a long time ago. Things in record land don’t work as fast as people think they do. Besides, if the soundtrack has a lot of instrumentals only…they don’t keep calling orchestra session musicians back….everything was probably recorded at about the same time.

I may be totally off base…but someone would have to prove me wrong.

  350. OK, but my question remains ‘“ why would Sony Pictures retweet Adam’s tweet about the orchestra and drop in the #timeformiracles and #2012 trending topics? Just because they felt like it? They could have just thrown his @adamlambert into a tweet about the song clip. It just seems odd to me to piggyback on his orchestra tweet if it had nothing to do with the film (or the music video).

yep. It would have been much easier for them to just make a new tweet rather than track Adam’s tweet down to use. There’s a connection otherwise they wouldn’t have used it.

Again, the timing of last weekend’s music video shoot is just right for the studio session.

And Adam calling it “his song” is OK too. He sang it, his name has it’s own line in the credits. It’s “his”.

  351. David Cassidy tweeted the recording session with the string orchestra was for Adam’s recording of one of David’s songs. So that means it’s a different song.

Q3 – can you post that tweet?

  352. I’m liking what I hear from the snippet .. very Queen meets Aerosmith but distictively Adam Lambert.

Yes – I think this is a really good way to describe it. SOOO glad you can actually tell it’s his voice on the track (though I guess there was less fear of autotune happening on this track than of some of his album singles.)

  353. And Adam calling it ‘his song’ is OK too. He sang it, his name has it’s own line in the credits. It’s ‘his’ .

No, Adam has always referred to the soundtrack song as separate from his music. In every interview he has been clear to make that distinction. Even in the interview from the passive/aggressive girl.

  354. I’ll bet my life that this bit in the video clip we are seeing was done a long time ago.

Tess, you are still mixing up two separate videos. The one we saw today was in the studio. And yes, it was done a while back.

The one he did last weekend was on the street and is separate. Remember the Korean girl said he had a 5 o’clock shadow? Is it coming back to you? That’s the music video I am talking about.

  355. Here is the only David Cassidy Tweet on the string orchestra

Right on! RT @capitolstudios @adamlambert Capitol studios observing full string orchestra recording for one of my songs!! It’s amazing!!!!!

  356. Nope they aren’t rerecording the song for Adam’s video. Wasted, wasted expense. He’ll be lip syncing (like they do in almost all videos) so that the music is the same as that on the soundtrack.

I agree with Tess. I’ve never heard of a video being shot before the music track was completed. The song’s been in the can for a long time, there’s no way they’d get so close to release that they’re filming a video for it and then re-cut the song or add any music to it. The orchestra has to be for another song from his CD. And to be clear, I mean the vid shot in the street in the Korean ‘hood.

  357. Left work and wanted to come home and pick up where I left off, but of course real life got in the way. Just wanted to say THANK YOU to SAGA, JANUS, and HEART for your imput and links for downloading the vids. Going to give it a shot and wish me luck! And thank you SUNN for the download link for the MP4.

  358. Adam sounds great. The song doesn’t sound particularly current to me, but it’s good to hear him on some new stuff. When does this movie come out? I saw the preview at the theater with my friend and it looks reeeeeally bad. The song is probably better than the movie. LOL.

  359. Wait- i haven’t had time to go through both threads. Are we talking David Cassisy David Cassidy? As in Partridge Family?

And I am glad that I heard the video clip first because that audio clip would have really bummed me out. THAT sounded like a coronation song, but once those hard rocking instrumentals kicked in on the video and Adam layered his voice like that, WOW. I just have one thing to say to anyone who says THAT snippet sounds like a coronation song- You are F’in crazy.

  360. I love this song so much. Adam did an amazing job on it and the it’s not a cover song and they didn’t auto-tune Adam’s voice so you can’t recognize him. All is so good.

  361. Besides Adam said for ‘one of his songs’ . He has ALWAYS referred to TfM as the song HE DID for a movie soundtrack.

I agree. I don’t think the string orchestra deal was for this. I think TFM has been a done deal for awhile.

And Adam (like everyone else) would be lip syncing – you do not sing live for a music video. My friend makes them and they always lip sync.

  363. why would adam be watching the orchestra if it was for time for miracles? just dont see him partcipating so much in this song, it was certainly finished some time ago. He is much more engaged in his album.

  364. I agree with Tess 100%. The full string orchetsra, last night, was for one of his songs on his album. not TFM. I am thinking that this video clip probably showed in Jacksonhole last night too.

  365. Who owns the rights to this song – Sony or RCA? Under what terms would Adam be allowed to sing it live in the future?

  366. maybe the sonypictures retweet is as simple as Adam being such a fantastic person to work with they are helping him promote his own music? Cross promotion only helps them too IMO.

He said one of his songs, meaning one from his album, because if it were for TFM he would’ve specified that, like he did for the video.

Wait- i haven’t had time to go through both threads. Are we talking David Cassisy David Cassidy? As in Partridge Family?

    No, different David Cassidy.

  368. I don’t know about Idol TV ratings but I know the concerts sold well in a very terrible economy….I believe most of that has to be attributed to the Glittery Alien. I also think the ratings would have been much worse without Adam on the show. Quite frankly, I don’t think Idol will be the same but then I never watched it before so that’s just my opinion. Also, I don’t think he will save the Oscars but you have to give the boy some credit where it is due. The fact that he has the main song on a major movie soundtrack right after Idol was completed, and being the runner-up not the winner, is a pretty cool accomplishment.

  369. Here is the David Cassidy tweet regarding the orchestra recording sessions.

Right on! RT @capitolstudios @adamlambert Capitol studios observing full string orchestra recording for one of my songs!! It’s amazing!!!!!

    Name David Cassidy
Bio National Geographic, architecture, acoustics, music, pro audio, and recording studios Nope, I’m not Katie’s dad. : ) I’m the other David Cassidy.

And he is NOT the “I Think I Love You David Cassidy”.

  370. Who owns the rights to this song ‘“ Sony or RCA? Under what terms would Adam be allowed to sing it live in the future?

I would expect Sony. I have no idea about the rights or if there is some sharing agreement. Maybe Adam will have to pay royalties to sing the song.

  371. I would expect Sony. I have no idea about the rights or if there is some sharing agreement. Maybe Adam will have to pay royalties to sing the song.

I can’t see Adam having to pay to sing a song that he sings on a CD LOL that would be kind of silly.

  372. Hey this is all so fab – I noticed the white picket fence also. Good catch. 50 times now and still listening.

  373. I didn’t think Bon Jovi or coronation song when I heard this (I don’t like either). I really like this though. I like how this gives us something extra besides his album too. I hope the string orchestra is for a song on his album, that would be amazing! As for TFM, I can’t wait to hear the whole song and see the video.

I can’t wait until the guys at DigitalDreamDoor guys get this song! They are going to die.

Oops. I already posted the video link there :D

wiredforsound, are you aware that Paul McCartney has to pay royalties to sing Hey Jude after Michael Jackson bought the rights?

LOL. You’re so good. Can’t wait to hear what they have to say about his voice in this song.

  377. are you aware that Paul McCartney has to pay royalties to sing Hey Jude after Michael Jackson bought the rights?

I now understand the falling out between the two of them. That’s batshit crazy to have to pay to sing your own songs. Rights are rights, but there’s got to be a better way to treat your friends than that…

  378. Reminder:

Lets stick to discussing Adam, the song and the video. Remember, this isn’t a private Adam Lambert chat thread. Everyone is reading here–and can post here.

I deleted the baiting and fan-warrish stuff.

  379. Some may hate the lyrics, melody, instrumentals, drama, etc. If this song is not a failure, it is Adam’s incredible vocals saving it.

  380. This was an epic night. I have to listen more on the big screen. Thank you Adam. You delivered big time. I am so glad you auditoned for AI and didn’t give up on your dream.

I will continue watching your dream come true. Night folks.

  381. I think it’s ‘I ain’t giving up on us’.

I believe with all my heart we’ll be seeing you all the way to the end…to the finals..–Paula Abdul.

    And in the movies

    And in concert

    And on TV

    And on Tour

    And everywhere.

    Good night, readon.

  382. Okay, so…

I have listened to the song, I don’t know, about 50 times now. I cannot get it out of my head.

I do not care about the lyrics or the orchestration (this isn’t from HIS album). I do not care about the movie (tho I would like it to do well, naturally).

I care about that voice, that low register, the higher one, the falsetto, the glory notes, all of it. It just makes me happy. So happy.

