David Cook Begins Tour at Penn State (With a Wardrobe Malfunction!)

David Cook began his co-headlining tour with Gavin DeGraw at Penn State’s Rec Hall in University Park, PA Sunday night (Oct 9).

Things were going pretty well until he had, uhm, a little wardrobe malfunction. His leather pants ripped all the way up his leg, with the potential for some exposure. Luckily, David was able to use his guitar as cover.

“It’s the first show and my pants rip up to my butt, ” said David, “All I could think about right now is ‘Dicklaration.’” That’s a little play on the band’s song, “Declaration” for those not in the know. I’m going to assume here that David had gone commando last night? Hm.

With no new pants handy, the roadies did a fast and dirty “mend” with duct tape. “Duct tape fixes everything!” said David. Ha. Definitely an eventful way to kick off the new tour!

The band’s set list was a blend of new and old songs, with a few fun covers mashed in: Circadian, Kiss on the Neck (w/Hotel California), The Last Goodbye, Hard to Believe, Heroes (w/Champagne Supernova), We Believe, Paper Heart, Come Back To Me, Right Here with You, Movin’ Out (Billy Joel cover), Declaration, Goodbye to the Girl, Light On
Fade Into Me.
