Posted at Entertainment Weekly.com–an interview with Kellie Pickler. Her single “Red High Heels” was released to radio this week.  The single drops September 25.  The album, “Small Town Girl” drops October 31.

Says Kellie, ” I'm really excited — I've co-written a lot of the songs. [It] drops on October 31, on Halloween. It's kind of like two holidays in one for me. [Laughs.]”  She describes the songs as “personal”.  One of the tunes,  “I Wonder” is about her mom, who she hasn't seen in many years.   Kellie mentions Aimee Mayo, who's written many songs for Martina McBride, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill as one of her co-writers.

Read the article–Kellie appears to be level-headed and very….no kidding…SMART.  Heh.

The soundtrack for Christopher Reeve's last film (he was directing) before he passed away features a song by Paris Bennett called “The Tigers”.  It dropped  this week.