And the reviews to date are good, too!!! Wait till we get all 4 minutes, 23 seconds of it. :)

  383. Adam doesn’t sound like anyone else…didn’t we just say how unique his vocals are..you hear one note and you know it’s Adam. It’s a full out kick ass OTT rock malestorm. It sounds to me just the way he said it would, nothing less and a whole lot more..thank god (thank Rock God). I can for sure see him at the Kodak, in a beautiful black Cavalli (sp) jacket and jeans and rhinestones on his eyes bitches just bringing tears to their eyes and the house completely down. He has the balls and the talent to do just that. EVERYONE KNOWS IT !!!! Come on peeps…industry folks look at him, have watched him this past year and they are going OMFG…he is the REAL DEAL…..like a rock savant that doesn’t have a limit to his talent and fearlessness to push the envelope. But the truly AMAZING thing about Adam that makes him so mesmerizing is the realization that he just knows what makes the song great….give him any song and he will make it amazing. Case in point…that turd of a song NO BOUNDIARIES…listen to his studio recording…..first class. Had he won….that song would be a hit for sure. So yes, TFM is EPIC, but that is what is called for here….it’s the end of the F>>>>> world for God’s sake, nothing less will do and who is the voice to deliver that……well he just won second place on AI. He doesn’t have a hit record out yet but ah look around….who else would do it better? Daughtry? Don’t kid yourself. It would sound like everyother song he does and he doesn’t have the range..that’s the point…no one does and that is why they asked Adam to do it. He delivered epic vocals on an epic rock ballad for the end of the world as we know it. But let’s keep it real…It’s a gig and great one. He just paid for his new house and I for one could not be happier…hope he gets the dimmers he wants. I’m loving this song and can’t wait to hear the entire thing and completely comfortable that his album will be totally different and sexy and soooooo Adam. As a matter of fact, that is one of the things that is so sexy about him, his ability to touch your heart and soul with his voice regardless of the genre. Everyone just needs to acknowledge that about him, sit back, and hang on for the ride.

  384. I don’t care if MJ, Jim, Joe, Dick or Harry showed no enthusiam for the
    song. Doesn’t phase me.

I love it. Killer vocals. Perfect for a theme song for a disaster flick.

  385. His voice is INCREDIBLE! Remember everyone, this is not from his album… he did this for a MOVIE. I love Adam and he has changed my life…

  386. SueBrody, Yeah that’s exactly how I feel. It’s as simple as listening to him always makes me happy!

  387. Kirsten: Yes, that’s the only thing that will save the Oscar broadcast. Adam’s season of AI lost ratings, but him singing a cheesastic rock ballad crica 1983 is going to save the movie industry.

I think that no one knows if Adam will be at the Oscars, just as no one knows what the ratings on AI8 would have been if Adam hadn’t been on that season. But it is interesting that people are very quick to throw out the 2009 vs 2008 American Idol ratings decline as a knock on Adam but fail to mention that in 2008 American Idol was one of the few new shows on the air because of the Writer’s Strike. AI7 had 8 weeks on air before the first newly written show was back on against it.

A white paper released by Nielsen Media Research on April 2, 2008 showed that … during the months of the strike (November 2007 through February 2008) the average primetime ratings for that time period declined by 6.8%.

Fox executive Peter Chernin suggested the strike is “probably a positive” for the network, as he expected its non-WGA reality hit American Idol to do especially well given reduced competition.</blockquote>

  388. wiredforsound, are you aware that Paul McCartney has to pay royalties to sing Hey Jude after Michael Jackson bought the rights?

GTFO! I did not know that. that’s F’d up but that was MJs choice right? He charged him whereas Sony might not because Adam singing the song is promo for the song.

  389. OH yes. I liked the restrained 30 second clip well enough, but THIS is epic Adam. You have no idea how happy I am to come home to this. Fiannly Adam indeed!!!

Besides how ecstatic I am to finally hear this and love it, I’m also surprised because it sounds more contemporary than I thought it would be. Which is good, very good. Hopefully it means it can get radio play.

Guys, I’m just so relieved right now. I was worried I wouldn’t like TFM since the title leaked. Well, surprise surprise, the lyric is a LOT less cheesy sounding in the context of the song, Adam’s voice is in the forefront, and I’m a very happy fan right now. Can’t wait for the album single release.

  390. Sunn, so, whatcha think of it? Didja like it? :) Finally, right?

I cannot believe he would have to pay royalties to sing the song, b/c MJ bought the Beatles collection, but no one BOUGHT Sony/RCA…right? Am I missing something here? And Adam didn’t WRITE the song, he SANG it. I would suspect that he would need permission to sing it, but it’s different than with ToML, which was written FOR David Cook (or whoever won Idol S7) and licensed by 19/RCA and was part of his album. Again, perhaps I am mistaken.

I think last night’s recording was NOT for TFM, b/c it was already completed, and I can’t see him lauding a song that he had done the video for already (last week, Pirate Face!Adam), and that was, as far as I know, completed. That would be for one of Aimee Mayo, sorry, his songs. ;)

I will write to Michelle Collins. She is awesome. No word from Aimee. Hrrm. Gotta say, Adam had a better day on Twitter than Michael Sarver did.

  391. His voice is INCREDIBLE! Remember everyone, this is not from his album‘ ¦ he did this for a MOVIE. I love Adam and he has changed my life’ ¦

Some keep saying this and I ask, how do you know? How do you know there aren’t similar songs on his album? Not that it would matter to me, because I would love them, but to some of you I think it would be the end of the world.

  392. Planet Fierce, you are choking me up. Tears of joy.

Oh, me too, me too. Thank you.

  393. Sony might not because Adam singing the song is promo for the song.

No one gives anything away. I’m sure there’s something specific in the contract as to the obligations of each party.

  394. Yes, just as I expected I’ve been listening and rewatching this short short snippet a gazillion times in a row tonight! I really love the sound in the vid! Just what I expected really – big, sweeping epic-y sound. Even from the brief clip the orchestration sounds rich and strong.

And it is indeed Adam’s AMAZING voice that makes that epicness even more epic! He can just pull it off, with such ease, and make it sound so beautiful!

Cannot WAIT to hear (and see) the full versions!!

  395. Ok, I’ve been around a long time. Like everyone from Sinatra to Stones,
Beatles, all kinds of music. But what I love is a strong powerful song that has feeling. I loved Robbie Williams My Way. It’s the power and emotion that get me. That is what I hear in this song.

  396. clearone: Some keep saying this and I ask, how do you know? How do you know there aren’t similar songs on his album? Not that it would matter to me, because I would love them, but to some of you I think it would be the end of the world.

If you listen to Linsdey Parker’s interview with Adam from the end of the tour, Adam was very specific that TfM was not representative of what his album will be like. He was very specific about distinguishing between the two types of music.

ETA: Here is the interview — Talks about TfM starting at -2:30 and compares it to his album starting around -1:00.

    http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/realityrocks/272660/adam-lambert-the-end-of-tour-interview/

  397. Some keep saying this and I ask, how do you know? How do you know there aren’t similar songs on his album? Not that it would matter to me, because I would love them, but to some of you I think it would be the end of the world.

Well, the use of the orchestra on at least one track makes me think there will likely be something a little similar to TFM on his album – big sweeping ballad song.

And I’m an Adam fan, who, loving his voice, and loving SO many different sides of Adam, would be absolutely thrilled to have both electronic, dance pop music, with a little rock, and a big sweeping ballad all thrown into the mix (along with some gregorian chants for good measure :-))

ETA: Just saw the above quote from an Adam interview about how TfM is NOT indicative of his album music (forgot about that…) and I do believe that that makes sense, but, judging from the use of orchestra on at least one track, I’m still standing by a belief that something a little MORE similar to TfM will make it’s way to the album)

  398. Oh, Planet Fierce. So wonderful. As is Adam.

I still do not think his album will sound like this track at all–tho perhaps one or two tunes will.

I think we will get songs that sound like:

    RoF (ala Zodiac Show)
Mad World (one ballad, two, tops)
    Starlight (or something by Muse)
    GaGa (consider, RedOne)
Perhaps something with a slight alt/country feel (AIMEE MAYO, lol)
Maybe middle of the road pop, ala Coldplay
Some 80s feel (ala Depeche Mode)
One ELO, etal song (string orchestra)
    Club remixes
Perhaps out and out rock (WLL)

There could be a rock anthem, but I think this is it.

  399. Come on peeps’ ¦industry folks look at him, have watched him this past year and they are going OMFG’ ¦he is the REAL DEAL’ ¦..like a rock savant that doesn’t have a limit to his talent and fearlessness to push the envelope.

^^^This! Awesome post! The last part is what makes Adam so interesting and current. I can’t wait to see what else he has in store for us!

  400. The somewhat “cheesy/coronation song” type lyrics that we hear in the short snippet doest bother me as that’s what I was expecting for a movie soundtrack song . . especially for one that runs over the credits … for me, for you dawg, from what I’ve heard it’s the perfect song for a movie like this … a one that’s very commercial and has a hook that you can’t get out of your head and you go out the cinema singing it and you’re still singing it by the time you get home …. that’s what the movie makers want .. they don’t want you to be leaving the cinema disecting the deep and meaningful lyrics wondering about all the different possible interpretations of what the lyric are trying to portray .. they just want a catchy lyric and powerful sound that will still be ringing in someone’s ears when they get into bed and they’re still singing the next day.

It’s working for me as I can’t stop humming and singing it …lol

  401. I think we will get songs that sound like:

    RoF (ala Zodiac Show)
Mad World (one ballad, two, tops)
    Starlight (or something by Muse)
    GaGa (consider, RedOne)
Perhaps something with a slight alt/country feel (AIMEE MAYO, lol)
Maybe middle of the road pop, ala Coldplay
Some 80s feel (ala Depeche Mode)
One ELO, etal song (string orchestra)
    Club remixes
Perhaps out and out rock (WLL)

There could be a rock anthem, but I think this is it.

OK – I actually really really like this break down :-) I know we talked before about having an eclectic album, but for me, with my tastes in music literally ALL over the map (touching upon just about everything you mention above), and as someone who gets way too bored listening to most albums all the way through because every song starts sounding the same, I would really really love it if the tracks broke down like this.

  402. I am a disaster movie finatic. I have watched every earthquake, volcano, tornado, hurricane, asteroid, metorite, tsunami, and Godzilla movie that has ever been made. I love those movies and there is always a hero to save the day and the hero always need this cheesy ballad to play while he’s doing his thing. Adam’s vocals is so perfect for this type of movie. The first thing I thought of was Aerosmith, he reminds me so much of Steven Tyler. They couldn’t have chosen a better person to bring this song to life.

  403. clearone: Some keep saying this and I ask, how do you know? How do you know there aren’t similar songs on his album? Not that it would matter to me, because I would love them, but to some of you I think it would be the end of the world.

If you listen to Linsdey Parker’s interview with Adam from the end of the tour, Adam was very specific that TfM was not representative of what his album will be like. He was very specific about distinguishing between the two types of music.

….but even that was a month ago. He has done a lot of recording these past few weeks. All I’m saying is that people should be open to the possibility that there will probably be some songs on the album that they don’t feel are representative of Adam. I’m sure there will be some I don’t like. I’ve never listened to an album where I like every single song. As much input as I hope Adam has on the CD, he won’t have the final word on what the final tracklist is. We won’t know for sure until the tracklist is released. In the meantime, I’m just going to bask in glory that is TFM.

  404. Oh for the love of Christ – I spend all afternoon in traffic on 95 amd totally out of touch and finally log in on my Dad’s slow as hell computer and this CATEGORY 5 GLITTERCANE is released! I just assumed nothing would happen since it hasn’t for so long . . .what can I say . . I just love the song and he looks fantastic in the video. Yeah it’s big and a bit cheesy but in a great way. His voice is perfect for it. I really can’t think of anyone else who could even do it right now . Sebastian Bach maybe but I’m not sure he has the right emotional energy for it . .Steven Tyler when he was younger. Anyway I don’t have too much to say Planet Fierce, Sunn and Sue Brody have said it all. However, I couldn’t help myself from wanting to sing it to my boys going to bed – it’s just so beautiful . . .but they’d think I was crazy since I only know one line!!!

Good night guys. Way to go Adam. As the Farmer Blodgett said to Babe, That’ll do Adam. That’ll do.

  405. Here’s a preview of 2012 featuring Adam Lambert’s ‘Time for Miracles’ !

    OMG OMG OMG

I am so excited! Nothing like disaster images with Adam Lambert’s voice in the background to get all of us talking. Woohoo!

Do you think Rickey is being facetious (disaster movie with Adam Lambert’s voice in the background) or is actually excited about it? I can never tell. With mj, yes. Slezak, yes. Rickey, no.

ETA: Mary, I am available for album consultations. I am happy to take a meeting. ;)

  406. like a rock savant that doesn’t have a limit to his talent and fearlessness to push the envelope.

    I couldn’t agree more.

yeah I know I signed out, but somehow didn’t while I was doing my RL stuff and just had to respond to this. Bows to Planet Fierce.

  407. Do you think Rickey is being facetious (disaster movie with Adam Lambert’s voice in the background) or is actually excited about it? I can never tell. With mj, yes. Slezak, yes. Rickey, no.

    who cares?

  408. wiredforsound, are you aware that Paul McCartney has to pay royalties to sing Hey Jude after Michael Jackson bought the rights?

Wouldn’t that mean that Kris would have to pay royalities everytime he sings LLWD?

  409. Don’t ever think that Adam did this free of charge out of the kindness of his heart. I would love to see the contract. His first major role world wide. Adam posesses the money note as refered to in the industry only a few have/had that honor. Celine, Whitney and Barbara. Adam is a businessman and I am sure he covered all the bases to benifit his
agenda. TFM is totally seperate from his AI album. He will promote and has made the video for TFM, he may get a percentage of cd/dvd sales, we will nerver know the contents of his contract or if he got a straight up salary, for his vocal services. This should make Adam a very wealthly young man.

  410. Yes, Sue Brody!

I do not care about the lyrics or the orchestration (this isn’t from HIS album). I do not care about the movie (tho I would like it to do well, naturally).

I care about that voice, that low register, the higher one, the falsetto, the glory notes, all of it. It just makes me happy. So happy.

  411. Now I know why Dr Brian May was getting his weave in a tizzy over the song and Adam’s vocals … when I listen to it without watching the video I can soooo hear Freddie Mercury singing this song.

  412. this is so epic. omg i really want to hear the whole song. now
also please leak some of Adam’s album as well :P
    aaaaahhhhh

  413. This should make Adam a very wealthly young man.

I hope so. He needs to buy a house. Without cockroaches. And his mom needs a new one, too. ;)

Oh, such a perfect comment!! And so well earned by Richey!!

  416. ETA: Mary, I am available for album consultations. I am happy to take a meeting.

LOL – Awesome! You should SO do this :-)

  417. I totally thought of Adam’s performance of “Crying” when listening to this. Maybe all the talk of a soundtrack, IDWTMAT vibe sunk into my head. It’s a meh song that works perfectly to boom out over end credits after CGI crap was blown up. I’m sure the full song showcases Adam, and he showcases the heck out of the song.

What will Adam wear in the music video, and who directed it? Does that mean the video will be released on itunes – do people download both the single and the video, meaning is the audio much better on the single? Audiophiles, please let me know.

  418. Wouldn’t that mean that Kris would have to pay royalities everytime he sings LLWD?

He didn’t write it, did he? It would be a more suitable sad analog if Scripts need to pay royalties every time they sing LLWD.

  419. Yeah, I’ve been a lurker…hanging around in outer space, waiting for 2012 and the end of the world to come around….I have to say this, and then I too need to put my head on a pillow somewhere. Before AI this past season when I just happened to catch a glimpse of Adam while surfing, I hadn’t been connecting or enjoying music much on a regular basis. In a rut I guess, a little depressed with all the crap going on. I have been on this “planet” for awhile you see. But Adam has literally changed all of that. He has touched my soul with his music and I will never be the same and that is a very very good thing. Having TFM and his CD to look forward to (and the videos….oh GOD the videos) is just plain FUN and it is SO GOOD to have some fun. I am pretty sure that is just what he wants. Thanks Adam and now I am going to slide around to the darkside and get some sleep. Goodnight and thanks everyone!!!!

  420. Since this clip has been released the 2012 Soundtrack has moved up from the mid-900’s to #392 on Amazon.com — #19 on Movers & Shakers!

  421. Everyone keeps saying he’s singing ” ¦never give up on love’ I thought so too at first listening, but I think he’s really singing ‘never give up on US’ There’s a definite ‘sssssssssssss’ at the end of the song.

Anyone else hearing what I hear?

Yessssss, I hear it too. It’s definitely a different word at the very end. Not sure it’s “us” but it doesn’t sound like “love.”

  422. But it is interesting that people are very quick to throw out the 2009 vs 2008 American Idol ratings decline as a knock on Adam

I don’t think Kirsten’s post was a knock on Adam at all. There’s no proof that Adam’s run on Idol helped the ratings last year, that was her point. Idol has been declining in ratings since Season 5. No single Idol has been able to reverse that trend.

Me, too, and tomorow (Sat) SyFy Channel has most of those types of movies playing – I’m going to be in disaster flick heaven all day.

But, seriously, this song is all that a disaster flick producer could want and Adam’s vocals is just the whipped cream and cherry on top!

  424. Since this clip has been released the 2012 Soundtrack has moved up from the mid-900’s to #392 on Amazon.com ‘” #19 on Movers & Shakers!

I’m not planning to buy the whole album. Thanks god that they have TFM release seperately. Wonder if or when they will release the video.

  425. Wouldn’t that mean that Kris would have to pay royalities everytime he sings LLWD?

I would guess Kris pays royalties for LLWD in a way that is tied to sales of the album, not by performance.

wiredforsound, are you aware that Paul McCartney has to pay royalties to sing Hey Jude after Michael Jackson bought the rights?

Wouldn’t that mean that Kris would have to pay royalities everytime he sings LLWD?

Yes, but the main point is Paul McCartney has to pay a royalty FOR A SONG HE WROTE.

  427. I will write to Michelle Collins. She is awesome. No word from Aimee. Hrrm. Gotta say, Adam had a better day on Twitter than Michael Sarver did.

Oh thank you! And yes Michelle is awesome! It sucks that she couldn’t go to any of the AI tour stops (i assume that she didn’t cause she didn’t blog about it). If she had went and got a press pass?? Epic.

  428. Chiming in to say that Adam does sing “us” at the end of the clip.

Everyone keeps saying he’s singing ” ¦never give up on love’ I thought so too at first listening, but I think he’s really singing ‘never give up on US’ There’s a definite ‘sssssssssssss’ at the end of the song.

Anyone else hearing what I hear?

  429. This should make Adam a very wealthly young man.

I wonder if this isn’t some sort of straight deal where Adam only gets a flat fee.

  430. Yes, but the main point is Paul McCartney has to pay a royalty FOR A SONG HE WROTE.

Actually this was not the main point of how the discussion started a few pages back.

  431. Well, his voice might be technically perfect, but his tone isn’t that great. I agree that Daughtry doesn’t have the range, but Archie’s beautiful vocals, may be as perfect, but I think they would sound much more beautiful.

  432. MJ — I don’t think Kirsten’s post was a knock on Adam at all. There’s no proof that Adam’s run on Idol helped the ratings last year, that was her point. Idol has been declining in ratings since Season 5. No single Idol has been able to reverse that trend.

MJ — my point was that no one knows either way — about either alternative past history or about the future. But there is substantial consumer research support that 2008 American Idol got a significant ratings boost because of the Writer’s strike — so comparisions between 2008 Idol and 2009 Idol make little sense. IMO Idol’s ratings have less to do with individual contestant and more to do with the entire competition reality drama.

And certainly Idol’s ratings decline doesn’t mean that specific Idol alums will be unsuccessful just because there were 20 million viewers this year vs. 25 million in a past year. If there was a correlation, Taylor would be huge right now.

  433. Adam’s on Yahoo front page under intertainment!! Yea!!! Leads to Lindsay’s article.

  434. What is it about Adam that makes lurkers like me delurk? That little snippet is now stuck in my head!!! I can’t get it off…For weeks now, I’ve been waiting patiently, everyday surfing for news on Adam’s song, whether it be TFM or his single from his album. Came home and saw this blog. What a teaser!!! I need it now!!! But thanks MJ for posting this!!!

  435. DAUGHTRY sings like he is passing a kidney stone. He would suck singing this song, A Time for Miracles.

  436. sidewalkstory: I wonder if this isn’t some sort of straight deal where Adam only gets a flat fee.

Doubt that 19 would ever agree to a flat fee unless it was huge — and they would work to preserve their cut.

  437. Sydia, though I’m not a fan of Daughtry or Archuleta, I think they both have good voices. But maybe the film producers matched up persona as well. Adam + disaster film, i.e., stuff being blown up behind him for the music video, somehow makes sense. YMMV. From that Santa’s helper photo on Archuleta’s Christmas album, I can’t quite picture him tied to a disaster film. If TFM was sung by him but matched to a different film, yeah sure. I don’t know, maybe David Cook could have sung TFM for 2012 as well?

Yeah, the tone of Adam’s voice isn’t for everyone. He also can change the tone of his voice quite radically from song to song, which still mystifies me.

  438. Hmm… except for Adam’s voice, I’m not impressed with the clip. Not my kinda song. :-( Maybe I’ll change my mind after hearing the full song, but I hate power ballads.

  439. Thank you Adam for bringing so much joy to your fans. As someone said (don’t remember who) – may the Fierce be with you!

    And to all, a goodnight!

  440. The more I listen to the video the more in love I am with this song and Adam’s delivery of it.

He’s got that magic combination– velvet with an edge. Perfection with a tinge of raspiness.
A purely perfect voice without the little sandpapery edge would be too treacly.
A solely “rough-edged”voice would be, well, Daughtry.

Adam’s voice is like everything else about him– sublime, emotional, mesmerizing, and full of tantalizing contradictions.

  441. The topic was whether or not the Oscars would want to have Lambert sing this song, A Time for Miracles, on their TV show, viz-a-viz other artists who have movie songs this year. I do not believe that includes other Idols, certainly not from this year, so that’s irrelevant.

Does the Academy often give nods to music for crappy films? I have no idea. 2012 sounds like a crappy film.

  442. but Archie’s beautiful vocals, may be as perfect, but I think they would sound much more beautiful.

Archie does not have the power to sing TFM.

Doubt that 19 would ever agree to a flat fee unless it was huge ‘” and they would work to preserve their cut.

I have no idea on this one. However, since the song is for the movie and not part of RCA, I was thinking if there was some special arrangement.

  443. I don’t know, was Hustle & Flow considered a good film? I just want to hear the full song, in February come Oscar time, I’d like Adam to be on his worldwide tour, so screw the Oscars. He should be in Singapore or something, or hanging out in Berlin with Tokio Hotel. You know, promoting his album, not the crappy 2012 film beyond his duty of singing the song.

Do you think he’ll sing TFM at GMA?

  444. Hoorah! Hooray!

I’ve been out of the loop due to business travel for the last couple days…and look what I find!!!

    SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vid is awesome! Orchestra is obviously for an album song (vids are only shot once songs are in the can, guys!). Damn, hwc, I’ve missed your snark over the last few days!

Make my cheese extra sharp cheddar! I’ll put it on crackers while drinking a good white wine while looping my vid! (THX SUNN!!)

I don’t know, was Hustle & Flow considered a good film?

I liked it. But I didn’t think the song deserved an Oscar.

2012 may be a sucky film, we don’t really know yet, but TFM doesn’t suck. If it wins awards, good. I will enjoy it no matter what.

  446. Does the Academy often give nods to music for crappy films? I have no idea. 2012 sounds like a crappy film.

The song and the movie are judged independently.

  447. The Oscars have a TV show to produce. They would probably like it to be an entertaining show with performances that generate buzz. Who knows if this song is even eligible? I think it’s a pretty safe bet that their TV show director would love to have Lambert singing this song live.

  448. Adam was asked to sing the song. Get over it folks. Archie, Daughtry, Cook weren’t asked. They didn’t want our opinion. They thought Adam was best for the job. So he got the job and did a damn good job of singing it.

  449. DAUGHTRY sings like he is passing a kidney stone. He would suck singing this song, A Time for Miracles.

Eh, I like DAUGHTRY’s voice. I hate his material. I am hoping it won’t be the same with Adam.

  450. but Archie’s beautiful vocals, may be as perfect, but I think they would sound much more beautiful.

Archie does not have the power to sing TFM.

He really doesn’t, bless his cute little heart. What is it that happened with his vocal chord? He sounds so raspy.

  451. I don’t think Kirsten’s post was a knock on Adam at all. There’s no proof that Adam’s run on Idol helped the ratings last year, that was her point. Idol has been declining in ratings since Season 5. No single Idol has been able to reverse that trend.

Yes, that was my point. I don’t blame Adam for the lower ratings. It’s just part of the show aging. Reversing that trend would be notable.

A claim was made that Adam would reverse the trend of declining ratings on the Oscars. So I was just referring to that.

  452. The lyrics are trite, but I like the melody in the extended clip, and most awesomely (since the song itself isn’t on Adam’s album or anything), it does seem to work as a great showcase for Adam to let loose with his voice. He does sound fantastic.

Well, his voice might be technically perfect, but his tone isn’t that great. I agree that Daughtry doesn’t have the range, but Archie’s beautiful vocals, may be as perfect, but I think they would sound much more beautiful.

The pleasantness of a tone is probably the most subjective thing about a singer so I’m definitely not saying you should change your mind, but Adam’s tone is a huge, huge part of the reason I love his voice–after all, range without a beautiful andinteresting tone is just noise!

Adam’s tone is lovely and fascinating, so silvery and rich with an edge of rasp when he wants it. (And I’ve not heard much David A. stuff, but his voice does seem really pretty from what I have heard).

And that youtube video is funny. :) I could actually see LLWD being used in a Grey’s Anatomy episode, which is always good for a song.

  453. Well, this song has nothing on “Falling Slowly,” judging by the clip. Just saying. It sounds like a cross between Queen (vocals) and Aerosmith. I’m glad it’s not gonna be on his album, but I’m willing to wait and see if it’s a hit. Stranger things have happened. Plus, we don’t know the full song yet.

  454. Adam’s style doesn’t suit me, but it should be great for the movie. Also, I’m very happy that his fans like it!

  455. vids are only shot once songs are in the can, guys!

there were 2 sep vids shot

  456. Yes, that’s the only thing that will save the Oscar broadcast. Adam’s season of AI lost ratings, but him singing a cheesastic rock ballad crica 1983 is going to save the movie industry.

Give me a break. I think that the only songs they play are one’s that are nominated and I don’t think that’s happened yet.

I think Kirsten was being facetious? Fans of ALL Idols tend to speak in hyperbole at one point or another about their Idol. Just as fans of ALL Idols tend to come up with delusional excuses and scenerios when their Idol’s single or album doesn’t perform well. So what? If fans want to dream big or delude themselves, where’s the harm?

PJ, the answer is yes. A film doesn’t have to be high quality or Oscar-worthy itself in order for the soundtrack, theme song, costuming, sound effects etc. etc. etc. to be nominated.

As for me, I love what I heard, and that’s really all that matters to me.

  457. Well, this song has nothing on ‘Falling Slowly,’ judging by the clip.

What does Falling Slowly have to do with Adam Lambert’s A Time for Miracles?

  458. Boo to real life for interfering with this epic event.

Just weighing in to say how much I love TfM! It’s more than I dared to hope for. What a beautiful voice- it was a lump in the throat moment for me.

  459. rockvixen
October 10, 2009 at 12:04 am Chiming in to say that Adam does sing ‘us’ at the end of the clip.

Yup, I agree. Headphones on, definitely hear, “…’cause I ain’t givin’ up on US.”

  460. Adam’s tone is lovely and fascinating, so silvery and rich with an edge of rasp when he wants it.
isisdagmar-great description of Adam’s voice. I am constantly amazed at how different it can sound from song to song and still be distinctly Adam.
I love this song and his vocals are killer.
I am also a secret lover of disaster films. I can watch Armageddon, Independence Day, and Day After Tomorrow any time they are on TV even if it is in the middle of the movie, I don’t get tired of them.LOL! This one will have a special place in my heart now for sure.

  461. What does Falling Slowly have to do with Adam Lambert’s A Time for Miracles?

    Oscar conversation. Duh.

  462. I wonder if this video clip will be used in the pre-preview entertainment clips that are shown in the theaters? They often have short entertainment stories about upcoming movies, television shows, etc. Would be cool if it was.

  463. I love how, in the video, they show Adam waving his arm up and down discussing the song with whoever that is with him. Reminds me of the Flaming headdress video for some reason.

“Yeah, I can go up here and down here and it’ll be subtle and epic at the same time!!!!”

  464. A report from twitter:

someone just came back fr seeing Zombieland & they previewed 2012 & Adam singing was in the preview

YAy!!! to that. NOw we just need one you US peeps to go watch Zombieland and confirm please.

  465. new Adam`s photos !!!
    fucking hot !!!

Definitely hot in his new car. But the pap must have just about been in the car with him. Does it look like Adam is throwing his hands up?

  466. Well, peeps, it has been quite a day. Aside from the Red Sox going down 2-0 in the ALDS, I would say it’s been an epic one, and for Adam fans, it’ll just keep getting better and better (actually, for Adison fans). So hold on. Man, mj may have to post 50 Adam threads in the next month…

I keep imagining Adam on the Red Carpet…

    G’night.

  467. YAy!!! to that. NOw we just need one you US peeps to go watch Zombieland and confirm please.

Sorry, not even for Adam will I go near Zombieland!

  468. What a joy to hear Adam’s voice on new material. Can’t wait to hear the entire song. Glad they had the good sense to let his magnificent vocals be distinctly Adam and not crapped up by electronic “improvements.” Looking forward to the video, too.

  469. MJ has spoken. Don’t wanna rehash stuff about previous seasons’ ratings.

How bout that Adam Lambert and that 2012 thing. And those Mayans…..

  470. As an aside – but ON TOPIC – my husband (who often likes disaster flicks) asked me today if I had heard about “some movie” called 2012. Winning my own Oscar, I bit back snickers when I replied that I had, and why did he ask? He said that he had seen the trailer, and that it looked interesting. Would *I* be interested in going to see it?

HELL YES!! (And I don’t even have to fabricate a story as an excuse to go see a movie I wouldn’t normally be caught dead seeing)

HOORAY!!! [dances]  8)

    .
ETA: Oh. Zombieland. I was wondering where he had seen the trailer when I know he missed the roadblock! And, yes, we have *very* different tastes in films!

ETA#2: Another thought. This film is *truly* allowing Adam to reach new audiences. My husband, for one, would never intentionally seek out any musical output from AI’s “GayGothEmoBoy”. However, whether he intends to or not, he’ll nonetheless hear Adam at the end of 2012 as he’s the type to stay through the end credits. In fact, I think I’ll do my best to make sure he *doesn’t* know who sings TfM until AFTER he hears it.

  471. adamland- My 20 year old daughter thought Zombieland was hilarious. Now I’ll have to go see it to hear Adam in the trailer.

  472. MJ has spoken. Don’t wanna rehash stuff about previous seasons’ ratings.

    Thank you.

  473. A claim was made that Adam would reverse the trend of declining ratings on the Oscars. So I was just referring to that.

There was no claim of that whatsover. The “claim that was made” by me was that the Oscars have a TV show to produce, and a show that has seen declining ratings and, therefore, that they would be interested in having exciting live performances. Whether or not that would reverse the ratings trend is probably a topic for another thread. The topic here is Adam Lambert singing A Time For Miracles. I expressed the opinion that Adam Lambert signing A Time for Miracles on the Oscar broadcast would be entertaining TV.

Wonder if it’s like Shaun of the Dead. Now THAT was funny! But I think I’ll wait… I’m sure the trailer will be paired with lots of other films.

adamland- My 20 year old daughter thought Zombieland was hilarious. Now I’ll have to go see it to hear Adam in the trailer.

Disaster films I can watch all day, but I draw the line at anything with Woody Harrelson or Adam Sandler in it.

  476. I expressed the opinion that Adam Lambert signing A Time for Miracles on the Oscar broadcast would be entertaining TV.

Yes, it would be entertaining. But I’d rather hear him sing… :)

  477. Adam won’t win the oscar since it’s not given to the performer and he doesn’t have credit for the music or the lyrics (is this right?) but he will get to perform if he’s nominated, at least that’s the way it has worked in previous years, but there may not even be an oscar for the best original song this year.

Here is the list for oscar winning song: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academy_Award_for_Best_Original_Song#2001.E2.80.93present

A lot of Disney films here and to me it seems that the success of the movie does matter. I don’t see many “bad films” either.
I think it would help if they use the song during the movie or at least some of the melody like they did for the Titanic.
There’s a lot of people who refer to I Don’t Want to Miss A Thing as similar to this song and surprisingly it didn’t win that year.

  478. Upon hearing this for the 200th time (give or take) I love it more. (and I loved it in single digits) Downside-a week until the rest of the song. Curious can a snippet of song chart? Just kidding, Just kidding

  479. I love that Adam’s first music post-Idol is for the movie soundtrack. It kind of “breaks the ice” for him, and yet it’s not part of his debut album. (But I like it so much that, in a way, it’s disappointing that it won’t be on his CD.)

No one knows what the future holds for any artist, but it has been a JOY to watch Adam Lambert go from that first audition segment to the place he is in right now. I hope all his dreams come true.

  480. MJ supposedly left his share of the Beatles publishing rights to McCartney in his will as a way to ‘make things right’ .

    That’s great to hear.

Well IF he did it, not much left he owned to give back to make right, because I read that most of them are owned by Sony now because of him. Speaking of Sony, they own this film and, through a series of music companies, who Adam works for. Which is why I get why people point to Adam being a Sony artist for his being on this Sony film. Ahh, multinational conglomerates, what would we do without you?

  481. There’s a lot of people who refer to I Don’t Want to Miss A Thing as similar to this song and surprisingly it didn’t win that year.

For me (for you) I am not really that interested if it wins. I would hope beyond hope the song would be nominated so that Adam would perform on the Academy Awards. Its a Dream, a wish, an indulgent fantasy. Will it happen maybe not but in my travels I have learned that wishes sometimes come true…(Beside the universe owes me for that whole finale fiasco. Just kidding, just kidding ) :-)

  482. I have been saying this over and over to myself all evening so I decided to post it: in January of 2009 no one had ever heard of Adam Lambert and in October of 2009 he is being heavily depended on to promote a major big-budget movie release….fascinating.

I read somewhere that Adam has a “boy who fell to earth” aura about him and that is so true.

  483. From that Santa’s helper photo on Archuleta’s Christmas album, I can’t quite picture him tied to a disaster film. If TFM was sung by him but matched to a different film, yeah sure.

Not to mention the fact that he’d have to shoot the video with a couple of days’ growth of stubble! Not quite sure how that would work, LOL.

No the problem for me is that once I hear Adam’s version of a song, he succeeds in putting his stamp on it and thereafter it’s hard for me to imagine anyone else singing it. It’s already happened with the 20-odd secs of this one.

  484. For me (for you) I am not really that interested if it wins

    Yeah for real…..!

We have all already won…including Adam.

I really think when this song is heard in its full complete context, that as Brian May said…It will make jaws drop around the world.

Adam is the real deal, this song is the real deal, and his album will be the real deal!

  485. For me (for you) I am not really that interested if it wins. I would hope beyond hope the song would be nominated so that Adam would perform on the Academy Awards. Its a Dream, a wish, an indulgent fantasy. Will it happen maybe not but in my travels I have learned that wishes sometimes come true’ ¦(Beside the universe owes me for that whole finale fiasco. )

Now there is a post I can agree with!!

  486. I just realized that this song sounds even better if you close your eyes and just listen. The pictures are distracting. Try it. It takes my breath away.

  487. It takes my breath away.

Made my hair stand up on my arms…LOL!

  488. From that Santa’s helper photo on Archuleta’s Christmas album, I can’t quite picture him tied to a disaster film.

IDK. A very sweet, youthful looking Michael Jackson sang the theme song for a pretty creepy movie (and no, I’m not talking about “The Wiz”). Here he is singing “Ben” during the Oscar telecast. If anything, the sweetness of the song made the movie even more freaky. I remember watching the movie late one night while babysitting and it made me pretty jumpy. By the way, “Ben” lost to that other epic disaster movie song “Morning After” from “The Poseidon Adventure”.

That said, TFM would not be a good fit for Archie, IMO. He really doesn’t do rock wails which seem to be necessary for this song. It’s a good fit with Adam and the types of songs he chose to sing on Idol.

Yes, I agree completely. This song already belongs to Adam and now it’s hard for me to imagine anyone else singing it — and that is based on hearing just 20 seconds of the song.

That said, TFM would not be a good fit for Archie, IMO. He really doesn’t do rock wails which seem to be necessary for this song. It’s a good fit with Adam and the types of songs he chose to sing on Idol.

Yes, I agree. It’s like this song was just waiting for Adam. It’s such an odd set of circumstances — the song was written before Adam even auditioned for Idol.

It’s like the perfect (Adam) Storm….(yeah I went there) :-)

  491. sidewalkstory: I wonder if this isn’t some sort of straight deal where Adam only gets a flat fee.

I don’t think 2012 with millions invested in the project are aiming for the AI audience. World wide sales is the goal. I can’t think of another male singer that could sing the song as written other than Adam. He got one hell of a contract for his instrument, his vocal range and style. With all thats involved with this movie, he would be stupid to take a flat fee. There is a reason Adam/movie producers are releasing the single and video prior to the movie release, a percentage of sales maybe. Adam was promoting the single in the clip. International sales will introduce Adam to the world on a major scale. mho only.

  492. Yes, I agree. It’s like this song was just waiting for Adam. It’s such an odd set of circumstances ‘” the song was written before Adam even auditioned for Idol.

Another of those “meant to be” moments that are piling up for Adam. Did Emmerich go to Sony requesting Adam for the song or am I not remembering correctly?

Maybe your humble opinion but I agree with it 100%. As Q3 pointed out this song was written well before Adam was in the picture (2007 I believe) They were waiting for the right vocal for this song. What make Adam unique IMHO is he can sing like an angel or wail like a banshee but his wails are clear and pure. Which is what I think is needed for this song and why he is the only choice to sing it. Disclaimer: This is just my opinion

  494. adamland: Disaster films I can watch all day, but I draw the line at anything with Woody Harrelson or Adam Sandler in it.

I hope you weren’t planning to see 2012 because I think Woody Harrelson is in it per the movie poster and an ImDB reviewer.

Tony: So is this a faux coronation song? Sure sounds like it.

Q3: A bit but it sounds just like a movie soundtrack song to me ‘” big sound, pop song ‘” exactly what I expected. And, if Adam wasn’t available to sing it, I guess they could have gotten a female vocalist to sing it.

Aww, this makes me think of the TfM writers, Alain Johannes and Natasha Schneider of Eleven and Queens of the Stone Age (also Chris Cornell’s ‘Euphoria Morning’ CD). Natasha died of cancer in 2008 sometime after the song was written. I’ve wondered if it was written for Natasha to sing (for me it also takes most of the cheese out of the lyrics and replaces it with poignancy, similiar to what I’ve heard about DC’s Magic Rainbow song and it’s writer).

Here’s Natasha singing Howling Book… I think she would have sounded amazing on TfM too. Natasha Schneider – Howling Book

And here’s Eleven backing Cornell on a Letterman appearance. Alain’s guitar work sounds so good; I can see where the guitar bridge on TfM came from. Chris Cornell – Can’t Change Me

At least he isn’t the lead and hopefully he will be more of a “normal” person, which I can take him in those roles in small doses. I’ll just concentrate on someone else during those scenes. LOL

  496. If you listen to Linsdey Parker’s interview with Adam from the end of the tour, Adam was very specific that TfM was not representative of what his album will be like.

This may be true, but Rob Cavallo, who produced “Time for Miracles,” also produced 6 tracks for Adam’s album. I don’t know if they will all make the album, but it sounds like a number of them will. Therefore, there could be a number of similar sounds (e.g., Heavy guitars (yay!)). We also know the drummer on this track was also on the other tracks produced by Cavallo. Adam may not have a traditional “classic rock” ballad on his album, but I bet we see some similarities between this song and some on his album.

  497. Adam was promoting the single in the clip. International sales will introduce Adam to the world on a major scale. mho only.

I agree about worldwide sales — the single is already on some of Amazon’s international sites (France, Germany and UK) with a 10/16/09 on-sale date.

adamland: Another of those ‘meant to be’ moments that are piling up for Adam. Did Emmerich go to Sony requesting Adam for the song or am I not remembering correctly?

According to Adam, the project was presented to him by the producers — he never said which of the producers. The producers are Roland Emmerich, Mark Gordon, Harald Kloser, Larry J. Franco and Ute Emmerich. But after it was recorded, there are several people who said that Roland Emmerich approved the performance for the movie.

True, a lot can change in a month’s time. The sound of the album could have been altered from what he envisioned last month once they got together and really fleshed out the songs to see which ones would even be considered for recording, let alone what type of music would be best for those tracks.

Thanks Q3, at least I wasn’t off base by too much in remembering that.

  500. “Archie does not have the power to sing TFM.”
    power?

“He really doesn’t, bless his cute little heart. What is it that happened with his vocal chord? He sounds so raspy.”

Raspy??!!?? Dude’s voice is anything but raspy….
and btw it was partially paralyzed when he was younger, lucky he can sing at all.

  501. TFM and this video is getting positive feedback on twitter. I think it is treading #4 now. Ryan Seacrest twittered the link to the sound clip so Adam is definitely getting around, even on a Friday night, which is usually a slow news day.

I can’t wait to hear the whole song and view the actual video for it that was shot the other week. I like big power ballads for the most part, and I love Adam’s voice so for me personally its a win/win situation. lol I also love the way everyone rushes to state an opinion on Adam’s stuff. Getting people talking about ya is half the battle!!

  502. Um,,,just got home to find out the storm has began, I LOVE, LOVE <3 it, and most of all am so relieved to be able to hear his gorgeous voice, this gives me so much hope for the album, he described this song perfectly, so then hopefully the album will also live up to what he has said about it. What a great way to start the long weekend (Canadian Thanksgiving on Monday). I am indeed thankful :)

  503. If we’re getting into Oscar talk (which Adam wouldn’t win anyways, since he was not the writer), I don’t think it really has anything to do with how ground breaking a song is, but how it relates within the movie. Just look at all that schmaltzy Disney crap that would win year after year.

I think this is not so good. So I don’t know that I ever would have, but hearing his explanation and then his singing just so over the top, well it doesn’t work for me. It just sounds like I’m doing this because they told me to. Maybe if he had said nothing’ ¦ok, probably not, but he’d have had a better chance. In the end, I find Adam Lambert to be an OTT singer who has nothing to do with anything current’ ¦Oh and my kids (both of them heartily lolled for a long time

Well, sounds like you’re not a fan, but with both Kris and Allison having songs and albums out hopefully one of those will work for you and your kids. Lots of choices to go around.

  505. Q3: If you listen to Linsdey Parker’s interview with Adam from the end of the tour, Adam was very specific that TfM was not representative of what his album will be like.

LisaE: This may be true, but Rob Cavallo, who produced ‘Time for Miracles,’ also produced 6 tracks for Adam’s album. I don’t know if they will all make the album, but it sounds like a number of them will. Therefore, there could be a number of similar sounds (e.g., Heavy guitars (yay!)). We also know the drummer on this track was also on the other tracks produced by Cavallo. Adam may not have a traditional ‘classic rock’ ballad on his album, but I bet we see some similarities between this song and some on his album.

LisaE – I agree that there may be similar songs on the album but my comment was in response to some comments about today’s David Cassidy song recording session with the String Orchestra. My orginal point was just because there is a string orchestra involved doesn’t mean the album song will sound like TfM.

Regarding the Rob Cavallo produced tracks, I doubt he did 6 tracks that sound the same or that sound like TfM. Cavallo really has produced a broad range of work — Goo Goo Dolls, David Cook, Green Day, Paramore, Meatloaf and others (OK and Paris Hilton!!). And the drummer, John Miceli, is really talented and plays a wide range of genres. BTW since Miceli was on those 6 tracks, I am betting that Meatloaf’s entire band was involved.

I love TfM but I’m hoping that Adam’s album is more contemporary then TfM and I’m expection that there were only be a couple ballads.

That video has three, maybe four, snippets from the song cut and spliced together. The first part, then the bridge is spliced in, then something from the end. The very first part of the video might be the intro to the song.

This is going to be a 4 minute 43 second thrill ride of power ballad.

    AMEN! Fastening seatbelt :)

  507. Q3, all David Cassidy did was retweet Adam’s tweet about being at Capitol Records. I didn’t get that he had any hand in writing anything for Adam. His tweet was:

Right on! RT @capitolstudios @adamlambert Capitol studios observing full string orchestra recording for one of my songs!! It’s amazing!!!!!
about 16 hours ago from UberTwitter

The second part is all Adam. Did you find other information to indicate that Cassidy was involved in writing something for Adam?

  508. Wow, I just got here and over 600 comments already! Of course we haven’t heard enough to make definitive decisions on TFM but I can say: I like what little we have heard. It sounds like the absolute perfect song for Adam/his voice and who else could sing it better for a disaster movie? Cannot wait to hear the entire song and get the DVD. I’m not a disaster flick chick but perhaps Adam’s awesome and remarkably unique voice will make this movie worthwhile. I hope he makes lots of money for this and goes on to amaze the world with his CD! Waiting……..

  509. Well, sounds like you’re not a fan, but with both Kris and Allison having songs and albums out hopefully one of those will work for you and your kids. Lots of choices to go around.

That’s right Maria22 there are lots of choices, my #1 choice is Adam as I love all of Adam’s vocal styles.

  510. Okay, I just have to weigh in on this. Love it! I’m a true sucker for the rock ballad. every. time. I love DWTMAT. Of course this is based on the snippet(s). I hope the entire song plays out as I’m expecting.

    Two questions here:

    1) Why are peeps surprised that Ryan Seacrest was promoting Adam? I was expecting this all along…
    2) On the song snippet, what song does the end of the verse remind me of? I have tried but can’t pinpoint it. It definitely reminded me of something, and my hubby’s reaching back to the 70s on it. Right away I heard a similarity to something. Please help on this. Thanks!

P.S. congrats to Adam fans! :)

Eh, I don’t really like what I have heard so far. I think Adam is much better than the song (and the cheesy lyrics). His voice gets drowned out in the over-production.

Maybe when I hear the song in it’s entirety, I’ll form another opinion but for now, I’m not impressed.

To each their own and all that, but with all due respect, overproduction ????!!!Not in the snippet I heard, and with him singing his own back-up, amazing!!!

    power?

‘He really doesn’t, bless his cute little heart. What is it that happened with his vocal chord? He sounds so raspy.’

Raspy??!!?? Dude’s voice is anything but raspy’ ¦.
and btw it was partially paralyzed when he was younger, lucky he can sing at all.

Interesting. My daughter has Archie’s cd and listens to it ALL THE TIME! (I hear it all the time.) My daughter always comments that she loves the raspyness in his voice. Oh well, she seems to like it.

Now I remember about his vocal chord-it was paralyzed and he decided not to do surgery.

At least he isn’t the lead and hopefully he will be more of a ‘normal’ person, which I can take him in those roles in small doses. I’ll just concentrate on someone else during those scenes. LOL

Waaayyy back on a page with a single digit, someone nailed that line for me (for you). It’s almost exactly like Carly Simon’s line “I haven’t got time for the pain….” I can’t remember the song title.

I just don’t like the song, so coronation-like to me. It has nothing special, and the orchestra part sounds like a ripp off of ‘Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me’ by U2, the song used in Batman Forever, BTW that song truly rocks but was voted one of the worst that year.

Since I don’t think you’re joking (at first I thought you were) all I can say is that Kris is lucky to have fans like yourself who love his music and support him, and no need to worry about us Adam fans, we LOVE this song, se we are all happy, right !?

  520. Waaayyy back on a page with a single digit, someone nailed that line for me (for you). It’s almost exactly like Carly Simon’s line ‘I haven’t got time for the pain’ ¦.’ I can’t remember the song title.
Someone else brought up Eric Carmen.

The title of Carly’s song is “Haven’t Got Time for The Pain” — and it’s similar but really not that close.

I think it’s more that TfM is a classic rock ballad — and there were so many great rock ballads in the 70’s and 80’s that this performance just reminds me of them.

  521. Okay, I know I’ve played these snippets too much tonight and driven myself a bit batty, because as of right now my favorite line of the song is “We have to save what we can!” I start giggling every time. I’m losing it.

    Bring on the whole VIDEO!!!

  529. YES,YES, I’m jumping on the TFM ship!!! My heart flipped right into my throat when I saw the thread for his clip.
OMPG, I am already head over heels into this Power Anthemy, full Orchestral, sure to be extravaganza HIT. I can hardly wait to hear the
full impact of the entirety of this piece.

Thank the Masters of the Universe for this OTT brilliant singer. Yes he did include some Anthemy songs along with dance music, electronic pop sounds and songs that he believes in the message but does’t want to be a messenger in particular. He talked about this a few times now.
Naturally not all the tracks that are laid down will be on his album. Hopefully it will all fit together and we will get quality. If he recorded a number of songs with this Rob Cavallo, TPTB will probably give the ok to
another. I would imagine TFM will be on the Movie soundtrack. and perhaps as a single for adam and 19.

Anyway the Time For Miracles is now IMHO. It is time for us to pull together with all other humans to try and save our sorry asses from
    ourselves!!!!!!

So is this a faux coronation song? Sure sounds like it

well it was a faux competition, was it not?

    Absolutely :)

  531. Not surprisingly, I love the song (so far) – can’t wait to hear (and buy) the whole song. But I love Adam’s voice and have loved every song he’s sung (some more than others of course but love ’em all). I also really like Kris in LLWD, but don’t like Allison’s “Friday” song so much (not sure why but it just disappointed me – maybe I’m just too old). Love Adam, Kris and Allison though, and wish them all great success. Fianlly something to tide us over until Adam’s 1st single and Nov. 24!

It’s kind of upsetting me that Susan Boyle is so popular – I feel so competitive and protective of Adam. I don’t get why so many people are pre-ordering her album of all covers (is there any new, original music on it at all?) – guess I’m just not a fan of her voice so I don’t get it.

  532. I finally figured out why this song reminds me of 70’s and 80’s classic rock ballads — the vocals and instruments are real — not synthetic. So it sounds like power ballads recorded before vocals were modified. And it doesn’t sound like the heavily synthesized, robotic vocals that have become ubiquitous.

  533. cosmicpinay80 – Many thanks and hello. You should listen to the snippet, it is really, really good and when it soars, you feel as if Adam is taking you with him to Planet Fierce!

You hit the nail on the head Q3! I’ve been listening to Youtube vids tonight of some of those power ballads and you just can’t mistake the quality of music and vocals despite how old they are.

Actually, Q3, you may have hit the nail on the proverbial head. Based on an hwc suggestion on an earlier thread, I just finished watching a YouTube video in which the creators very cleverly Autotuned newsmakers and newscasters to create music from initially boring speeches (click here if interested). Now, as much as I now am astounded by the power of this software (and as much as I now believe that all of Joe Biden’s speeches should be Autotuned from here on out), you are absolutely correct that the software has truly stripped out most of the “organic” singing mastery that was so prevalent (and awesome) in the 70’s and 80’s power ballads.

  539. I can’t get over how awesome TFM sounds like it’s going to be! I just listened to it for what must be the millionth time today, and I seem to love it more and more each time I hear it. I really don’t see what people think is so cheesy about it. It just sounds typical of its genre in terms of lyrics and style. What really makes it stand out, of course, is Adam’s unique and amazing voice. I always loved his tone and fabulous range, but most of what we’d heard up until now was either live (with the tin can effect on Idol or the helium effect in the various arenas) or pretty cruddy studio production. So, when pros like Brian May and Meatloaf squeed like crazy over Adam, I believed them but had yet to hear and could only imagine what they had heard in the studio… until this little snippet of TFM. His voice is so full and rich and silky! How fun that we still have the rest of this song and then Adam’s single, which will be yet another genre, to look forward to in the next couple of weeks, not to mention a whole CD of new tracks coming up within the next 5 weeks or so. Yippeeee!

Adam was asked to sing the song. Get over it folks. Archie, Daughtry, Cook weren’t asked. They didn’t want our opinion. They thought Adam was best for the job. So he got the job and did a damn good job of singing it.

That about sums it up !

  542. This song is absolutely going to break Adam out of the Idol bubble. Can you imagine his incredible vocals is going to be heard all over the world? I was so excited with this snippet that I’ve had every person I’ve talked to today listen to it. Their first reaction was what a beautiful voice. Some recognized that it was Adam. Not one negative comment whatsoever. Later in the night, I got a few calls telling me, with a bit of snark, that they can’t get the song out of their heads. I truly believe when the entire song comes out, many, many people will know it and will be singing it. Who knows, it might even be a big hit for Adam.

  543. One more really nice thing about TfM: I love the back-up signer. They found someone who can harmonize perfectly with Adam — Adam.

That is so true, I love listening to both tracks of vocals layered together!

Now, the big problem is who do they get for his back-up singers for tour. Talk about a big search when they get around to that! It will definitely have to be all female IMO.

  546. One more really nice thing about TfM: I love the back-up signer. They found someone who can harmonize perfectly with Adam ‘” Adam.

LOL and very true. The layering of his voice is beautiful. I can’t wait to hear what I’d imagine will be a very tender into. to the song and the versus that lead up to that powerful chorus.

  547. I finally figured out why this song reminds me of 70’s and 80’s classic rock ballads ‘” the vocals and instruments are real ‘” not synthetic. So it sounds like power ballads recorded before vocals were modified. And it doesn’t sound like the heavily synthesized, robotic vocals that have become ubiquitous.

Yeah, you’re right. It’s nice to know we’re getting at least one song from him that has this natural quality (maybe that’s what he meant by “earthy”?). I found that in many cases I preferred the vocals of his live performances to those of his studio recordings because with the live performances there was more grit and emotion to his voice. (Could be something to do with needing an audience to play to?) But I get the same sense of emotion from this snippet of TfM.
But after having said all that, I’m quite sure I’ll like his entire album, even with all the polishing that will happen, since I love so many different genres, and his voice is just overall so spectacular. Yeah, he can sing anything and I’d probalby buy it!

Oh, and I’m really loving the rock wail in this song!

  548. Janus, I take comfort in remembering RedOne saying he wanted Adam’s voice to come through on the 6 recordings he did with him and since Rob Cavello produced TFM and also produced 6 songs for the album, I am hoping that at least some of each make it onto the album and that they have left his vocals alone.

  549. I liked the first part of the audio (“So nothing can stop me from trying”) then the rest of the video. Thus, I have my friends listen to both. I hope this single comes out next Friday instead of next, next Tuesday. I just can’t wait to hear the entire song. (Sigh, more waiting.)

  550. BestAI: This song is absolutely going to break Adam out of the Idol bubble.

I joked about this a page or two back. My husband, for one, would never intentionally seek out any musical output from ‘GayGothEmoBoy’ . However, whether he intends to or not, he’ll nonetheless hear Adam at the end of 2012 as he’s the type to stay through the end credits. In fact, I think I’ll do my best to make sure he *doesn’t* know who sings TfM until AFTER he hears it.

  551. 1997 called and wants their power ballad back.

I didn’t believe Brian May’s hyperbole about how super amazing this song would be, so hearing leftover Aerosmith didn’t shock or disappoint me. It’s just funny that after the cheese he avoided by losing AI (No Boundaries), Adam still couldn’t escape his own chunk of cheese.

I’ll just continue waiting for the cd he keeps telling me is amazing and different. Not going to invest in this one.

  552. HSM, my hubs already said we are going to see the movie next month, knowing Adam had a song in it. I just think when movie goers hear the beginning of Adam’s song, they will want to hear it in its entirety. His vocals just grab you that way. We both like to see most of the credits, so it wouldn’t be anything new for us to stay.

Oh, I don’t think I had read that about RedOne (I don’t know why since I’ve read just about everything on this blog having to do with AL since the beginning of Summer!), but that’s encouraging to hear. I do hope they’ve left his vocals as untouched as possible. However, I do remember him saying in an interview that he liked “slick” production. But that’s ok. I’m mostly hoping for variety from him and I really think he’ll deliver — not sure how he could fail in that area with all the different people working on his album! I find that when all the songs sound alike it either gets really annoying, or it will put me to sleep. And I don’t want either of these with his album. He did say get ready for a sonic lobotomy, so I think there’s hope. :)

  554. I miss the power ballads too. Don’t know why people have problems with them.

And for me, this song will never really be cheesy because of the woman who co-wrote it lost her fight to survive cancer July 2008. I know her husband will be crying every time he hears the words they wrote obviously hoping she would get her miracle.

  555. [laugh]

BestAI, my husband apparently saw the 2012 trailer while watching Zombieland, and thought it looked interesting. He then asked me if I wanted to go (knowing I’m not usually into disaster flicks). I QUICKLY agreed – but haven’t told him why!

He’s really not into Adam (his only AI exposure was watching NoBo during the finals!! Ugh! The one song all season Adam totally screwed up, and my husband refused to ever consider listening to him again). I’m really hoping he likes Time for Miracles (if he does, the title will say it all!). It would totally validate my (currently bewildering to him) fangirlness!

  556. BTW, #timeformiracles still trending … #3

Seems like Asia & Europe Fans of @adamlambert are keeping up the trending

  557. The first time i watched the short clip video of 2012 and listened to Adam’s TFM,I’m like OH my GOD!!!! Speechless(Can’t believe that,THIS IS IT….)Adam’s greatness begins”’Yeheey!!!!

  558. Well THIS American fan is going to squee one more time and go to bed. ‘Night peeps!

  559. HSN, that will be an interesting evening for your husband. I hope he doesn’t accidentally see a trailer with Adam’s song. I hope he does like TfM and grows to like Adam in general.

My husband thinks Adam is a really great singer but doesn’t spend a second looking him up or take it upon himself to watch my tivoed shows. I did put all of Adams AI songs on his iPod which he listens to whenever he goes to the gym (w/o me now, hah).

  560. Anyone knows when we can hear the whole version of Adam’s TFM? I’m really so proud of ADAM (well job done, my dear).

  561. Now, the big problem is who do they get for his back-up singers for tour. Talk about a big search when they get around to that! It will definitely have to be all female IMO.

I think the best bet would be just to rearrange it for live performance and replace the back-up vocal with instrumentation. Because that back-up vocal is really brutal to sing.

ETA: Looks like TfM will go on sale 10/16/09 (except for one reference on US site, all other references in US, UK, Germany and France have 10/16/09) so I would expect we should hear the whole song on Monday or Tuesday.

ETA #2: What is with the Friday on-sale dates? Why not just release it on Monday?

Awesome! I know from what I’ve read on here that Amazon doesn’t sell a ton of albums, but I was amazed that Adam was still selling enough on a pre-sale to stay in the top 10 for so long. I had wondered if a leak would spark sales again for him. Yay for him! Yay for us lucky fans!

  567. Q3, I am so shocked Adam has remained in the top 10 (lowest #8) for 13 days. Kris’s album is #163 and Allison 145. Kris, however, has sold more Albums than Allison, but his has been on sale much longer.

Excellent!!! As always, you’re investigative skills are much appreciated!
